I decided to go to Dr. Cappa after reading positive patient reviews posted on doctor ratings sites. FIRST: He has a wonderful, gentle bedside manner. Sensing my anxiety (I was anticipating the procedure to be uncomfortable), he immediately put me at ease. SECOND: He did what needed to be done swiftly and with such skill that I didn't feel a thing! THIRD: Great staff. They were tightly booked when I called for an appointment. But understanding that I was in pain, they squeezed me into his schedule. FOURTH: The office is in a nice, stand alone house. It is NOT one of those mega-medical group with hundreds of doctors and staff. I like the personalized feeling of this doctor. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the orthotics for my left foot. I received the initial pair in August 2014, and had to come back to Dr. Peters roughly five or six times over the subsequent nine months. I certainly wished the troubles I had were not so time-consuming, but what was appreciated was that despite this, Dr. Peters spent the extra time and worked on adjustments to ensure I was comfortable. Further, he agreed not to charge me any co-pays, and as the calendar year changed (and my insurance deductible kicked in), Dr. Peters agreed not to charge me at all for the final few appointments. He was committed to making sure the orthotics worked for me, even without earning additional fees for the added services. I am appreciative of the high level of care Dr. Peters continues to provide even though, at this point, the economics for him and his office are unfavorable. The extra care goes a long way, and I am happy to share this experience with the community since I know we often complain about patient care elsewhere.
