If they're not adjusted properly, the doors hit each other, rub against each other, and simply won't close properly! Each hinge has 3 adjustment screws and needs the patience of a saint to finally get the adjustment just right!! My husband called yesterday morning and Benny told him he'd be out in the afternoon. Arrived around 1:30 and worked on our "small" problem about 2 1/2 hours! Can't say enough good things about our experience with Benny! Yesterday, the granite was installed; if we could rate this company a 10 we would in a heartbeat. We met Jim Herrick, one of the owners, first: his knowledge in this industry is incredibly deep. His dedication to his customers' satisfaction is unwavering and both really mattered for us. He guided us through the selection process which is more nuanced than it seems. When a slab choice didn't immediately jump out at us, rather than push us into a lukewarm choice, he facilitated our access to his suppliers so we would have even more of a selection. We eventually chose a slab in his inventory that proved perfect for our little cabin. His staff moved quickly to schedule the measurement (templating); the guys who did that with high tech equipment were careful and the measurements were precise. The team that cut and polished the stone took great pride in their work and yesterday, his installation team, working carefully with our contractor, did a phenomenal installation in our quirky, ancient log cabin. They hit all the details and it shows. Mr. Herrick's focus on his customers' satisfaction was obvious in every phase and is a focus clearly shared by every member of his team. To a person, they communicated well throughout, were accommodating in scheduling and unwavering in the quality of their work. When we first addressed the countertop issue, we were encouraged by many others to shop the "big box" stores. Mr. Herrick's patient education persuaded us that looking for a bargain basement price was the wrong priority, even for "just a log cabin" restoration. Seeing first-hand their attention to detail, the uncompromising work at every stage, all influenced by a commitment to their customers' satisfaction (vs just making a sale) validated our decision to use Herrick's shop. Ours was hardly a million dollar job but throughout the whole experience they treated us like it was and we'll be grateful for decades.

He sent us an informal proposal to do framing, sheeting, wrapping, window and door set, we supply the materials, Robert and crew to supply Labor/Equipment/Spot a Pot/Fasteners for around $28sqft cost. This is acceptable for quality workmanship, which I am anticipating this will be the case. We will update all transactions to our fellow Yelpers should we continue down the path with Robert and his team.

The location is on the main road into the small town of St.Helen in Roscommon County MI. Dean is almost always there and will do everything he can to make sure you are satisfied with his work. He will give you his cell phone number and encourage you to call if you ever need anything. The personal attention you get from Dean is great and only seems to happen from small town business with people that still take pride in their customers' satisfaction. Since then I have had him make a custom boat cover which came out great. He actually picked our boat up, made the cover, and delivered the boat back to our driveway with the new cover on. Boat covers aren't cheap and Dean put a lot of craftsmanship into the cover. We also store our snowmobile trailer in his lot all summer. For $2ft per month you can't beat it. This way it doesn't take up space in our yard and we don't get the "garage sale" appearance curb appeal . The storage lot is locked with a high fence and on the main road into town. We personally haven't had Dean's install any flooring for us but our neighbor just did... again, and he was very pleased. He has been using him for years and is always happy with the work and the sections he has. He does carpet, hardwood flooring, and tile flooring. His shop has all kinds of samples for you to look at. We will continue to use Dean's for his services and appreciate that he is there.
