I left with the understanding that the clinic would be reaching out to St. Michael's for a date to preform the surgery. I finally called the clinic back on Jan 12, 2026 since I had not heard back from them. I was told that the St Michael's anesthesiologist had stated "due to my past history and current health issues" I was unable to go under anesthesia. You can only image how upset I was; since I know of no reason I'm unable to go under anesthesia. So, I made an appointment the next day with my referring doctor. When I got to that appointment, she showed me the report she received from Dr Sherris, dated Dec 19th, that clearly shows it was his decision, not St. Michael's. I made another appointment with him on Jan 28th. The appointment was at 2:15. I didn't see him until almost three. I confronted him about not informing me he had changed his mind and did not have the curtesy to call me and inform me. He said he thought the referring physician would tell me. Now, since he told me one thing and her another thing; how would she know he changed his mind; and why would it be her responsibility to inform me of anything? Then, when I told him his staff had lied to me about the anesthesiologist at St Michael's; he proceeded to tell me "I'm sure they just misinterpreted what I wrote". I had actually called twice that day. The second time they stated emphatically that it was St Michael's that had made the decision. Then, Dr. Sherris stated that in order for him to do my surgery; I'd need a report from my primary physician that I'm healthy enough to have the surgery. His concerns, according to what he told me are: I have a fatty liver and Lupus. Since I've had those for years and have had much more detailed and longer surgeries in the past two years--I find this total BS. I'm requesting a referral to a different podiatrist.

However if you want to get over it quickly Dr Sherris is the one you wants to do your shots for you. He is very skilled with the needle and is fast. Not something you want to do everyday, but you'll be glad you did. He will also give you a boot to sleep in, which helps also. The young gentleman receptionist is top notch and very helpful, as is his assistant. Thank you again!

He was unable to diagnose the problem and as a result ordered me custom orthotics which took a month to come. In that time, without a remedy for my foot, I lost stability in my back and had an acute injury. Then when the orthotics came, I followed the instructions from the doctor's office but after a short 3 mile walk, my left foot started killing me. It has been 3 weeks since i've been able to walk. I went back to see Dr Sherris for my left foot pain to which he recommended I start wearing the orthotics again ten days after seeing him. It has been 14 days, and if I had started wearing the orthotics again I no doubt would've re-inflamed my foot injury, considering I still cannot walk much on it. I was counting on Dr Sherris' practice to help me find proper footware and diagnose my foot problems, and unfortunately, after 3 visits to the practice my feet are in worse shape, 3 months later. I would've appreciated more care from the practitioner and appointments where it didn't feel like my pain and circumstance were brushed off. I can confidently say that I am extremely dissapointed in the care I received from this practice.

I told him I couldn't wear a boot at the moment because I am finishing a large construction project. Obviously, he didn't encourage that, but gave me some good tips and what to look out for, signs that a rupture is imminent or likely. You can just tell the guy is a really good dude and extremely smart. As soon as the project is done I will be back to get my boot.

I went there following knee replacement surgery for a couple months. They constantly had issues…read morewith insurance processing because all staff seemed to have different insurance certificates. They gave me different therapists almost every time I went there. During each visit there my therapist would also be attending to multiple other clients. There is no patient client dedication, which I feel would be important for recovery. Sometimes they would assign a trainee or assistant as a sole caregiver. I felt they were neglectful in their duties and stopped going there. They had been charging me a standard co-pay at each visit without properly billing my insurance. After I stopped going there several months later, I saw they eventually got it figured out how to bill insurance properly. On my insurance statement I saw that in addition to a charge for my standard visit they were billing for other miscellaneous fees which physical therapy doesn't normally charge. I am very disappointed with highline and I do not recommend them.

But when I originally got injured, I went to physical therapy and had a great experience with a gentleman named James Aiken who fixed me up the best he could and I was on my way. Over the years, I've relied on him when my back was getting worse again from stress or a tweak. It probably didn't help that I didn't do the stretches or workouts at home that he recommended Fast forward to today, he recently opened his own clinic and it is one of the nicest I've seen! It felt great to get adjusted and worked on again. And on the way out, they gave me a Gatorade and granola bar. Healing my back and my stomach! I don't recommend you get injured, but if you do, this is the place to go for recovery. Maybe this time, I will listen and do my at home workouts... probably not though.
