    DAVE'S #3: 1 TENDER & 1 SLIDER (hot) W/ FRIES for $13.49
    Bay S.

I visited Dave's Hot Chicken in Buford GA for the first time today and I'm not really sure what to think of it. I ordered the DAVE'S #3: 1 TENDER & 1 SLIDER (hot) W/ FRIES for $13.49 and the Mac n cheese for $3.79. It was too spicy, but I'm not complaining about that. I actually appreciate the heat. What bothered me was the thick fatty pieces in the chicken. I threw most of the chicken away. The fries were okay. The mac and cheese wasn't all that good. I placed my order on the app and requested extra napkins and plasticware, but I wasn't given any napkins or plasticware. I was planning to eat in my car, as I drove nearly 50mins to get there. The sauce that the meal comes with is really tasty. I wish I had known that I would need more. You should be given one sauce per chicken tender, but my meal only came with one small sauce. The kale slaw was really good and definitely helped with yer heat.

My family ordered from this establishment that opened three months ago. We wanted to see what all the hype was about. This chicken is abnormally seasoned to perfection and you do not have to add any. It comes in several levels of hotness to it. Their customer service is great and willing to assist you in ordering. The dining space is small inside; however the since outside seating patio area. We will be coming back. We ordered 2 - piece Chicken slider Mild with Mac n cheese and 1 - piece slider Medium with fries.

Brought my younger brother here for lunch! This was my first time trying Dave's and it's not like the other chicken tender spots popping up. Parking: ample parking across the whole plaza. DOES NOT HAVE A DRIVE THRU which is what I took a star off for. Service: they're pretty quick about getting people through the line. Food does take a little bit to come out, but that's because it's made fresh. It's hot and super fresh once you get it. They have indoor and outdoor dining to choose from. Food: I got the loaded fries (chicken medium) and a chicken tender (chicken hot). Hot definitely means hot at Dave's, it is a heat that sneaks up on you lol. All in all, everything had a good taste. A little pricier than some fast food, but I think you get the quality that comes with the premium.

#3 Combo is one finger and one slider. Delicious!

Really liked the food my first stop in at Dave's. It does take a little while for it to come, but it's worth the wait. The interior is small so I think the move here is to order ahead and pick up to take it to go. Their combos are unique and consist of fingers and sliders. I got the #3 which was a finger and one slider. I got mild heat and it was all delicious when it finally came out. I think next time I will try medium heat, as the mild wasn't spicy at all.

This is more of a fast food restaurant than a table side restaurant. They offer indoor and outdoor seating but when we went the outdoor seating area was closed. Seating area is limited since it's pretty small. We ordered to go, and it did take a little longer since we ordered around 7 meals from the menu. The cashier was really friendly and was there to help with any questions. The bathroom's were not the greatest (cleanliness).

This was my first time coming to Dave's and it didn't disappoint!! The loaded fries were fire!! I got a medium spice level, but I was I got it spicier! There were a lot of ppl, but we received our food fast and it was hot and tasty. I loved sitting in the rain under the covered patio and everyone was extremely nice!

    #Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries reaper
    Sarah T.

I ordered the #2 two sliders and fries in reaper. I noted the slaw was kale instead of the typical coleslaw. The food was pretty dang good. They gave me a pretty big piece of chicken, plenty of pickles and very little slaw. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and good amount of heat. I won't comment on the slaw as there wasn't much. The pickles were mild and not too sour. The fries were crispy and lightly seasoned. The Dave's sauce complements the sandwich and fries. Service was extremely slow and the female cashier seemed to not care/hated her job? It was super busy the line was coming out the door and there were so many people waiting for their food. One dude I talked to said he had been waiting over 25 mins for his food (JUST for his food on top of however long he waited to order). This is a casual food spot with some seating on the inside. It can get extremely crowded. You do have to ask for napkin and extra stuff which can add to why everything takes so long.

I really wanted to love Dave's Hot Chicken in Buford, but I left feeling a bit underwhelmed and confused about what the restaurant is trying to be. The whole concept feels a little misunderstood -- like it can't decide whether it wants to be a quick bite, a specialty hotspot, or just a place to melt your taste buds for sport. The seasoning was intense, and not in the "wow, this is flavorful!" way -- more in the "my tongue needs counseling" way. A little heat is great, but this was way too heavy-handed for my enjoyment. And for what you get, it's definitely overpriced. I'm all for paying a premium for great chicken, but the value just didn't match the hype or the menu cost. Overall, not a terrible experience -- just not one that lived up to expectations. If you're curious, maybe give it a try... but bring your wallet and your tolerance for spice.

Tried Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time. I think I'm good with Medium. The Macaroni and Cheese was the stuff you get in buckets. Doesn't taste homemade. Similar to KFC but with seasoning in it and the noodles being a little more aldente. The chicken strips are tasty on their own. The powdered hot is a dry seasoning. I was expecting a more wet. Probably taste a lot better if you add honey. The seasoning has sugar in it, you can taste it behind the paprika and chili powder. The Dave's Sauce is more similar to a burger sauce than that of a Zax Sauce. Service was as fast as can be considering its grand opening. The people were nice and attentive. The young lady at the door was also nice and informative. Location has a lot of graffiti style art. Very fun.

Pretty good. I ordered the medium hot chicken slider and it wasn't spicy. The chicken has a nice crunch to it. I probably should have ordered a side of the David's sauce or ask for extra sauce because my sandwich was a bit dry.

Daves Dave's X Fallout Saucy Survival Kit

I just got the Dave's X Fallout Survival Pack with the buffalo sauce, and it was super disappointing. My chicken was sad and soggy, and I didn't even get my Stimpack. There was no special packaging for the meal, and the second order of "Dave's Hot Honey" was literally just microwaved, lukewarm honey. The only thing it had going for it was that it was crispy--unlike my buffalo chicken.

I gave my honest opinion: Positive: -Beautiful interior with a lot of space for diners -Delicious foods with big proportions -Plenty of parking in a lit plaza Negative: -VERY slow service -Not greeted -No smile -Not very friendly Restaurant opens at 11:30 AM. I got there at 1 PM with my Aunt and there was nobody there. I went to the other side of the restaurant lingering and wondering if we should just go find our seat or stand there. There was another couple that was seated already. A server finally came out to deliver foods, don't even acknowledge us, and after putting her foods down, walked away. I had to stop her and asked if we seat ourselves. No hello, welcome, or anything. She didn't smile and only gestured something and walked away. We were confused and walked back to the other side where a man was at the register finally. We asked him the same thing and he went to go get the server lady. She finally took us to our booth. Again, didn't ask us if it's our first time, if we had any questions, nothing. The didn't let the lack of enthusiasm deter my mood because I am there to try out the foods. It took forever for the server to come back to get our order. Foods did arrived in a reasonable amount of time, big proportions, and everything tasted as good as it looks. Took us 2 hours from beginning to end dining there even though there were only 3 couples eating there, including us, during lunch on a Wednesday. That's how slow service was. I can't even imagine how it'll be during a big crowd on weekend nights. The prices were on the same level as Delbar and Rumi's. However, the other restaurants has top notch service. The service here acts as if we're doing them a favor by paying them for the foods. I will probably not come here again even though it's close to my area. If it still stands by next year, I will probably give them another chance.
