On my way there from Toronto, unfortunately my playing partner informed me she wasn't feeling well and needed to bail. Oh well, life happens, I was already on my way and figured I'd get my round in anyways as this place has been on my to play list for ages. When I got there, I informed them that my playing partner had to cancel because she got sick, and they said that unfortunately they were going to have to charge me anyways as that is their policy unless you cancel 24 hours before hand. We had only booked the night before, so about 12 hours before hand. I understand the policy, but I'm disappointed they didn't want to accommodate someone who drove over an hour and a half to come play. I left because I was just flabbergasted and never had this happen to me before in many decades of golfing. I decided to go to another course nearby in protest. I ended up getting billed on my credit card for two, even though I don't have my credit card "on file" with their online system, but have used it in the past. I've tried following up with both the golf course and the booking system and both have refused to budge. It's too bad, it looks like a decent course from the parking lot.

The first time we purchased a day pass and the kids stayed for almost 5 hours - without coming to shore once. I also participated and really enjoyed it too with a healthy fear of injuring myself - I served as a bowling pin to bendy kids slipping and sliding through the course :-). The second visit, only the 2h pass (peak hours) was available and the kids used every minute of it. We packed a lunch and drinks, blankets for lounging and chilled out for a good portion of the day while the kids enjoy the inflatable course. It's fun to watch them ! We've seen many bring small bbqs and make it a full day. There is a BBQ stand selling food by the change rooms if you'd rather take that route. Tip : If you purchase the Niagara Peninsula Conservation season pass (approx $130 which gives you access to other Niagara Parks) and can make good use out of it, it makes FunSplash more affordable in the long run. If you only plan on going to Binbrook once, park entry is $28 (carload) above the FunSplash access fee ($25 for 2 hours and $30 for all day pass).

I love handmade cards and prints and supporting local artists. The exhibitions are wide ranging in terms of genre I've seen photos, prints, sculpture, paintings in their gallery spaces by local and international artist. They have a new printmaking space in a separate building, and podcasting and digital art / film editing studios onsite. I took an intro to Adobe Illustrator class in the main building pre-pandemic and found it super helpful. I was so inspired afterwards I started digital animating in my spare time. There are so many wonderful local programs and opportunities to create and learn with artists in Centre 3's amazing facilitates and out in the community.

Every…read morething was eunique even having the items to tuch is always awesome, as many of the stuff are Brale, well most of them since it is across the street from Canada's only school for the Blind, Deffblind, and students with low vision, the W.ross macdonald school. It is a small art facility, easy to get around with a mobility cane, and is a charming destination on those cold and frigid days. I hope to come back soon as it was definetly awesome on days when I was in Hie school!

Hockey!! What's not…read moreto like. It's in the Stoney creek rec center, the building is by itself dedicated to filed hockey. Came to watch my nephews hockey games tonight. The whole family! About 15 of us. We had a good time cheering , yelling in Italians and so on :D All ages play here! The team we came for was 12-15 years old but the one after them was adult field hockey. Arena is clean, well kept and just what you'd expect from a hockey arena. Field hockey that is. Minus that ice cold ice arena field. Plenty of parking outside too. What's not to like!

This may not be a typical regular game experience as there were tons of volunteers working to direct the crowds and there is even a water filling station so one can bring in their empty bottles for refilling instead of paying $3 for a bottle of water. I like how every seats has a good view of the field as the stadium is not huge. The seats are wide and comfy and has legroom! Much better configuration than Roger Centre. I could not comment on the quality of the food and drinks but I think it is premium pricing for fast food. And I would not be paying $9.50 for a tallboy of Canadian or Coors Light. Definitely recommend to get tickets from the West Stand. We were in the full sun for a whole football game till 8:00 pm in July since our tickets were in the East Stand. Bring suntan lotion and a hat!! Tim Horton's Field seems to be a nice venue and I would come back for other games!
