My experience at David's Tea House was good and I had no complaints. Surrounded by other Chinese establishments in the area, we decided this would be our dim sum for lunch hour. Since it was the weekday and past the normal lunch hours, there were only a few parties inside but compared to other restaurants, there were more customers which is an indicator that locals must enjoy coming here. We were set down immediately and choose our seats by the window. Our waiter whom I assumed may be one of the owners (dressed differently), took our order and also explained what the sampler included when asked. We ended up with the sampler, pancit, taro puffs and veggies. Prices were great and when everything showed up, it was more than enough for two. Thankfully, we didn't order typical Filipino food because the pancit was enough for us, including the veggies. The dim sum was just the addition to fill us up. The extra was a delicious almond jelly drink which uses the same ingredients as the almond tofu pudding... but as a drink form! A small treat. Overall, a good lunch spot. I would definitely come back if in the area. Takes credit and cash. Upstairs additional seating available. CR available. Mangaon ta! read more
I've heard about this place from many friends who swear this place serve very good food. So on our way home from Mactan, my brothers decided to make a stop. When we came, only two other tables were occupied, and wait time for our order was 20 minutes, pretty standard. We did not order much since we just had a very big buffet breakfast earlier. Anyway, I don't think I'll be jumping for joy for their food. Maybe it will hit the spot when you're really hungry, but I've been to at least 5 other Chinese restaurants in the city that's way better than this. On dish, the steamed fish came as we were almost done and after I went up front to remind the server. read more
Came here for dinner and the food is mediocre. The only dish I really enjoyed was then misua. I would only eat here if someone pays for it cus there's other places around the area that is good to eat. read more
