They said that they would not be able to do a regular cleaning and I would need a deep cleaning for $150. They refused to do my Regular cleaning which is included. I did not want to pay an additional $150 but decided to due it anyway because of the sales pressure from the staff. I had no cavities... I had a follow up visit on January 29, 2019. They did my regular cleaning. They advised me that I have extra build up and should come every 3 months for a regular cleaning to help with the build up. But once again, I have no cavities. I told them my insurance only covers 2 cleanings a year which is what I will be doing. She said okay no problem. I called yesterday to set up an appointment for my 6 month cleaning & the receptionist said she read the notes and I will need to come in every 3 months for a cleaning. I explained that for 30 years, I have been doing regular cleanings every 6 months with no issues. She said she didn't care what I have done in the past, it was a requirement from their office. I told her I wanted to schedule a regular cleaning (which my insurance pays for.) She said she would make the appointment but the depending on what the Dental Hygienist said, they might require a deep cleaning (additional $150.) I told her I didn't want that. She said "well if that's what they recommend, that's what we will do. We will not give you a regular cleaning" Here is a picture of my teeth!! I brush 2 times a day at least and floss a few times a week. This dentist office refused to give me my regular cleaning & insist I !!! This office is a scam!!

This is probably one of the most important reviews, if not THE most important, I'll ever write…read more I know what you're thinking, because I've been there. I know what it feels like: "Gosh, I've got a few bucks in the bank, but I've also got a mouth I'm not happy with. Now, I could spend that money,,, but then I still might not have a smile I'm not happy with." It's not like a shirt that doesn't fit. You can take that right back with a receipt and get it fixed the same day. But in the medical field it gets pretty involved, and I get it: You want to be sure the guy you're writing the check to has a solid grasp of the craft. How do you find "That Guy"? I know my own career inside and out... But in the world of medicine I know nothing. A doctor could tell me virtually Anything and I'd have to go with it. I just don't know - I'm not a doctor. So you do the research and you trust. And that research gets expensive, too. Over time, I've visited at least a dozen offices and spent thousands. (You couldn't believe some of the nonsense these 'doctors' have told me over the years). I spent the time and the money so that you wouldn't have to. I needed to find someone who "Listens" - Check. I needed to find someone with Integrity - Check. I needed to find someone with a good "Chair-side Manner" - Check. I needed to find someone with the skill, talent and precision I needed to get the right look - Check. I needed to find an office that could do the work 'in-house' - Check. I needed to find someone with a Superior Office Staff and group of assistants supporting him - Extra Check. These folks are completely connected. THIS is the Guy. And this is the Guy .. who saved me in every way. This is the guy who gets it right. If you're going to let someone "get inside your head" - It needs to be Dr. Asinmaz.

Dr. Asinmaz has been wonderful to visit. He is kind, thorough, and takes the time to get to know his patients and any concerns they may have. The staff is the best I have ever experienced and are genuinely great people. My little guy is even starting with them in a couple days. Maxine & Kim have known him since he was I was pregnant. On the day of my appointment, as soon as I walked in, the receptionist immediately asked for my credit card and held it. I was so confused. He saw my expression and said, "Well, how will you be paying?" -- as if I was going to run off without paying. Is it because I'm a minority? Huge red flag. RACIST. I clearly stated I didn't have insurance -- do you think I would come in if I wasn't prepared to pay? I felt cornered. I was in pain and desperately needed help with my tooth, so I gave him my credit card. He also held on to my ID. I filled out nine pages of paperwork. Looking around the office, I noticed they offered Invisalign. I laughed to myself, wondering how they'd even try to market that to me when I was only there for some tooth pain. Turns out, I was wrong. When I was finally called in, the doctor and assistant were nice -- but instead of actually trying to help me, knowing I had no insurance, they just took X-rays and pictures (without telling me the cost or asking me to approve anything). Then they tried to upsell me, saying "a quick fix isn't going to cut it" and that my bite was unhealthy -- and that I needed Invisalign. Red flag number two. In my head, I felt cornered again. I knew I wasn't going to get help for the issue I came in for. She just kept talking, trying to sell me whatever she could. I wanted to cry and go home. So I just nodded and agreed. She handed me a $2,650 treatment plan -- knowing I had no insurance. Then they charged me $265 for the X-rays and pictures without telling me beforehand. I felt trapped and said "okay" -- and then they ran my card themselves and only asked me to sign after the charge, when they returned my ID and card. I've never been treated like this at any other practice. I went home still in pain, and my husband was furious. Thank you very much for the heartless treatment today. This place is a complete waste of time -- RACIST, heartless, and only trying to upsell. STEER CLEAR. Unless you're rich and white -- maybe then they won't hold your card hostage.

At the last moment, the receptionist stepped in and told me that I am not a "VIP client" and therefore I had to pay an additional $190. This felt like changing the terms at the last minute -- and honestly, it felt deceptive. I want to emphasize that my wife and I are satisfied with the doctors, and we have spent a significant amount of money at this office during recent visits. However, this situation left us very disappointed and frustrated. This is not how business should be conducted. A price that is agreed upon should be honored. Unfortunately, after this experience, we have decided not to return. It's a shame.

Positive office features include (1) pre-appointment insurance verification, (2) appointment start time flexibility (the front desk staff were generous to accommodate me after a nearly fifteen-minute late arrival), (3) a clean waiting room, and (4) a fairly efficient check-in process (so many medical offices today want unnecessary pictures of you, fingerprint scans, and other invasive material - it was nice that none of those steps were required). Regrettably, the negative aspects of the experience far outweighed the positive features. The pre-appointment text confirmation system is clearly flawed - I received six confirmation texts and even received another message after leaving without having booked another appointment. However, the primary problem lies in the unprofessional and rude behavior of the employee who walked me to the exam room. Before even sitting me in my designated room, she attempted to rush me into x-rays. I respectfully declined - having undergone sufficient radiation exposure in the past year to last a lifetime given a recent surgery, I was only seeking a teeth cleaning. Note also that I had expressed my desire for just a cleaning when booking the appointment. In a clearly agitated tone, the employee asserted, "You have to get x-rays because we don't have x-ray vision - you don't have a choice." What an unnecessarily unprofessional and condescending statement, especially from an adult - as if the purpose of an x-ray was beyond my comprehension. I simply said "no thank you" and walked out of the office. It is unclear why she decided to take such an abrasive approach with a prospective patient without even seeking to understand the situation. She totally missed the issue by rudely attempting to explain the purpose of x-rays rather than attempting to understand my reason for declining. The funniest part of the encounter was her apparent confidence when making her idiotic statement, as if it would just magically convince me to proceed. While I walked out, she even asserted no other dental practice would provide a cleaning without x-rays - false and petty. Self-respecting patients should avoid this office!
