I had heard many good things about Dr Dixon from my sister and my son. so I booked an appointment for 7:40am, my thinking is,there's no way he could be behind schedule. well I showed up 5 mins early,because you know that there will be forms to fill out. so at 7:42 I'm showed to the exam room and I wait. at 8am I go and double check that my appointment was at 7:40 am and it was. Dixon comes out of another exam room and apologized and said he would be there ASAP. well at that point I'm already frustrated that at 7:40 am he's already behind schedule. well I just left, if doctors want 24 hour notice of a cancellation, then why can't they show up for work on time. not impressed,so if your time is important to you,then I wouldnt go and see Dr Dixon he's not very professional when it comes to respecting his patients time. read more

30 minutes after my appointment time I enquired as to when I would see Dr Dixon. I was advised that there were 3 people ahead of me, each person could take between 5 - 30 minutes. This delay is obviously unacceptable and I left without seeing Dr Dixon. For someone to manage his time so unprofessionally is an insult and disrespectful to his patients. Dr Dixon always sorts out my toe nails which have got a little hard as I've got older and are prone to getting sore around the big toes. Just popped in prior to a holiday and can report very happy toes now. He always does the trick! Good prices and very nice man also. Highly recommend. Only Cash !!!!!! At the first visit, an MRI was ordered. This was done after six months and the result was announced to Dr. Dixon and my doctor's family. Despite the doctor's family contact, there was no news of Dr. Dixon until I called his office myself. I had a second visit this evening. Unbelievably, his secretary refused to accept the credit card and insisted on receiving cash. He told me explicitly that if you do not have cash, you will not be visited. Dr. D is an outstanding doctor. Fantastic personality, great humour, and the end result is an orthotic that works as well as possible. While having your feet examined and the mold made, you really do not know that this is a seasoned professional providing you with an expert diagnosis and a custom fit that is perfect. He is so disarming and charming. I am a repeat customer and will be again in the next few years. The front desk though ... needs multiple tweaks to her to be friendly/helpful/professional and the business would be 5 stars all the way. read more

Dr. Dixon is a very professional doctor with a great sense of humour. I have been to see him a few times and every time has been a good experience. He goes out of his way to be helpful and to educate you about your problem. He has great hours and works on Saturdays. read more

The doctor himself is great but DO NOT attend the north Vancouver location! The receptionist who is apparently the wife of the doctor is extremely rude and uses foul language. I have seen her on many instances going outside of the clinic to harass individuals that are parked in the handicap parking. She has made her own rule that you cannot park in the handicap spot with a handicap sign if you are sitting in the car. The insert for my shoes were not correct. I complained. they said wait for a few more weeks. then agreed with me. but then I was suppose to buy new ones as they had changed who ever makes the orthodics. . Are you kidding me? NO. I went to shoppers drug mart and bought a pair. I have never looked back. I just saved myself $275.00. read more

Dr. David Dixon is the most amazing doctor you will ever find !!!!! He is patient, kind, gentle, friendly, approachable and very, very knowledgeable. He also has the most amazing staff, Tracy and Melanie. They too are kind, patient and very approachable. Dr. Dixon is the kind of doctor that does not just rush patients in and then rush them out. He takes his time with you. He is so caring, he treats you not like a patient, but you feel you are part of his family. Friendly guy but always late. Apologizes profusely for being late it does not change his habit. Over bills in my opinion. Sees you for five minutes then says you have to make another appointment for additional treatment. The additional treatment only took 10 minutes. I visited Dr Dixon's clinic today to have custom orthotics made for my feet. I can't say I was blown away by the friendliness of the reception staff or the aesthetics of the clinic itself - but Dr. Dixon was fantastic!! I was amazed how down to earth and funny he was. David was very friendly and has a client care first mentality. He made me feel at ease while taking the mouldings of my feet and was just a pleasure to chat with. My son who is now 6 has been seeing Dr. Dixon since he was 3. Dr. Dixon showed a level of patience and respect for my son since day one. What stands out for me today is this: I recently suffered from a medical issue and could not get to his office, I also because of the medical problem suffered financial stress. I took a deep breath as my son needed new inserts for his shoes and called him. I explained the situation and this is what happened.....He showed up at my house on his way to work, 6:30am, did my sons casts and stated not to worry about money. Not only does Dr. Dixon do good work, he cares about the community and his clients. For this I am very grateful. read more
