    I went on here looking for help because I work full-time and run an Airbnb…read more I'm good with house upkeep, but the lawn seems to always be a bit of a problem with me, so I came for estimates. DLC responded quickly with an estimate, and after asking friends about it I was told it was a good deal. So I responded that I would like to use their service and an email was sent with a link to pay, which made it a breeze, and set up a weekly appointment during this rainy month of May. They came the same day I paid, and did a terrific job considering what I'd tried to do (it was bad) and the lawn looks great. I will put up pictures when the lawn looks a little better, because I'd tried to use an electric mower that wouldn't adjust properly so some spots are awful. Anyway, great job, guys! Seriously, I appreciate your hard work.

I didn't even think it possible to have a better experience than my last experience, but I did. I contacted DLC's through YELP and their response was instantaneous, professional, accommodating and polite. They got my elderly aunt's snow removal scheduled right away, which made it possible for her to get to the doctor. It's not often that you find business owners who are willing go over and above the call of duty time and time again. At DLC's they ensure exemplary customer service. It's so refreshing to know that there are still folks out there who really care. Give them your business and you will be greatly pleased.

    I sent Lawnade a video (per their request) to get a quote on yard cleanup. The quoted me $410 + 100…read moredump fee. I gave the go ahead on April 10th and gave them a $153 deposit. They said they'd be out the week of April 23/24th. On April 23rd they updated that to April 25th. On April 25th they offered me a 5% discount and a new date of May 1st. I said ok. On May 1st I called to confirm only to be told - the new date was going to be May 8th!!!!! Their excuses were 1) they overbooked 2) the weather 3) short staffed. I told them their poor planning wasn't my problem and to just cancel and refund my deposit. Sadly now I'm 3-4 weeks behind on cleaning up my garden and all my plants are blooming and my grasses haven't been cut down. And I either have to do it myself now or try to find someone else. Shame on them for continuing to accept work when they didn't have the capacity to perform the tasks. Finally - their website is not accurate (I hate to say they're lying - but....), they list all they places that have given them 5 star reviews, including Yelp and google. Yelp only has 1 review and it is 1 star, and I can't find any Google reviews at all. So completely fictitious.

    I reached out to Lawnade for quotes on aeration, overseeding, and dethatching for my approximate…read more5000 sq. ft. yard in Rochester Hills. I received a quote for all three services. The estimation was provided online. Each service had a toggle in front of it. While working on the online estimate, I was also in direct contact with Lawnade sales staff over text messages. I advised that I wanted to dethatch spring of 2026, and that I would be looking for aeration and overseeding in the fall, which is the best time in Michigan. I was told to only select the dethatching, accept the estimate online, and enter my credit card info. I did so. I then responded to the other companies I had requested estimates for letting them know that I would not be requiring their services. Two days later, I received an email that my estimate had been updated. I viewed it online. The price increased to 175% of the original amount. No contact, no reasoning, just another estimate in my inbox invalidating what I had already confirmed. When I reached out via text to see why, I was told that the sales team made a mistake. The original quote was for combined services, and that they couldn't take a loss on the work. Okay. I stated that I had already accepted the estimate, and entered my card for payment. I had already cancelled my other options. A day later, I received another text that they could accept 150% of the original quote at the bare minimum. I asked them to send an updated quote. "... you have every right to be frustrated. My team dropped the ball by telling you to just accept that one line without explaining that our $XXX rate is strictly for bundled, local services. That's on us. Because your property is outside our main service area, sending a crew out for just the dethatching costs us more in overhead and travel than the $XXX covers. I can't run a job at a loss, so $XXX is the absolute minimum we can do it for as a standalone trip. I know this puts you in a tough spot, and I completely understand if you need to go with another provider. Let me know if you'd like me to close out the estimate or keep you on the schedule for the $XXX." No update for a day, so I told them to please honor the 150% amount they stated in the text. I recieved the following response, which simply floored me: "Hello, if you want we can price it even higher we already gave you a deal, it's our busy season so we need to price accordingly. I updated it to $XXX." This was double the original estimated amount. Not only did they renege for a second time, but they had the audacity to make it my problem, again, instead of honoring the correction they committed to. This company acts like this: when they are busy and raking in money, they could careless about doing right by their [new] customers. In fact, they'll take the time to actually make it even more painful for them (by moving the 175% estimate to 200% instead of down to 150%). This is not how you run a business and treat customers; new or existing. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had getting estimates on work for my property. If I was you, I would stay clear of these folks. This behavior is indicative of what else customers can expect from this company.

Tim helped me with various design options and offered plant and design recommendations without ever being pushy. He is all about customizing your spaces based off sunlight, wind, etc to make your plants thrive and last forever. Steve is very reliable, professional, helpful, and his prices are extremely fair for the very high quality of work he delivers. He provides excellent communication and honesty throughout the entire consultation and planting process. We managed the entire design process through text messages, pictures and drawings which was extremely convenient for a working professional. I could not recommend Steve enough for your landscaping, snow removal, fall cleanup, or other yard cleanup projects. If I could give him 6 stars, I would!

It is actually astonishing. That's a side note. The real news here is the professionalism of Timberline Landscaping and their quick, complete response and quote. From initially contacting Steve and his team, they immediately wrote me back, were able to provide a price quote via email with pictures we sent and then came out for an on-site visit to confirm everything and make sure that we were 100% clear on expectations, timing and the suggestions that they made for our backyard. The workmanship was done exactly as agreed to and in a professional way. They left our backyard looking exactly as we'd hoped and cleaned up and left our home and surroundings in great condition. As another reviewer alluded to, small things come up. Changes, clarifications, to a job when you're in the middle of it. Steve and his team were quick to react, communicated very well, and never asked for more money. We couldn't be happier with our decision to work with Timberline. There are tons of landscaping companies out there. Very few, if any, have the professionalism and quality of response, fair price, and great communication than Timberline. Thanks to the Timberline team for everything!
