We used Davenport Energy as they were recommended by Bob Garrett when they installed our generator We had our one year free maintenance done and the technician said we had 36 hours on the generator but our propane was at 35%...almost impossible since it is a 250 gallon tank...We called Davenport and they sent a technician out at 6:30 at night when it was dark and he did a quick test and said that there was NO LEAK. Fast forward 4 weeks and we filled the tank back up with Davenport for $729.00 worth of propane. That was on 12/22/ 25 and we paid that bill in full on 12/24/25. We checked our tank this past Saturday and it was down to 35% again. This time after O hours on the generator. This tank is only for the generator. We called Davenport again and this time they sent out a technician that had some sense. Long story short there WAS A LEAK AND THEY WERE THE INSTALLERS so this leak was all on them. The fixed the leak. I called to tell them that there absolutely was a leak and the first technician didn't find it so now i am out 2 tanks of propane. I would appreciate if they would come out now and fill it for me again at no charge. The lady that answers their calls starts arguing with me that if there was a leak the generator wouldn't work right and that we COULDN"T HAVE LOST THAT MUCH PROPANE. I asked to speak to a manager and am waiting for that call. This company did the installation and if there was a leak its all on them. If this is how they solve a customer problem that THEY CREATED I do not recommend them to anyone . I will wait for their manager to call but the bottom line is that this company is lacking in customer service. read more

Oh, they have BIG issues. I have been trying to get them to deliver propane to me for the last two weeks and everytime I call them back to see what has happened they keep giving me excuses and they need to speak with delivery Supervisor. They keep saying they will be there tomorrow. Good grief the tempature has been down in the teens. With no compasion on whether my home and family is safe and warm. read more

Big surprise this afternoon at about 4:45 pm when i decided to check out the bird nest in our Davenport propane tank. And, what a big surprise cause the other day it only had one bird egg and today it had four eggs in the nest. Would love to see the momma but convinced by the shape, place and size and color of the eggs that we have it's a Carolina Wren back again this year as one has been making a nest inside the tank cover top for the last couple of years. Not going to raise the top again this year till I hear some babies peeping inside the nest. Apparently nothing better for a safe nest from predators than a Davenport propane tank top with a cover. Will be glad to send you photos if you'll give me an address to forward them to someone at the company. Did this once a year or more ago when there were some babies born inside the nest. last year we didn't have any eggs that hatched.''
