The Picker Knows is one of those places... Probably the premier, and my favorite, antique "mall" in the Des Moines metro! Rows and rows of vendor booth and cases. I'd hate to total the money up that I've spent here... And buying is great, but a lot of times I just have fun window shopping. Looking at the many different things here that I can't afford or have no business spending money on... Lol Very large display items, furniture, antiques, retro and vintage, some modern, a few clothes, comics, vinyls, Hot Wheels, some dusty and rusty things, handcrafted items, and tons of smalls! Prices are vendor driven. So some are high, some are at market, and there are great deals to be found here too. As a veteran I appreciate the veteran's only parking spot near the front door. At only 55 I pass it up a lot because there are veterans in A LOT worse shape than I am. But I have used it a couple of times. It's so easy to spend hours here! Vendors leave and new vendors fill their slots. And with the merchandise being vendor provided...the selection is ever changing! The staff is fantastic and always available for questions or to open a case! The bathrooms aren't terrible for this environment. They aren't perfect...pretty plain Jane...but they don't send you running for the hills. Lol The Picker Knows is a must stop in the Des Moines metro if you are into antiquing or thrifting!

I apologized for the error on my part and despite paying for shipping and the item I never received she has refused to do me the courtesy of removing the mark against me. I have no recourse save posting this publicly since the bidding platform informed me they cannot remove what she will not. I hope this note will spur Heather to please just correct the misinformation and the black mark against me from 2024. Yes, it's still on my record... PM West Central Sales and Auction LLC Bidder requested shipping, was asked to confirm their address. Turns out it was an old address and they disputed their credit card for non-receipt of package. 11/11/2024

Lee Roy Porter agreed to conduct an estate sale at my mother's home . He said it would be…read moreadvertised and promoted to ensure successful sale . However the sale took place over 2 afternoons only, starting at 4:30 in the afternoon and was NEVER ADVERTISED ! Multiple people made attempts to learn time of sale and it was not advertised anywhere . There was never more than 5 cars in the driveway during the limited time the sale took place . Then Lee Roy blamed me for the poor sale, was rude and condescending, referring to the contents as junk, that 2 months earlier he agreed to sell ! Lee Roy often stated he was a " professional" but failed to issue a correctly written check, which was rejected by the bank, when I informed him, Lee Roy told ME TO DRIVE TO HIS HOUSE for a replacement check . Lee Roy did not deliver on his promises made and was verbally abusive and belittling in following up . This is not professional behavior.
