after a kitchen sink clog that was snaked by bell brothers I got an overpriced upsell from them who scared us telling us we 100% had a hole in our pipe and they would need to tear up our kitchen floor to patch it up for $7k. I said no thank you and called David's Plumbing. They sent out Kyle who had a better camera to investigate our pipes. Kyle confirmed we did not have a girl nor did we require any aqua jetting to get rid of the current build up since it was not as bad as Bell Brothers made it seem. David's Plumbing doesn't believe in unnecessary repairs. They are the real deal honest and fair business. Next time we need any services we will 100% be calling David's again. read more

I chose David's Plumbing because of their many five‑star reviews and their motto, "Honest work at a fair price." The pricing I received did not reflect that motto. I was quoted $1,462 to replace a short section of 2" ABS pipe and two standard fittings -- parts that cost about $50 at any hardware store. The repair was simple, required no diagnostic work, and took one hour to complete. Based on the time and materials involved, the effective labor rate was over $1,400 per hour. I understand that plumbing companies have overhead, but this pricing was far outside a reasonable range for such a basic repair. I would not use this company again for future plumbing needs. So, I looked online and, finding David's Plumbing with an A+ BBB rating, decided to give them a call. Bobby, who was very informative and pleasant to work with, was able to replace the hose quickly and efficiently. Pricing seemed fair for the work performed. I used to recommend David's Plumbing back when it was just David and son Kyle because they did seem to believe in a Fair Price but I cannot any more. I had one of their employees come to replace a bathroom sink faucet. I had the replacement faucet and there were no extra parts needed. It took 15 minutes and he charged me $500. Even if they would only charge in full hour increments, $500 an hour is ridiculous. read more

I needed gas lines run for a new outdoor bbq project and I called numerous contractors to bid the running of the lines (I did all the trenching, etc, and just needed the lines run and hooked up to the meter). David provided a very fair quote and performed the work around my schedule. Super nice guy and would definitely recommend! He was very friendly and gave me honest feedback about the complexity and cost that would be involved. I eventually decided not to go ahead with it, and Dave was totally okay with that. He even gave me some advice on a couple unrelated projects I've had in mind and took some measurements for me. And when I tried to pay him for coming out anyway, he wouldn't accept a dime! Well he turned up on time from American Home Shield hence the one star! Tuned up to repair a leaking waste disposal unit, that was working but slight drip. He left unit in bits under the kitchen sink unable to re- install a standard unit from Costco which I initially installed....I am no plumber. He stayed 1 hour 15 minutes. I would not usually post, you know sometimes things just do not work out but the soap dispenser under the sink was smashed off. His words "I did not break it, it was barley hanging on by a thread". Erm so it was in place when you went under the sink and was working fine. He simply did not remove it to give him self clear access. The thread of the soap bottle is still firmly in place under the sink still. So how was it exactly hanging by a thread? You can decide if he was telling the truth. Of course he did not get paid, but I am now left with no dishwasher or main sink for 5 days. Not the end of the world I just do not like been told "stories" that will cost me to fix and another day off work for the next plumber. Plenty of plumbers out there I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. read more

I was sick with the flu and called to reschedule my appointment. I spoke with Patrick who was WONDERFUL, friendly, understanding and professional. When I called back to reschedule for my leaky sink (Through my home warranty, AHS) I spoke with the owner, David, who was VERY rude. We made the appointment and then he followed up with "We will see if you cancel again this time". I said "Excuse me"?! and he repeated "We will see if you cancel again this time, you cancelled before. I told him "Yes, I was sick. I cancelled with advanced notice, you did not come out to the home". He said "Yes, but it messed up my scheduling"... I couldn't believe that an owner of a company would be SO rude when a customer was sick and needed to reschedule. I told him "If you don't like that I had to reschedule, I will call AHS back and tell them I want to go with a different company" and he said "Ok, sounds good" and hung up on me. This man has horrible customer service. You should never argue with a customer over an appointment. Hopefully, he will take some advice and training from Patrick on how to polite and respectful to customers. read more

I really need to remind myself to check Yelp reviews BEFORE doing business with someone rather than after the fact. David was assigned to our case by our home warranty company. We have a conventional 65 gallon propane water tank that was installed when the home was built, in 1987. The bottom has rusted out of the tank and its leaking all over! Sometime in the last few years the previous owner of our home installed solar components in addition to the conventional tank. The solar components are merely an addition to the conventional water storage heater in an attempt to save costs of heating water solely through propane. Unfortunately, David refused to properly convey the system to the home warranty company. He called our almost 30 year old conventional propane heated water tank a "solar water heater" which is not covered by the home warranty. Unfortunately the home warranty company can only make decisions based on what this "technician" has said. Thanks for nothing David. Contacted my home warranty company on Monday morning about a leaking garbage disposal; David called me that afternoon, came out to the house the next morning (was very prompt), diagnosed it was indeed my garbage disposal that was leaking and replaced it with the same type that was in previously. Without being offered a choice, I figured I would just go forward and see how it went. The service time was I believe between 9am and 12pm. At 9:01 Patrick was at the door. He was friendly, efficient, and shared his knowledge of all things plumbing-related. He diagnosed the problem (Inksinkerator was leaking) in no time at all and installed a new one just as fast. As if that weren't enough, I had mentioned our water pressure was high. Even though he had no obligation whatsoever to discuss that issue, he checked my water pressure and offered some recommendations.
