In the ongoing saga that is my relationship with the Jim Bass Group, I thought I'd offer an update…read more The short of it is that not only does Mr. Bass take his business integrity to new lows every chance he gets, he now seems to enjoy belittling those that dare even suggest that he is not God-like. Prior to selling my home I had a pipe burst. The JBG knew about the situation and during the repair work the agent that was selling my house made suggestions on the repairs, from color paint and carpet to the needed light fixtures. She even came to the home and talked to the contractor to keep him focused. This service was the only thing worth while the JBG did. Now the insurance company is requesting that the JBG provide a note saying that the work was complete. Yes, I have provided the insurance company with all pictures and receipts but they wanted validation from the JBG. I talked to a rep from the JBG and was told that do this and it wouldn't be an issue. Today Mr. Call me God Jim Bass called, berated me because of my past reviews and refuses do write the note. He made it perfectly clear it was pay back for my previous yelp reviews. Do not use JBG . In my experience They make no effort to get you a good deal, have no issue with lying and will gladly leave you hanging. If you want a real estate agent that is fair, honest, moral and had integrity history, my history, will show that Jim Bass is not the Group you want to work with.

I was browsing Zillow and Craig popped up as a recommended agent, so I figured I'd meet with the guy. Poor Craig must have gone to 20 houses with my wife and I over a 5 month period, but he taught me so much of what to look for in a house. He didn't complain one single time when we went out to check out a house. I did all the things realtors probably hate. I bid below asking on every house, I was picky about the stupidest things and it was just my first time so I really didn't know what I wanted. Craig was great. Any agent will try to sell you a house, make their money and move on, but because Craig's family has been in the business and he has a passion for it, this is his career. So he'd rather keep you as a repeat client, and it shows. He even made me aware of a type of water piping used in Robin Meadows that leaves houses prone to major pipe bursts. He could've not brought it up, let me make a good offer, made his money, but he didn't. I walked away from the house and ended up buying in Westview Park. I lived there for 4 years happily and then bought a house down in Potomac where again we must have checked out 10-15 more houses before I pulled the trigger, lowball offering once again. Then he even advised me and assisted me in getting my Frederick house rented with AMAZING tenants. My family has used him now as well. All in all, I've worked with Craig on 3 home purchases, 1 home sale, and 1 rental. It's a great experience every time. Craig is honest and really knows his stuff. He communicates very well and never goes ghost on you. Whenever I need a recommendation for a plumber, electrician, etc., I call Craig. The best example I can give is when I knew I wanted to buy my first house, I shot him at text at 11:30 PM figuring he'd get back to me in the morning. He texted back and said if you're down to meet me at my office in 30 minutes I'll write up the contract and send the offer and they'll see your offer before anyone. He was up with me til probably 1:00 in the morning and sure enough, they accepted my offer the following morning. He's dedicated and really is just incredibly honest. He encouraged me to walk away from a couple houses I liked because he spotted out mold issues, structural issues, or other issues I'd have never thought about. I can't say enough good things. I didn't know this guy at all, found him on Zillow, and now consider him a friend. Use Craig, you won't be disappointed.
