I really want to like Dave and Busters but each time I go, the games are fantastic and m family enjoys them but the meals are very disappointing, especially when you factor in price. On this occasion, we made our way to a table and were immediately greeted. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu which is definitely a plus. We ordered drinks and they were brought out quickly- our issues began when we ordered our food. My son and I were going to split the Impossible Burger. Unfortunately they were out of stock which we were told by our waitress. Without a main vegetarian option, we were left wondering what else we could order. We settled on the nachos, a salad, fries, and tomato soup. Our food was brought out quickly but the nachos were lacking in flavor and quality. They were nothing more than chips covered in a thin layer of cheese and the other toppings were sparse. While we did omit the meat, under the top layer was more chips without anything to accompany them. I did ask for salsa eventually and was brought a tiny ramekin. For the price, the food was really underwhelming. The good part was that my kids enjoyed themselves but if we return, we will definitely eat beforehand. read more

Had a great time at Dave & Buster's! Yesterday was military appreciation day, and I highly recommend going whenever they have those if you're military affiliated because all the "blue games" are free! We had so much fun playing games and eating our lunch. We had milkshakes which for the kids comes with a color changing straw, which was super cool. We also opted for the chocolate brownie tower with ice cream desert. The food was well prepared and my waitress was on it! I got the chicken quesadilla which came with salsa and sour cream for dipping. We also got the chicken tenders. Overall, we were quite pleased with our choices and the overall experience. To be honest, I was scared after reading reviews on Yelp! but we went anyway, prepare of what to expect.... I have never ever ever been to a D&B. Once you walk in, you forget what's outside and become a child again at Chuck E Cheese. (My childhood CEC had one wooden climb through gym and a ton of arcade games with that ski ball in the far back) Point is.... it's nice and cool, (inside from the heat!) bright, but LOUD and I was waiting for some giant mouse to greet us. Instead some sweet, polite young lady explained to us what we could do and where we could sit if interested since we announced it was our first time. We peeked around. You have a choice of sitting at the bar or around the bar at tables or booths. This is all open to also seeing the game area. There are also tables and booths in the quite 'restaurant type' area and I noticed two rooms off to the side for meetings or parties; Very Cool! We decided to sit in the quite area so we could still hear each other talk. Along the walls are TV's playing the music videos that are on surround sound. Like MTV again; back in the 80's. We all ordered then looked around the place. When you first look at the game area, it doesn't seem too large but when you actually walk into it, you might get lost for awhile. None of us played any games or looked at the prices. I did notice that you need a card to play the games? Maybe not. This place is NOT FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN. This is meant for older teens/adults. Don't even torture the little ones. Let dad take the younger ones to Chuck E Cheese or Peter Piper and mom can beat some arse on some Space Invaders with the teens. Then walked away from us at the game center when we wanted to buy game cards to play. The man avoids working and seems to only be physically present but not gainfully employed to ensure great experiences. After $90 in poor food for three entrees and three drinks and him walking away a second time, we left. My family was excited to be there tonight and Michael spoild it by avoiding the issue. We went for a team builder and had a good time. We were given a sheet to answer questions, and went to the games as a team to get answers. It was fun. I didn't try any of the food or drinks, so I can't really comment on that. There was a nice sports bar area with big TV's, the games were giant, it's not really my kind of place, so I don't think I would be back, but it was a choice as a team builder, and something different. Typical chain restaurant type of food, a little over priced for the quality of food. Wife's steak pieces were so chewy in her shrimp/steak linguine that she couldn't eat them, shrimp was ok. Manager took $5 off her $35 meal of just linguine no sides. I got the wings and rib combo meal with fries, it tasted pretty good but it would have been better with options for wing sauce. The 250 in chip play we bought went super fast, some of the games were charging 9-12 chips per play. Overall it is nice place to play and act like a kid again. Also, I was told it was Happy Hour ($1 off drafts) but when the bill came she apologized that she forgot weekends didn't have the $1 of Happy Hour. Seems the guest opinion survey was torn off both receipts...probably for good reason. All the terminals say "Remember to smile"...apparently they forgot. Disappointing from the moment we sat down. Now I'm not the typical person that says "I've ran a restaurant for years" or "I know what good service is", but this was pretty bad. Food was cold. Manager dropped half of it off without saying a word and kept walking. Fresh made guacamole tasted like it was fresh made two days ago. Asked for a side sauce. Never showed up. Watched it come out after we paid the bill. Everyone has bad days and we tip FAT no matter the case and we are super low maintenance. But this bartender seemed to be having a rough one. We weren't looking for a new best friend, but she was pretty rude and not personable. All in all, I'd give zero stars if it let me. The girl at the desk told me the card wouldn't work until I paid an activation fee. I ordered a hamburger it it was burnt. I come here all the time a regular customer. I love coming to drink and play the games. the atmosphere is fun and age appropriate for everyone. I am over the age and some of my friends aren't 21 yet so coming to Dave & Buster's lets us all get together. The food is never disappointing, and the drinks are always on point. The prizes aren't cheap and old, they do keep up to date. Preston (in prizes) and the manager cant remember her name she has awesome red hair. They are always very welcoming. Now... the reasons why I give it a 4**** and not a 5***** First, the bathrooms can be attended to more. We did play a few games first to kill some time, but my wife and I were really here to watch our team play football. They have a great way to organize the screens here, assigning numbers and games to a screen so you can choose your seating accordingly. Very cool. Baily brought us appetizers, beers, entrees, and finally a delicious dessert. Great service during the three hour course of the football game. The only buzz kill for me was the VR game directly across from our booth, that was filled with overly stimulated kids screaming with their goggles on. First off I've been to many D&B's all over the country and by far this was the worst. The Female Bathroom was disgusting and when my girlfriend informed management they said ok then did nothing about it. An hour later piss still on the floor and trash everywhere. Now the service, the restaurant is HORRIBLY MANAGED. We ordered one of their special drinks and my favorite, an Old Fashioned. They informed me that they have no bitters. . . No worries I'll have a Rum & Coke. 34 min latter still no Drink. Plenty of staff and yet it's a contest on how long tables can go without being bussed. Well this place wins. Coming from Oregon and the area that we would go to Dave & Buster's, the people here were a lot more informative and helpful and willing to make our birthday party what it should be. We had our fantasy football draft here last night & it was all good, for what we came for. The private room, the plentiful food & a continuous stream of beer made for a great event. Since we have been to the Tempe location but not here in Tucson, the wife decided to join me for a bit before the draft to check the place out & this is where we were disappointed. The Tempe location of D&B was an adult playground with a good mix of college kids & other 30-40 somethings mingling about. The Tucson location however was more akin to an overpriced Chuck E. Cheese with hundreds of kids running amok. I can't fault D&B for the kids but I can make a note not to return on a Saturday afternoon. What I can fault D&B for is their beer selection & their accompanying prices. The only local, craft beer was Barrio Blonde & that is boring. I opted for my hometown brewery Four Peaks but would have loved to see more variety, it felt as if I was in a Buffalo Wild Wings or Applebees as they were playing down to the lowest common denominator. All told, I still have money left on my game card but I think I'll just give it my 10-year-old nephew the next time he & my brother are in town. read more

The food was good. Four of us ordered steaks medium; one was medium, two were medium well on the well side, and one was medium rare. The burger was pronounced delicious! The wings get five stars. Chicken quesadilla was pretty good. The three girls all ordered chicken tenders and French fries. Sadly, the chicken tenders were only picked at, and none were eaten. I have been here a few times over the past few months. It's a pretty cool place to visit if you have a hankering to play games. If you haven't heard of this place, it is basically a combination of gaming hall and sports bar. While the games are plentiful, it's a little pricey for what you would normally get at most other places like it. The bar area has several large screen TV's, and they serve food and drinks, which are also very pricey for what you get. The service is spotty. The bartenders are great, but they are extremely understaffed, which makes for terrible service. On my second trip, I waited 20 minutes to get my credit card back, as the bartenders were flitting back and forth between other patrons. Still, it's a worthwhile place to visit on a weekend, if you can deal with the priciness and the uneven service. read more

Terrible experience! We spent my son's 12th birthday here and the service was awful. The manager, "Tim", was too busy to seat us when we arrived so after starting 10 minutes late, it took three servers to find the manager. I set my own table, the food took more than 50 minutes to arrive and the waitstaff rushed us out the door as soon as the minute turned at the end of our party. The server took our stuff off the table and involuntarily Moved it to another table against our will. Then, the manager argued with my wife in front of my son and all of our family. All in, we spent more than $500 here at the establishment and they practically threw us out in order to seat another party. I felt unvalued, underwhelmed and unappreciated as a customer. Overall, I like the concept of Dave & Buster's. I have had fun every time I've visited, but it costs you to play multiple games, and it's never a cheap outing. There is a good variety of games, but staff could be better at maintaining them and wiping them down. At least once each visit, I encounter a game where the card reader doesn't work. This last time, the four-person air hockey table wouldn't spit the puck back out after just one goal, and we needed to flag down a staff member for help, and they're impossible to find. The food leaves something to be desired. I've tried the Thai chicken salad, nachos, chicken tenders, and fries. Portions sizes are large, but I haven't been super impressed by anything. They should offer better happy hour specials on food. They do have decent happy hour specials on drinks. As far as booze goes, they have some decent beers on tap and some fun cocktails. If you enjoy imbibing while playing, you won't be disappointed, unless you're strictly a wine drinker. read more

Parking lot spaces seem a little tight so be mindful with large vehicles. First visit was a cool experience but will be our last. Nothing wrong with the concept of D&Bs. I really wondered what the original D&Bs in Dallas was like. If what we experienced in Tucson is a staple for all D&Bs then count us out. Too much going on, not sure how to explain but it might need to be toned down a notch. No old school games either. If there were this might draw in a more diverse game playing crowd but older games come with (at least my expectations) low playing prices like a quarter a game. So I can understand why there isn't any. I do believe this interior is designed to help lose track of time. Almost Las Vegas like. Neat place, maybe a once a year place for some folks. If you play games to win tickets be sure to keep track because the tickets are loaded onto the card. No issues with food. We decided to give the new Dave & Busters a try! We have been to several Dave & Busters around the country, so we were pretty familiar with them. This one is, of course, brand spankin' new! Since it is so new, we mentally prepared ourselves before going in - thinking the wait staff was probably not up to par yet. We were pleasently surprized! It took a while for him to get to us....but once he did, he was very attentive! We started with snowcones [yum!]. Those took a while, too.....looked like the bartenders were overwhelmed just then. The drinks were great! Highly recommended. We opted to just order a couple of appitizers. We chose the pull apart pizza (a recommendation of our waiter) and the spinach dip. Both were quite tasty....but the spinach dip was my favorite. It was piping hot and tasty with just the right amount of garlic. The chips that came with it were great. Crisp & salty. In addition it came with salsa. There were so many chips, we ate the salsa too! After eating, we went to play game of course! Fun! My only complaint is the loudness of the music. This Dave & Busters is brand new and it shows. It hasn't had it wear and tear from all the big kids just yet! This is like a Chuck E Cheese for adults, teenagers and kids. There's lots of fun arcade games and old style games. Lots of great drinks and yummy food! The only thing I did not enjoy was how loud it was in here.
