Tonight was a mixed bag of ying & yang. Not quite a 4star night, but better than a 3star. The good. A remarkable server, Mia, who worked the entire room including our group of twenty. The bad? Not much support from the kitchen. No-one's food came out at the same time. Some were literally finishing their dinner when others were just being served. It shouldn't be so hard to get 10 orders of burgers & fries to come out at the same time. My wife ordered Elotes Cauliflower and a side of crisps & guacamole. They were served last. And the cauliflower came out ice cold. To her credit, Mia went straight to the kitchen and the kitchen manager came out to apologize and remade the order. Wings are on special this month on Thursdays. 20 for $20. I went with 10 Nashville and 10 Lemon Pepper. I didn't realize the Nashville wings were sauced. I prefer dry rub, like the lemon pepper. Still, both flavors were pretty darn good. Just a little messy. Thankfully, wet wipes came with the wings. The wings were on the small side, but at that price, a bargain. The ranch dressing that came with the wings? Thin with Zero flavor. It barely "stuck" to the celery sticks. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meal. And the kids had fun in the game area. The restaurant, game room and restrooms were very clean. A little better coordination in the kitchen would have turned a good night into a great night. read more

Y'all, I have never been to a Dave and Buster's, and what started out as a long winded joke with a buddy turned into our 4th of July plans. I'm guessing my experience was unique in that there was barely anyone there! Service was on point. L.I.T. hit just right. And... am I nuts or were the fish and chips delicious? Yes, yes they were. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, with a delicious seasoning. When they said they didn't have malt vinegar, I was convinced this should be illegal, but lo and behold, the dipping sauce had a really nice tartness that made up for it. I do wish the games wouldn't end so quickly. Sometimes I spent tokens (or power play points, whatever the right phrasing is here!) for a 5 second experience! But other than that, I had a very nice time. read more

Great food & drink, service is hit or miss but shout out to Josh (server), Curtis (manager), John (manager), and Kevin (games guru) for consistently superb hospitality! Admittedly, I'm a little bent out of shape that Dave & Busters increased the wait time between game play to 40 seconds (why?). It used to be 30 seconds between games, using the season pass card. Even the 30-second wait was a pain. Please fix that "value reduction", someone. Otherwise a fun place to hang out, especially now that they have lots of new games. Hadn't been in since their interior remodel. Came today and had fun playing ski ball, air hockey, & a few games in the a/c in the middle of a hot afternoon. I was excited to finally come out and try this place and my kids were super excited. When we walked in I did notice that it was super clean and nice looking. The games were well kept and nice and clean. The prizes were pretty good and they had lots of options. I do think there could be a better explanation on how the points/chips work. The real issue was the food. The service was horrible. The lady was super slow and super confused all the time. The kids portions are too small for everyone except four and below. And they don't included drinks like most kids meals. My fries appetizer came out cold. And burgers looked good but didn't have much flavor. Overall this place is way too expensive for what you get. I would love to see some simple changes to make this more friendly. read more

My teen son and I take a yearly trip here to play the arcade games. The game cards can be pricey, but it's once a year, so I let him do what he likes, and he enjoys it. I wear my headphones because it's extremely loud and I watch my step cause it's dark. The games are fun. I usually play DDR and kick his butt at skee-ball. The folks who take your e-tickets at the end and exchange them for prizes are always super kind and friendly. I wish it was a bit cleaner. The hand sanitizers have often been empty. read more

Dave & Buster's has been promoting their new menu with 50% off, so we decided to have a lunch date there. Unfortunately, we learned our go-to menu items were discontinued. I miss the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. Husband misses the voodoo pasta. We really enjoyed the barbacoa fries, but neither of us was impressed with our entrees. I had the bacon burger, and he had Cajun pasta. I can't say that we will hurry back. This used to be a place we frequented for good food and games. We came for my son's 13th birthday on Wednesday night and it was a great experience. We had 8 ppl in our party and booked a reservation online for the TV area that had tables and booths, and far enough away from the bar and games to decrease sound. Our server took great care of us checking in on orders and drinks. We also had a lot of help from the front desk loading a game card. Games are half priced on Wednesday. My son played a lot and we still have several points on the card to come back. Food was good. I didn't see anyone complaining or send back their food. I ordered the burger and fries. At night they offer app and drink specials, 9p and later. So many games!!! The whole area is brightly colored. We didn't experience games being out of order. I loved all the small tables scattered in the space to place bags and purses or drinks. The entrance does have a lot of steps. Around the corner is an elevator to get to the main floor. read more

Extremely disappointed that the waterfall game is still not working it's been broke for over two months

Still one of our favorite places to go for date night! Tried one of the adult beverages and it was suuuuuper tasty. Caribbean Long Island Ice tea. I don't like the taste of alcohol but this thing basically tasted like candy. We really like the addition to the life size Hungry Hungry Hippos game since it was one of my favorites as a kid. We used the coat check for the first time. It's $1 an item which honestly seems ridiculous to me, but we did it anyway. All the employees are super nice although it did take us a bit for someone to get us drinks because we walked up to the bar instead of sitting. Let me start off by saying our food was great. We ordered the teriyaki steak and changed the mashed potatoes for Mac and cheese. Steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. We did add an order of garlic bread which had the consistency of a crouton but was still pretty good. No complaints about the food at all. Where I am going to complain is the $54.99 unlimited play. My son has passed and this would have been his fourth birthday. Every year we have gone to this location on his birthday and tried to win as many tickets as we can and then pass them along to a kid. Generally we do pretty well and it makes the kids day. With the unlimited play option we were under the impression we could play for 90 minutes any game which we hoped we give us the opportunity to win lots of tickets. The server didn't tell us anything else other than that was an option. Once we tried swiping the card, we learned that not only were we limited to certain games we could play with the card but it capped us off at 1500 tickets which completely defeated the purpose of why we were there. I actually hit a 1000 ticket jackpot on a game but because I was near my max I only got 2 tickets and that's when we realized what was going on. Also, It didn't take anywhere near 90 minutes to hit that max. We wish we would have had the unlimited play explained to us better because we would not have chose that option at all since it didn't fit our needs and I would have spent the extra money to get the 900 credits for $120. read more

This will be a mixed review. I'll start with the negatives then end with the positives. Arrived around midday so it wasn't too busy which allowed us to find a table quickly. The server which was I think the bar tender quickly took our order and was very polite. After our food arrived, this is where the quality took a hit. The Philly cheesesteak was a 6/10 and was heavily salted. The shrimp and steak Alfredo was...warm at best and the steak was supposed to be a medium well. You can tell by the picture it was short of expectations. We informed the server who quickly informed the kitchen who prepared another steak which was cooked properly but.. They admitted to trying to scam us... Let me clarify that our server was great before I go on this rant. We waited an hour and a half after getting the appetizer to get our food. When the appetizer was brought out it had cheese on it, which someone on our table had told them initially she was allergic to it. When the actual food came out, they had given us sliders for the burger and not an actual burger patty. We said something, and they got the manager. The manager came out and said "you're right those are sliders, our burger patties were frozen together, so you're missing about an a couple ounces off of your burger" IT IS INSANE THAT HE SAID THAT. Furthermore, wings were super cold and had almost no sauce, so they brought out cups of sauce to dip on it.... I was told the chicken sandwich is good though? read more

The service with the games experience is just fine, but food side needs a LOT of work. I was sat with my friends, two of which couldn't be with us long, hoping to get a quick lunch before we played a bit in the arcade side. The food took thirty minutes for it to arrive, with minimal check in from our server about our order, aside from telling one of my friends they were out of what she ordered twenty minutes after she ordered it. My son and I ate at Dave and Buster's and played some games. It was a little confusing coming in; I didn't know that I had to be seated in the restaurant after checking in the front desk. But the server was gracious and accommodating. I was able to buy my game card at the table. My son and I both had buffalo chicken tenders, fries, and a soda. The food came out pretty quickly. At first, it didn't look like a good value - only 4 small tenders for 11.75. But the fries, at only 2.00 were plentiful. Unless you are ravenous, one order of fries is plenty for 2 adults. The food was tasty enough, and I liked the seasoning on the fries, but I wasn't blown away. It was what I expected. After our food was out, service was a bit slow. I think our one server had too many tables. There were a lot of employees in the restaurant area, but they may not have been serving tables. It took a while to pay the check, but the server was apologetic because she had been waiting on a sandwich for another table. The only thing I didn't like was that the receipt figured the tip based on the meal plus the game card. I don't think it was anything anyone there could control, but it made me look like a cheap tipper when I tipped 20% on the 36 dollar meal. I was happy with the game area - smallish, but easy to walk around, very clean. The games were okay value. It was easy to win enough tickets to get my son a decent prize without spending too much. For 25, you can get 150 points, which is plenty for one kid. No more expensive than any other place. The restrooms were clean and the games were well-maintained. We had a good time. Food was pretty average and on par for the type of setting. Plenty of game options and our child had an amazing time.

We visited on 12/6/25. My card was charged twice for our meal, $155.45 x 2. I immediately made our server aware who requested the mgr come over. After she asked the mgr to come over several times she finally did. She made one excuse after another. I asked for confirmation that the second charge would be removed. She would leave promising that she was getting a resolution for me but would never return until the server would keep telling her to come and finish helping me. I then call the corporate number from the table and the person I spoke w/there assured me that the second charge had been refunded. After two weeks, I realized the charge had in fact still not been refunded. I called corporate who said it had to be taken care of at the local level. I then called the restaurant (I live 2 hours away). I was put in contact with Jonathan Burkhart who is supposedly the store mgr. I emailed him my bank statement showing the duplicate charge and lack of any refund, the text confirmation where I had spoken w/corporate, images where I'd left my info for the mgr on duty the day of the charge because she promised she would contact me once she confirmed everything. He immediately called me and said he would work on taking care of it the next day and would call me once he got to the restaurant. He never called so that afternoon I sent an email for an update. He called me then and said he had looked into it but could not process the refund due to some issue with their system and he was having to reach out to accounting to get it forced back to me. He even promised to refund ALL money, both transactions. He said he would send me an email to confirm all of this info. Four more days passed with no email or updates, so I sent another email asking for a follow up. Nothing. Today, 23 days after the incident, I still have no update and now he is not responding. So I have put in a complaint with the BBB, and my card is now beginning a dispute under the Fair Credit Billing Act. So we are out an extra $155.45, and I missed the fun time with my kids in the gaming area because I was having to stay in the restaurant side that day and wait on a manager who didn't want to deal with the issue. It will be the last time we ever visit a D&B or a Main Event. read more

Had a family birthday dinner yesterday at Dave and Busters and we ALL cannot stop talking about their amazing food. Apparently they just rolled out some new menu items. One of us is eats keto, two of us eat paleo, and one is a vegan. Everyone else is an omnivore. They had something delicious for everyone. When I tell you this ribeye was good, I mean it was reaaaaal good *said in a deep southern drawl*. Had a garlic butter on it and the ribeye itself melted in your mouth -- more so than Ruth's Chris has ever delivered for me. Spicy green beans, Brussels, cauliflower, and asparagus were also a hit. As well as the dumplings, pretzels, salmon, and ribs. Kids all loved the desserts as well. Wish I had taken more pics of the food for everyone. Really was delicious. Our server was also amazing. He was knowledgeable about the menu, quick, efficient, and kind. The manager also came over to check on how we liked the new menu items. It has been years since I have been in a Dave and Busters. During my traveling days for work, I got to go to the original D&B in Dallas Texas, before D&B branched out to multiple locations. Since then I have been in many of their locations, but I have not darkened the doors of a D&B since my children went off to college many years ago. So, on this particular Saturday, I was feeling nostalgic, and I wanted to feed my sentimental feelings with a trip to D&B. So off I went. I parked and walked in. Climbed the stairs and smiled when I saw all the video games and the bar area with all the TVs. Since it was after lunch and more importantly, I was hungry, I found a seat at the bar. The bartender came over quickly and took my drink order and handed me a menu. I glanced over the menu; I downloaded the D&B app to my iPhone. I placed my order for buffaloed chicken tenders and fries while I enjoyed my ice-cold beer. It was not long before my food came out and it was very good. Above normal bar food in both taste and portions. As I ate, I registered with D&Bs app, and ordered a sizable number of chips. I wished I still have my old D&B cards. I know with all the money I spent on those I would be way up in the D&B awards program. Oh well... After I ate, I tried to figure out how to get credit for my food purchase recognized by the app. Since I had not been in a D&B since they had cards and paper prize tickers with large buckets to carry your days' winnings in, I had to get help. Several D&B employees came to my rescue and got my food purchase credited. So yes, the service was excellent. I settled with the bar and headed into the game area. It took a few times to get my iPhone and its readers to work, but I soon got the hang of it and was happily depleting my chip total. I even played a few ticket games. Instead of paper tickets, my ticket total was updated in the app. Not getting paper tickets was kind of disappointing. I know the business reason to get rid of a single-use paper product, but I still missed them. The biggest thing I missed was picking out some unexpecting child and handing them all my tickets. But, since I could not give away my tickets (maybe there is a way, but I just do not know how), I headed into the awards area, made my selection and had the young man check people out and show me how to redeem my tickets. And just like that, my D&B adventure was over. I really enjoyed going back in time and being a kid again. From the service, support personnel, cashiers, etc... It was all good. I look forward to going back and this time trying some VR games and shooting some pool. I plan on not waiting so long this time to darken the doors. read more

Daven busters is a giant arcade that has many different games overpriced food and drink specials and things like that for everyone to try. I've been a few times to play the different games and take my kids on adventures for birthday parties and things. My first trip to D&B was a huge success. Apparently there was a huge church fair that weekend so the place was rather slow for a Friday night. Our waitress was super friendly and nice, despite having to order via our phones. I hate how impersonal it was but in a world full of Covid, I love the idea. My fiancé had IPA fish and chips and I had the Classic American burger. We scarfed everything down and then spotted the bomb pop margaritas on the big screen and had to order them. Best $4 purchase ever! Afterwards, it was on to the games. We didn't have to wait for open games or fight the crowds. Dave and Busters!!! We FINALLY got a Dave and Busters!! Okay, so maybe we already have like 3 other places in town that are similar, but Dave and Buster's is the OG. Plus, I just like them a lot better for some reason. If you have been living under a rock, Dave and Buster's is an arcade/sports bar. While kids are allowed to come during the day, it seems to be geared a bit more towards adults, which is does become adults only after a certain time period in the evening. The new space is very nice, attached to the St. Matthews mall. To the left is the "Dave" side, the big arcade and the right is the "Buster's" side, the restaurant. All of the staff were very welcoming and many greeted us as we came in. We started at the arcade and went with the cheapest selection, "60 chips for $12" I honestly didn't think at first that it would be enough, but it actually lasted us a good amount of time..each game is around 6-9 chips, and it's all on a card so you do not have to keep up with actual tokens. The pricing is not as bad as I thought, but of course they do have their tactics to get you to spend more. Some of these are reasonable deals. While eating at the restaurant, they have a lot of "Eat and Play Combos," where you get an entree and $10 game card for about $18 bucks. We ended up doing this and were glad we did! The restaurant service was a little slow, but we had a nice server. Their food is mostly sports bar, American food, but they do have some cool selections on there. But what I really love are their drinks! They have so many random, weird and quirky ones, like boozy snow cones and drinks with gummy worms in them I tried the Frose' and loved it! I think Dave and Buster's will be my go to arcade. Mostly for the convenience of location but also because I think they have the best deals and friendliest service. read more

Now this location has just opened their doors. It has several hiccups. Especially in service. I know the standard they have at other locations I've been to so I have to say that they came close to the rest of the locations I've been to. They also have half price games on Wednesday's. Then again I've been going to Dave and busters for years. I would suggest you visit and see for yourself. Now they are just newly opened so they are still working out some of the start up kinks. They have party rooms and party game packages like all gaming arcades I've been to. But for the price I believe it will stand out and bring in people in that have gone to other competitors. They will be shocked to find that this location has great food and great people running it. You have to be a little patient. Food runs a little long for now. Our 16 yr. old son wanted to eat here for his birthday. At times, it can be difficult to meet the needs of teenagers by making them happy. He and his friends watched two UFC championship rounds, ate wings & fries, and played games for an hour. They had a great time. Looks fors - 1. I really love the atmosphere. It wasn't crowded at all. We went on the a Friday around 4p. We were comfortably enough to give our kids the cards and let them run free. The staff wears masks. I don't think I saw gloves. They did not take temperatures as you come in. They did have the tables marked on where you could and couldn't sit to social distance. I do feel like the prices are kind of high. I had to get a new card and the card itself was $3. I think that is ridiculous that you have to pay that much for a card plus have to put money on it. You only have to pay that $3 one time though. I just think that's too much. We ordered several things. Chicken quesadilla, cheesecake dip, kids Mac and cheese and kids cheeseburger and fries. The chicken quesadilla was really good. I think it had the perfect amount of peppers, cheese and chicken inside of it. I do think they burned the tortilla but it wasn't too bad. I didn't think it was extremely spicy either but I also have a high tolerance. The kids loved their meals. The Mac n cheese was Kraft so if you are a Mac n cheese connoisseur, just know it is Kraft. The kids cheeseburger is a nice size too. It's definitely a normal size burger. Thank could eat that myself as an adult. The cheesecake dip, it was pretty interesting. Kind of an adult gatti land but way more expensive and honestly while the food is dressed up as fancy looking it is not very good. Glorified bar food. We went on a Sunday morning for a birthday party at 11am. The place was a wreck. Very messy. The men's room was out of toilet paper and paper towel from the time we got there to the time we left (around 2pm). The big set of stairs you climb as you walk in was overflowing with dust bunnies. As for the games the options and games themselves were pretty good and fun. However they charge you $3 to activate a game card. As someone who has multiple kids that took away from the experience as I was $20 plus in without having a bite to eat or even seeing a game be played. Also they do credits or tokens and the pricing for the games are so weird and not even. For instance one game might cost 6.3 credits while another might be 5.2 or something. I get it is a ploy to make you buy a bit more because you still have some balances left but it is a cheap tactic that an established name like Dave and busters shouldn't have to stoop too. All in all I was let down by this establishment. Bad food, insane prices, carnival level tactics to drain Your wallet and bathrooms filthier than a carnival port o pot. At least those have toilet paper. I had high hopes and always wanted to try a Dave and busters as I enjoy similar venues. I will not go back to not only this filthy location but I will not attend any other Dave and busters locations. Do us a favor and do not expand in Louisville. If you read MY reviews on places, I often say I don't review on the first visit, because I like to give a place several chances, unless it's an EXCEPTIONAL Service. This Dave & Busters is in a PERFECT location, it is my go to for drinks before heading to the movies. Or after shopping and the kids still have energy. The Game area is amazing, evenly spaced out and if you have coupons you can definitely save a ton. So before you go just subscribe online with them and wait for their emails to come. The variety of games are also great. Perfect for different ages. The arcade area is not an issue at all with this place. I also like the fact that there is different areas to sit in, and last night we had a party of 10 and we all sat together in a booth. They have TV's just about everywhere you look and if you want a certain channel in front of you, just ask. Food .... I've been to this Dave & Busters several times already. I always order the same thing (fries, gliders & Buffalo wing) and (Dip Trio- chips with Cheese,Beans & Guacamole dip) EACH TIME the food get worst and worst. Last time I order this I can tell the guacamole was brown/black (needed lemon) no trace of green, the chips were stale, the wings were COLD to the touch with barely any sauce, all of the food was just plain bad. I feel that this place is EXTREMELY under staff. The staff does the best they can, but you can see it in their faces their exhaustion. The waiter last night took 17 minutes to bring us 2 cups of water, and one of the waters had some green thing floating in the bottom. If you go, I will have some suggestions...
