I sadly had three other attorneys before him through the divorce and for this case and appeals, it was such a struggle. In this case the fourth time was a charm! Stephen is absolutely amazing! As the cases went along I was more and more impressed by his shining knowledge of the law. He knew exactly what to present for each component of the case. He was brilliant in the courtroom, very professional, very polite, and kept his composure even through the rudeness and attack of the opposing lawyer. His integrity is very obvious, he would say, let's take the high road. And he did. As we moved along through the case and Appeals my trust in him grew to 100%! After having other lawyers that I did not feel confident in, it was such a relief to know that he was an excellent litigator! Matt Nolan is recorded in Butler County to handle a lien on my property and he has been an immature nightmare to work with. I reached out to Matt Nolan and later an attorney out of Hamilton Ohio as directed in the recorded lien per Butler County to provide a payoff letter and he gave the attorney a mechanics lien payoff letter instead of a mortgage payoff letter. First he claims he will not provide a payoff letter even though the attorney confirmed with him that he is responsible to do so and he followed up by providing the wrong type of payoff. What a joke ! I am convinced he either operates from malice to delay resolution or genuinely has no idea what he is doing when it comes to real estate law. Yet he is supposed to be the auditor and attorney for the community. When the attorney reached back out to him to send the right payoff and to correct his mechanic lien error and provide the right payoff as a mortgage payoff he is now unresponsive. This is not even a mechanics lien it's a mortgage lien on my property.. Furthermore, the information provided by Matt Nolan is all incorrect based on Ohio guidelines of mortgage payoff requests. Not only did he exceed the turnaround time to be in compliance with the law to give the payoff but he also does not know how to accurately type one up based on what he provided to the attorney. Maybe this is small town shenanigans because this incompetence will never fly in Atlanta , Georgia where I live. Based on some of the reviews there seems to be a trend where they make up their own rules as they go and protect each other with their rudeness to justify making up their own laws. Steer clear if you can. They have no idea of how to follow consumer protection guidelines or any laws for that matter when it comes to resolving real estate liens.

He was out sick that day but still called me, so I thought I found the one! Wow, I couldn't have done worse! One of the absolutely rudest people I have ever encountered. First, the attorney is about 90 years old and he forgets what he tells you, oh he will tell you I've been doing this for 30 years, trust me. Maybe it's time to retire? Second, he can't remember what he has and hasn't done. I submitted all my required paperwork. I did have a lot of questions and all he kept telling me is not to be this kind and to trust him. After my case was completed, he told me I complained too much and if I have an issue to come to his offices and handle it like a man. Dean I am not one of your female clients that you can intimidate. During my time I have since learned that Dean Hines used his position of power to initiate and pursue an intimate relationship with a vulnerable client who was afraid to resist in early 2009. Women beware! Research this Disciplinary Counsel v. Hines. Remember when you lost your license for 6 months for this? I really let this man represent me? Of course, everyone makes mistakes but really, come on that is one of the first things you were taught in the 1940's! His wife (his paralegal) had no problems at all with her, maybe it's because she's not 90 years old! (Maybe she was an old client as well?) If you want to be treated like a child, then I surely recommend him as he would be a great great grandpa to someone. About the only thing that came fast was the bill. They surely make sure you get that! If you want an ambulance chaser with a law degree or someone that acts inappropriate with the females, go to Dean Hines! You want someone that listens while you go through one of the hardest things you have ever done try elsewhere. In fact, if it comes down to representing yourself or picking this guy, represent yourself! Believe me, you're better off. Again ladies beware!
