I tried to contact this company to make an offer on a new listing they would provide no information and gave me the number to the listing agent, Jim Litton, I called and left a message and recieved no call back, the following day the property was under contract. How can he be looking out for the interest of his client ( the seller ) if he doesn't even call people interested in the property. I recently sold 2 apts in Bradenton via adam Cuffalo at Michael Saunders. As I was overseas at the time I needed someone to take total control of the process and Adam stepped up and sold both within 2 months. We had some issues regarding title for the whole building and Adam navigated what needed to be done and lined up who was needed to complete. I had a feeling the terrible experience I had would be similar to others. Peggy W. is an absolute terrible listener, rude and non-responsive. Peggy blamed her partner for poor communication when listings didn't match our criteria (which I felt like was an excuse at the time), not to mention she took no responsibility that she possibly didn't hear her partner communicate whst we were looking to buy. Peggy again sent listings that did not come close to what we specifically discussed, was snarky and rude when I shared my needs and then never responded when more listings were sent that were totally useless. very disappointing. moved from out of town. paid Diana Napoliello realtor fees to be my eyes and ears. I even found the neighborhood. She did the bare minimum. Didn't even walk the outside of the property, didn't make sure the junk was removed. she didn't have my back and i truly believe that is what a realtor is for. I've just had an extremely disappointing experience with Holly Sylvester, a rental agent with Michael Saunders. I responded to a Zillow listing for a unit at 100 Central. My husband & I viewed the unit and said we would take it. We met all requirements including providing tax returns, etc. We agreed to meet all terms, although the landlord raised the rent after we agreed to the terms. Based on Holly's report that our terms had been accepted, we turned in our resignation from our current apartment. She never returned our calls, She then reported that the landlord had changed his terms once again and we couldn't get the rental. She answered the phone unprofessionally and demanded to know what the call was in reference to. I asked if I was speaking to Real Estate Agent Linda Dickson and she refused to answer and once again demanded to know what the call was in reference to. I told her she needed to be more professional if she wanted me to speak to her about one of her listings and she hung up on me. Linda works for Michael Saunders & Company and I called their office to express my disappointment with their listing agent. My mother and I rented a house on Longboat Key in February with this company. We had SO many problems with the house, but the worst was that the stove stopped working completely for the last 9 days/10 nights. We had to go out to eat almost all our meals, threw away food we couldn't cook, etc. The ice maker was broken the entire month and the owner refused to fix it. Things were falling apart right and left. Shortly after we arrived, Michael Saunders moved the management of the property to Gulf Coast. Even though we had a signed rental agreement with Michael Saunders, they refused to take any responsibility for helping us get a partial refund we were entitled to. Gulf Coast says they couldn't get the owner to honor the rental agreement either. This is unacceptable! I don't know who made a commission off the rental (or off the subsequent sale of this property in May for over a million dollars), but this is not how clients should be treated by the Michael Saunders agency. read more

We cannot say enough good things about Kevin Mackin in the Englewood MichaelSaunders office. He knows more about the Palm Island/Don Pedro Island market than anyone, and his clients get hands on excellent treatment in buying or selling. How do we know? He was our agent when we bought our Palm Island home, he guided us and answered our questions and made recommendations and referrals for service and construction before closing and for the entire time we owned the home. When we had to reluctantly leave and move away closer to family, Kevin found a buyer BEFORE the place was even listed on MLS. He is a hero, a friend, and a great person to do business with. My wife and I have bought and sold many homes and I was a lawyer and a judge who knew many real estate people professionally, and Kevin Mackin is at the top of his profession in skill and ethics. read more

Actually minus a star. I had good results with the agents but the Company's return policy of a security is 60 days. That is outrageous!!!!! I paid my deposits on time and they have help my money. Taking their time returning a $500 deposit and earning interest on it no matter how low the interest is, is despicable. We had have had two experiences with Michael Saunders sales; one very bad, one good.. We bought our home from an owner/agent who was from M.S.. Our agent was, also, with M.S.. The owner/agent committed fraud against us. There were many, many problems with the house. These were revealed in the inspection, and the owner/agent promised to repair them all before the closing. She brought estimates to the closing,. She brought no work orders or cancelled checks, but she assured us that all the repairs had been completed. Our agent urged us to believe her, and the closing went through. After the sale, several problems with the house remained (a leaky pool, a leaky roof, dangerously-malfunctioning garage door, inoperable ice machine behind the bar, wet insulation in the ceilings and the walls...) and our agent did nothing to help us in any way. We sued the owner/agent and prevailed in arbitration. But we were awarded only a fraction of the almost-$100,000 we had paid to make all the needed repairs. Our agent was Diane Hart. I do not believe that she was complicit in the fraud, but she did nothing to help us after the lying was apparent. I believe Ms Hart is still with Michael Saunders. The owner/agent for the property was named Judy Shoemaker. I believe she is no longer with Michael Saunders. When we sold our Country Club of Sarasota home eight years later, we used Denise Mattmuller, also a Michael Saunders agent. Denise did a wonderful job. She quickly got the house on the internet, and hosted an open house. Our home sold within two weeks for asking price. So, it matters more who your agent is, than what company they work for. I do not know that any management at Michael Sunders knew about our issues, so I cannot fault them for not helping us. read more

They guy who helped us find our home works for Saunders, he's wonderful, we LOVE him. BUT the woman who sold the house to us from prior owners also works for Saunders. Her name is Judy Browning. This woman is unscrupulous. We could NOT believe she had the former owner of our home get freon pumped into our air conditioning system just so it would work until we signed. We know this because the service company who did that for her and the former owner told us they did it, AND Browning said at the closing, "The air conditioner only has to work until the home warranty kicks in". That is not second hand, my husband and I were looking at her when she said that. We would have liked to sue them, because the a/c had to be replaced the day we moved in for 8K (PS. our home warranty would have only covered $1,800, but what Browning was suggesting to us was insurance fraud). It is a couple years later and we still are angry about her casually illegal attitude. Other things happened (the former owner sold us the house with everything included. After we won the bid, she came back and took a LOT of items out of the house that were there when we put in our bid, and were TOLD were part of the deal!). Browning knowingly does things that are not legal, yet her name is plastered all over our neighborhood. Too bad. If you're buying a house from her, you have been warned. read more

He raised his voice to me when I explained that a particular day was not available for the home to be viewed. He told me outright that I was not allowed to refuse showings & that he doesn't have to give me notice prior to a showing.
