I have been doing business with David and Mary since the 1980's. Perhaps late 70"s. First time I was there Mary tried to help me and I said I would wait on one of the guys. She smiled and said ..Okay. Turns out, she is the most knowledgeable of anyone there.... and they are all good. They will take their time with you, stand by their products, and are trustworthy. David's Gun Room is a small locally owned & operated store that has been around many years. I have bought several guns from David's over the years and remain completely satisfied. I have also done FFL Transfers through David's. The transfers are not a core part of their business and with the small charge for the service it is more of a favor from David's to take the time and trouble to receive the shipment, hold/store it until the buyer comes to pickup and then handle the 4473 form. I have found David's gunsmith's to be extremely knowledgeable, turning out excellent work. The counter staff are GREAT, spending the amount of time necessary to insure that their customers are happy with their purchase. I also have several friends that use David's as well. About a year ago, an elderly lady needed someone to help her clean out her garage and tool shed, plus do a few repairs, Due to her limited income and frail health, she was afraid to have a stranger come onto her property, and couldn't afford repairs, either. I volunteered to help her, because, well, that's what God wants me to do. After carrying out piles of trash, I found a rusty Remington 12 gauge home defence pump shotgun sitting in a corner of the shed, and asked her what she wanted to do with it. She told me to get rid of it, or keep it myself if I wanted. I tell you right now, the poor gun was pitiful. In fact, it was both rusted shut AND loaded. I fiddled with it a couple of times while sitting out in the woods so no one would get hurt if it fired. Finally, I decided to take it to David's to see what they thought. They were not optimistic, but said they would see what they could do. Three weeks later, they called and said the gun, aside from its exterior shabbiness, looked perfectly fine internally, and they could fix it. Two weeks later, I picked up my 'new' gun, complete with black tactical coating and tuned innards. It was like I dropped off a broke-down ol' swayback fleabag and picked up a thoroughbred! This is a shabby gun store manned by individuals better suited to operate heavy machinery. They have a terrible attitude and were less than friendly and seemed uninterested in helping me with my firearm. In this day and age, that kind of treatment is unfathomable to me. If you need help or gunsmith service, I would avoid this place. read more

Don't ever wasting your time to do business with ignorace david's gun room!! I hope the owner of this store read my feedback! The employee mess up my form and i had to make it right. when i call to check if my gun has arrived they lied to me saying that the gun is not in the store and suggest me to call the sender ,so i call the sender.guess what? It was delivered the day before i call. I call davids gun room again, they put me on hold about 20 minutes, i hung up call again same person answered, i told them that i have delivery confirmation, the guy got pissed off and saying we are busy to handling this case just wait until we call you and he said i gotta go, what kind of customer service??? I call again to speak with their owner and ask what time they close, same person answered again, he said hurry up you have only an hour cause i'm very tired and wanna go home, if this guy dont want to work, just stay home. You got paid to work and do what you need to do not do whatever you want!! On top of that this guy said their price is the cheapest in town $30 for ffl fee. Bolt got stuck on my rifle. Brought it to David's, they tore down the rifle and fixed the jam in about 5 minutes and didn't charge a dime.

THis place is staffed by the most incompetent slacker/liars I have ever delt with. They handled a class 3 transfer for me and constantly failed to do anything they promised me and caused an additional 5 month delay in the reciept of my gun - which I ended up transfering to at competent dealer at the ATF's suggestion. Way TOO much of a "family" operation here. Expect them to close for a week (without notice) if someones cat dies. read more

My experience from several years back, when I was shooting frequently & it was convenient to go to their location (have moved to another area of Atlanta & spend less time at range), was great! That was a long sentence to make several points. My favorite, best & the gun I used in my shooting league was purchased at David's and we did not hesitate to return for additional supplies, ammunition & service on existing guns (my spouse & I both shoot). They always worked with us on pricing on quantities and were attentive with service work. I sometimes question if people that are not 'true gun people' understand the ins % outs of managing the public when it comes to running a gun shop and having to deal with the average person that just happens to have this one pet gun OR thinks they can just go buy a case of ammo from just anybody with no questions! I guess I fail to sympathize with a lot of people that rush into a gun shop for first time thinking they can do ad they please! read more

Worst gun store I've ever dealt with. Purchased gun on gunbroker. They shipped the wrong pistol. Almost a month has past. No refund, no answers. They seem to care more about gouging the recent sales boom than customer service. read more

I received excellent service upon my first visit to the store. I put down a deposit on a weapon, submitted the paperwork for a background check, then after a very long period, decided I wanted my deposit back. When I asked about it, I was told it would not be returned. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the company stated they would refund my deposit, but it is now June and I have yet to see that refund. I certainly won't return there for anything, but I will pursue my deposit until I receive it. read more

Went to Davids Gun Room today to buy some cleaning supplies and a box of 22 Ammo for my Ruger 10 22. picked up what i needed and headed to check out. The guy tells me that i will have to buy a 22 rifle in order to buy the box of 22 Ammo. Give me a break i said this is outrageous .I already have a 22 rifle that is why i am buying the ammo. He stated that he has more rifles than he has ammo. There is a sign that he pointed out that there are no ammo sales without a gun purchase and then you can only buy one box of ammo. The shelves were fully stocked with plenty of ammo. I have been a customer of there over the years and have had work done by the in house gun smith. I think these folks have forgotten that they are in business only because people choose to shop with them. They are all caught up in the in the moment and are looking to gouge their customer in any way they can. I know that other stores in the area are putting all of their guns on gun broker and not even putting them out for sale to their regular customers. All of these antics will and should come back to haunt them. I will never step foot in Davids Gun Room again and my $ is my vote and i choose to vote with it were i am treated with the respect that any dealer should extend to his customers. This blip will pass and Davids Gun Room will have a store for lease sing in their window soon.. read more
