Girl asked if he was sure about that as a first timer and he said yes. It was Hot but not unbearable. There was different "combos" with fries that I thought were fairly priced until I learned that does not include a drink. We spent $28 for lunch for two. Food arrived very quick. Maybe 6 mins? which worries me how much is pre-cooked. The chicken and the flavor was just okay. Nothing special. And their sauce was mayo with a little buffalo sauce that was so underwhelming. At least Raising Cains has a unique flavor. Food was a 3. I ding a star because BOTH of our orders was wrong! I asked for no slaw and I got slaw. Hubs added french fries. No fries. On our way to the gym tonight, we passed Dave's Hot Chicken. These guys are a month new on Fairway Drive in Roseville, so after we burned some calories, we came here for dinner. We pulled into the shopping center with plenty of parking... at least at 10pm, there is plenty of parking. We liked that DHC is open until midnight. That makes good competition for In n Out, lol... when we walked in, we walked up to the kiosk to order our food. They had chicken tender and chicken sandwich options. Sliders, shakes, fries, Mac & cheese, and 7 different levels of heat for their chicken, from no spice up to the reaper level (2 million scoville!!!)! We both ordered the 2 tender combo with fries. It comes with pickles, bread, and a dipping sauce. I started out easy with the mild flavor. My other have got hot. We sat at a table while we waited for our food to be ready. The seating area is huge with bright vibrant colors on the walls. We both got waters and an employee, Jose, cleaned the table for us. He asked if we'd ever been here before. Since we hadn't, he told us he was sure we were going to like it. Our name was called and we walked to the front to get our food. The girl at the counter got us loaded up with sauces like ketchup, Dave's sauce, and honey. First bite was so delicious. The chicken tenders were huge. It was crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside. I definitely could've handled hotter. When Jose came back to check on us, I told him the chicken was great, but the fries were not hot so they weren't good. He offered to bring us fresh hot fries. Those hot fries were so much better! I have been dying to try Dave's Hot Chicken since I saw the line out the door at their new Reno location. Finally got the chance today while in Roseville. Nice new location. There was a decent crowd already dining, as well as a decent line waiting to order. They also have 2 kiosk you can order at. We waited about 15 minutes for our order. Nice and hot! I got the #3 and went with extra hot slider and hot tender. Extra hot was so damn good, but after my first sip of soda, the heat got hotter! I was stuffed after the slider so took the tender home. Hours later it was still pretty crunchy and delicious. We also order #2 tenders as mild and they had great flavor without a kick. Perfect for kids or those who don't like spicy foods. The kale slaw in the sliders is a nice touch. They also give extra pickles on the side. They definitely came in handy. Now that Mac n Cheese.... In the words of my teen, was mid. We went on a rainy Monday around 8pm. It was a ghost town inside although a worker said they are usually slammed on certain days. They close at midnight most week nights and 2am during the weekends. The place was clean and a relaxing place to chill with 60's and 70's music playing. I've never been to any chicken place other than Chik-fil-A because I was under the impression that these places were expensive and lack flavor. I ordered the chicken sandwich, tender and fry combo. The other was a Buffalo chicken mac'n cheese large plate. They were both large enough to share among three people. We ordered the mild and there wasn't any heat but the chicken was very moist and the coating had the right crunch. The employees there were really helpful because it was my first time there. I can see where orders can take a while if that place was super busy. They cook your food to order, so everything is freshly made. I was so excited to try the new Dave's Hot Chicken, I've tried to visit another location but the line has always been out the door so we went other places. Finally got to try it here and the food did not disappoint. I will say it took a long time to get our food at least from what I was expecting it didn't look too busy. The line wasn't long and just a handful of people dining in so I thought it would be quicker. So have to give it three stars based on how long it took to get our food. We ordered the slider combo that comes with two sliders and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the slider, we could have easily shared. We also tried the loaded fries that had chicken pieces on top, those were great too. I love their pickles. We ordered the Medium heat, it had a nice kick but not too hot I think I will try the next heat level up next time. The fries were good and we were happy with how our food tasted.
