I've been to Dave and Buster's location in Marietta, GA. I was super excited when they decided to come to my home state. Unfortunately, due to a series of events that have taken place in the mall over the last few years, I have just visited this location. An old friend and I decided to stop by here during the Christmas season. I love games, especially basketball ones, connect four or the games found out the fair. We used a digital card that was purchased in the summer so we bypassed the counter and walked right into the gaming area. We did not eat on this visit, so I can not review the food. While there were lots of games to choose from, there weren't many that we liked. Maybe we are old. Maybe the games were targeted to youngsters. I don't know. But I've been to other smaller arcades and have found a larger selection of games that I enjoyed. I'll go back to use up the remaining chips and just play the few games that I like. This is by far the WORST dining experience I've ever had. And I mean that wholeheartedly. I've never experienced anything like it. Management is non existent when it comes to helping servers. We waited 30 minutes for a table, which was clearly because they were short staffed. Okay fine, no problem. If we have to wait so she can get caught up and we can get good service, that was fine. But it wasn't. The server was so overwhelmed because she was in charge of every single table in the establishment. At one time, she had 14 different tables going on. At no point did the manager think to hop in and start taking drink orders, food orders, anything. Which is SHOCKING to me. You're there to help your team when there are issues. Get your hands dirty or find another line of work. Half of our group ordered, and then our server went to check on other tables (clearly our mistake telling her to check on her other tables - because we could see she was overwhelmed and we were a group of 15). It was a true 30 minutes before food came out and the other half of our group was then able to begin ordering their meals. The food came out for the second round of orders (which should have all been done together), but we were still missing 2 meals from the first group. We waited 90 minutes from the time of ordering to get the final 2 meals. I truly wish I was joking. The manager came over the THIRD TIME after telling us the food was coming to say "when I put those orders in, there was like 20 tickets ahead of it, that's why it's taking so long." As someone that's worked in restaurant my entire life, ON THE FLY MEANS ON THE FLY. Not after you finish the other tickets. She took zero responsibility for the situation, lied and gave our group the compete run around for 30 minutes. To be clear, the missing orders were a QUESADILLA and a PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. Not some outrageous order. The server somehow didn't ring them in to begin with (which is so weird because they literally have tablets on them for placing orders). But the manager assured us on TWO different occasions that they were coming. It was only on the third visit, we were met with this excuse. Our server began crying at the POS system after another (I think?) manager came over to her telling her we'd been waiting for our checks for 20 minutes. A dad from our group just went over and paid for the entire check on his own because we had been seated since 7:00pm and it was now 10:00pm. We were sat for 3 hours and felt held hostage to try and just leave. I still can't wrap my head around it. This is so clearly an absolute failure in management. If you're short staffed, you pick up and help. There was zero apology, just a few "power up" cards passed to us and a comp on the two 90 minute wait food dishes (uh, yeah, duh). As if we'd have any interest in spending another second there. I kept joking that if there ever was a time for someone to come in and do an undercover boss episode, this is the location. To do it so you can see how hard your business is failing. Your management is the worst I've ever seen. I oversee 15 restaurants throughout the state of Florida and I can absolutely assure you, if this was happening in one of my stores, it would be an immediate termination from my management. She never once showed sorrow for what was happening. She was defensive and argumentative when met with any type of frustration from us. This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had. If you go to Dave & Busters, whatever you do, DO NOT SIT DOWN AND ORDER FOOD. Just grab a drink at the bar and play some games. No need to to reply to this publicly and try to save face, I'll be sharing my experience on every other review site and reaching out to corporate about this. Take your L on this one, learn from it, and do better. Because this was horrid, and as a business you should be so embarrassed at the entire guest experience. read more

I really wanted to like this Dave & Buster's location in Birmingham, but unfortunately, the bad heavily outweighed the good. Let's start with the positives: the drinks were great, the happy hour prices were solid, and the bartenders were excellent. However, everything else was a major disappointment. The front desk staff were unpleasant right from the start, and the pricing system is incredibly convoluted. I was expecting to pay $72 based on what I was told, but I was ultimately charged almost $90. I received no receipt and absolutely no explanation for the upcharge. Once we got to the floor, the staff were incredibly unfriendly. We tried to play the Human Crane game, but there were no clear instructions on how to pay for it, and the floor staff were just flat-out rude when we asked for help. This place feels like it was originally designed and priced for adults, but it now caters almost entirely to children. Between the unexplained overcharges and the poor customer service, I definitely do not recommend it. read more

We brought our 10-year-old in for spring break yesterday evening between 4-7 PM. The food and service were both good--our waitress took great care of us, and we had no issues with anything we ordered. We ended up spending around $200 between dinner, drinks, and gameplay for 2 adults and a kid. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to the number of games that were out of service. There were so many unavailable that it really took away from the experience. Came in this evening for a late visit and boy was I impressed. This was definitely a true dining experience I wasn't expecting. The staff here is very friendly and I sat at the bar to watch the game. You need to holla at Nick! He is one of the best at the bar. I took his recommendation and had the island waters punch and it was awesome! He made dude my glasses were full and everything stone was kept clean and he was knocking people out left and right. Now the surprise of the evening was my entree. C.J. Is the executive chef and he came out and wanted me to try something different. He brought me a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. This was by far one of the best steaks I've ever had. He told me he makes the seasoning himself on the steak. It was so tender and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were amazing and the green beans were cooked to perfection. The entire experience was one I will do again. We came here on a Friday night to eat and play games. You basically sit anywhere to eat. We were hungry and wanted to eat first. The menu had a good variety of choices. I asked our server what would come out fast for an appetizer since I was very hungry. She recommended the nachos. They did come out fast but could have been hotter. That being said, I did like them. I ordered a burger for my meal but frankly was filled up from the nachos. I had a couple bites. Seemed pretty good. Took the rest home. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. I had gotten one of the meals where you get a drink and a 10 dollar game card. Let my daughter have the game card and her and my son went off to play for a little while. He has upgraded and got a 20 dollar card. The games seemed like it took a lot of "chips" to play. They went through them pretty quick. Hubby and I enjoyed our 5 dollar drinks off the happy hour menu while they played. Service here was good. I would come back but probably won't be for a while. read more

There are better alternatives, such as Bolero Montgomery, which offers a superior arcade experience with more gameplay and better value. While Dave & Buster's may provide more chips, they deplete quickly due to the high number of games. Dave & Buster's is the least recommended establishment. They do not offer refunds or compensation, making it an unprofitable choice. The recent increase in game prices at Dave & Buster's has been a source of customer dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the inconsistency in the color of game break-in card readers has further exacerbated the inconvenience. The cost of playing all the games to recharge the card is not justified. The activation fee is three dollars, while the cost of playing all the games ranges from $20 to $125, which is an excessive amount. Some games are not fair to play, particularly those that require seven or ten credits. The large pass wheel requires ten credits, which is excessive compared to a five-dollar spin. To address these concerns, I would appreciate it if Dave & Buster's could offer three spins for one price or make the games more accessible to win. I was very disappointed with the experience and have not returned in several months or years until there are improvements. I feel like I wasted a significant amount of money on your games and overspent excessively. The games should not cause the chips to deplete so quickly, and the rewards app should not be the most frustrating experience. I would like to see if there will be any price changes in the games. An email should be sent to customers and the rewards program. The rewards program should be easier to achieve higher levels as much as the cost of the games. I feel like I was scammed because the games were not worth the price. The price range was reasonable, but $20 or up to $125 was not worth it. I wasted over 1000 chips in just 10 minutes. I am also overly frustrated with Dave & Buster's. The area was nice but also unpleasant for the cost of games. nobody go here. Their customer service is awful. They don't even do any compensation at some point. Dave & Buster's is gonna lose customers for their outrageous price. I will have to mention this to the Better Business Bureau. First time visiting Dave & Buster's and we had an awesome time!!! We actually decided to go on Valentine's Day 2024. Arriving early there was no problem being able to play the games we wanted to try out. We were two adults enjoying games, a little competion with a side of laughter! I purchased the chips through the app, simple process. We encountered great people while ordering and receiving our food. Now the wait was a little long but once we received our food, all items were delicious. We had Double Pepperoni Flatbread as an appetizer and enjoyed the All American Cheeseburger and Buster's Bacon Burger with fries for our meal. We were able to enjoy $5 drinks (Backwoods Blueberry Lemonade and D&B Long Island Tea) during Happy Hour, not a lot of alcohol but still good! We'll be back!!! read more

Dave & Buster's can be a great place to get some family time in so that's exactly what we did! I love that you can spend your time between the food and games however you please. It can be a little hard to get settled at a table or the bar if they are busy but luckily we didn't have to wait long. Our server was a little upset that we ordered drinks at the bar while waiting for a table but that was understandable. We decided on the Cajun shrimp pasta, fries gpt, garlic parmesan wings, and mozzarella stack. The pasta was the star of the show!! We loved it. The wings were good but the fries and wings were not my favorite. The fries must have been sitting for a while bc they were cold and soggy from the sauce. We sent the mozzarella sticks back the first time bc they were still a little frozen in the middle. And when they came back they still had that same chill but decided to just leave it alone. Let me start with Dave & Buster's games are really fun to play, and it's a great place for groups to spend time together. However, when it comes to their table service and food process, it is absolutely terrible. We had a party of 6, and saw a busboy cleaning a table. We asked if the table was available, and he said yes once he cleaned it. We sat down, and then about 15 minutes later, we were approached by a couple that said we were sitting at their table. I explained that it was not their table because when we sat down, the busboy had just cleaned it. They were not happy with us and then said they had food coming to the table. I explained that if they wanted to bring a manager to the table that I would be happy to discuss the situation. They left, and about 5 minutes later, their food showed up. I explained the situation to the server, and she asked if the table was empty when we sat down. I replied yes, and she said that it was the other couples fault because they shouldn't have left the table. The manager never came by, and the couple never came back. Ideas that might help situations like this include: 1. Signs up that say, "If you leave your table, your items will be cleared, and your table will be given to someone else. 2. A hostess that assigns tables 3. A two hour time limit per table 4. Leaving order number signs on tables, so diners will know that food is coming and not to sit there. On the plus side, the food was really good. Next time, we will skip sitting at a table. read more

I was invited to celebrate a 21st birthday on a Tuesday evening. As an older adult, I was not very excited, lol, but wanted to attend the birthday celebration. The party already had a table close to the bar. Service was a little slow,but the waiters were friendly and helpful. The lights and noise level were typical of an establishment of this nature. I was surprised at how good the food was! The mushroom stout burger was juicy and the ingredients were fresh. Parmesan truffle fries were delicious- how can you go wrong with truffle?? We just had my daughter's 7th birthday party at D&B's and I could not be more pleased. When arriving, the manager and party appointee both greeted us with smiles and happiness. They were amazingly tentative, our waitress LV went above and beyond for us and was a blessing to work with. The manager checked in on us throughout the party making sure everything was good. OMG. I wish I could give them zero stars. This experience was absolutely terrible. The kids wanted to play so we decided to pop in and grab a "quick" appetizer until they were done. It took about 5 full minutes for our server to come by and greet us. When he finally did, he took our drink and food orders, but it was another full 5 minutes before we saw him again. The food finally came out but we had no forks or appetizer plates and our server was gone. The quesadillas were burnt, the nachos were terrible, and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls left a taste in my mouth that I remember 5 hours later-and not in a good way. First time was funny but after that we are just like whoever is placing orders need to learn their table numbers. Also when we finally did get our food it wasn't hot and not that good. Second time today receiving cold food. Also on top of that we were not impressed with the cocktails. My Strawberry Watermelon Margarita tasted like just syrup and my friend got a double vodka cranberry which was basically just cranberry juice. Terrible experience. Staff couldn't handle the amount of people they let in. Smaller kids were being run over and my son who's 7 even had things taken from him and ultimately his card too. Manager just said well it's real busy here no one has turned in anything.. so our visit was terrible and our money was wasted we just left the party early and we're glad we left unharmed. I would not recommend anyone have a party here unless your kid is much older and can fight off older kids. If you don't have the staff to keep the area safe then stop letting more people in. read more

The gaming was AWEsome, as is every D&B that I've ever been too. The reason for the 2 is the food service. Unfortunately, I was too famished and disgusted to take photos of the food. The display when I finally received it was good and the food taste was wonderful. After finally being greeted after standing at the host/hostess desk for 5 minutes, we were seated and told our waitstaff would be with shortly. Shortly must've meant sit here and wait 5-10 minutes and stop a waiter to get assistance. The waiter was new so I'll give him a little slack. However, I ordered a Caesar salad to go with my meal and that it would come out with my entree. Never heard of that before. Stopped a Manager because of my disgust. She advised that she would comp my salads and drinks. That didn't happen and then she volunteered to give me a free desert and game card or appetizer. That didn't happen. I don't care about the desert that I didn't want anyway, but I'm a man of my word and if you say you are going to do something, please do That! Needless to say, D&B, you still have my business but I will NEVER return to this location. read more

I'm updating my Dave & Buster's review based off my dining experience. Of course, I love the game part of Dave & Buster's but the restaurant needs to do way better! So a little over a week after my first visit to this Dave & Buster's location, my husband and I decided to take the kids when it first opened on a Saturday to see if we could beat the crowd. Well, we didn't! Lol! Many other people had our same idea. We played games and had a great time. After we finished playing, my husband suggested we eat there because it was convenient. So, we put our name on the waiting list for the restaurant. After about 5 or 6 minutes, we were sat down. Our waitress did not want to be there. It was very clear from her voice tone and body language. Listen, there are days I'd rather not be at work at, but my customers/members never know. Sometimes, work requires you to put on an act like you're trying to win an Emmy. That's life. We needed a few moments to order and she definitely gave us time. When she came back, she took our order and abruptly walked off. We waited a while for our food. Come to find out, the servers don't know the table numbers, which caused food to be brought out to the wrong tables. The people who were sat after us received their food before us. They got a salad and sandwich that should have went to another table. I know this for a fact because our waitress and another waitress got into a loud, unprofessional conversation about the servers "screw-ups" about 5 feet from our table. When finally got our food, it was okay. Not the best burger and wings we've had, but not the worse. There were other poor service things I could mention, but my review is long enough. We were more than ready to go because many of the employees in the restaurant just didn't seem to care or know much about their jobs. They were not the best representation of D&B. I enjoyed my visit to D&B's, but there are definitely some kinks that need to be ironed out. My main concern is the customer service. The restaurant wait staff was very slow, and even the attendant at the Jurassic Park game moved as slow as molasses. And just as disappointing was their lack of enthusiasm or appearance of wanting to work there. I've seen more energy from a Walmart greeter. Our party of eight had lunch in the right side dining room. We started with the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Dip Trio appetizers. Both were pretty average. For my entree I ordered the Fire Grilled Salmon, and was pleasantly surprised with it. The fish was fresh and was cooked to my liking - firm, but not overcooked. The Louisiana seasoning was salty and a little spicy. The bartender recommended the Irish, and I thought it was an excellent choice. It is made with Patrón tequila, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Cointreau, peach puree, sweet 'n' sour and ginger ale. Smooth and refreshing. The game room is huge and a ton of fun. There are a wide variety games, and something for everyone. We each purchased the $23 power card, and it kept us entertained for over two hours. My favorites were the Jurassic Park Virtual Reality (extra $5) and the Walking Dead game. read more

I reviewed the Marietta location a few years ago, I had corporate reach and and said call us... no answer no replies nothing. I know the world sucks right now but noon during the week and one waitress to serve everyone? After 10 minutes waiting for the waitress and another half hour for our appetizer to arrive and there are again about 30 people here in the bar area (only area open). If it weren't for the overpriced games I don't think I would ever come here again. Sunshine our waitress had without doubt been somewhere smoking weed before she started taking orders so maybe... Update: so after I wrote this review we went to the game area, and Many of the games did not work just a red error sign on the screen. They apparently did not have a tech to fix games so if it was broke sorry. I spent an hour (pathetic I know) playing the Star Trek game my favorite. My wife played as well two of the stations stopped working for her and a third didn't work when we got there. In the hour the one I was on just stopped moving the coins and the second spot just froze on me. I had bought a $60 card specifically to win the collector cards for a higher ticket value. I was one short the card was literally on the edge I had just a few more rounds and it froze and stopped working. After 20 minutes trying to find an employee in an empty building they said maybe I shouldn't play that game any more. No out of order sign was placed on the machine and people kept trying to play. The manager really tried to make it up by giving me more game plays which is great, but again I had an agenda. I've been waiting for this place to open up...since I was probably a kid actually! They have almost everything you need for fun with your friends. Food, drinks, games both arcade and what you would find in a casino. I'm so glad D&B finally found it's way to Birmingham! It's located in the Galleria, but you can only enter this place through the outside of the mall, not from the inside. When you walk in, you can either go towards the bar, the game area, a few booths near the game area to sit and watch sports, or to a more formal area to eat. We chose to go in, get drinks, play games, eat, and play more games. I had a strawberry watermelon margarita. So sweet and delicious. Even the ice cubes are fun and filled with fruity flavor. When you play games, you buy a game card which can be used by as many people in your party or you can buy individual ones. They sell game play in all sorts of amounts so you can load your card with as little or as much as you want. I think you can come back another time if you don't finish as well as top off if you run out while you're playing. There were so many fun games! My favorites were the Wheel of Fortune, Jurassic Park ride, this coin casino game, and hitting a ball at targets. At the end, you earn tickets which you can redeem for prizes or food from their cafe. You can also choose to save up for a big prize which may take a few trips here. I chose a stuffed sloth as my prize! I love it! You have to check this place out. We went for the first time tonight and we had a lot of fun! We met up with some friends for a birthday and we all were pretty much scattered around doing our own thing playing various games. We did not eat there but I did hear that the wait was very very long for the food. When you walk in you purchase a card and put money on it. Then you begin playing games and your tickets get saved on your card. If you wish to redeem a gift that day you can or else you can keep your card and come back to play more. You can always add more money on your card. I never saw long lines for any games. I would definitely go back. It had a huge bar and lots of seating. It's a great place for everyone to have fun! First time to eat at Dave and Busters and second time to game. I arrived at 4 on a Saturday to be told it was a 2 and a half to 3 hour wait which is absolutely crazy. I went into the bar area and was lucky enough to find a booth within 5 minutes to sit at. We ordered pretty quickly once we sat down. I tried a burger. It was a nice meal and pretty good, but nothing stood out about it. I got the steak fries with it, but didn't realize they don't automatically come with. They are really good, but probably not worth an extra 3 dollars. As we finished the meal, I was alerted that the meal was ready. It was probably an hour and a half wait. Our waiter started out so great and went down hill quickly. On my receipt alone, they had to remove 30 dollars worth of food items that I didn't order and 20 dollars in gameplay I didn't order. The game area is a lot of fun, but on a Saturday it is just too crowded. I was annoyed that a stranger pushed me out of the way to get to a game when I was walking around the game area. Rude teenagers. I will be back, but more than likely not on a weekend and once. The food here was surprisingly delicious. I thought it wouldn't be because I figured chains that focus on "fun" are usually disappointing. I'm kind of picky so that's a lot coming from me. I had the zoodles and Tuscan chicken. Everything came out super fast and most everyone sitting with me enjoyed their food as well. Good quality and large portions. Priced fair but kinda high. Playing the games were fun too but I got a headache after 20 minutes, I blame old age. This would be a good place to come watch the football game as well. Service was decent and our waitress did not make any mistakes. We had several people come by and check on us! Come here and enjoy the food and yes stay and play a game or two! read more
