Davidson-Gebhardt Chevrolet came through for us after a horrible experience we had at Ghent Chevrolet in Greeley (go to their page on yelp to read my review). After getting the run around from Ghent Chevrolet in Greeley on a truck we were trying to buy and nothing but crickets from them for almost a week...within 2 days of first contacting Davidson-Gebhardt our brand new truck is sitting in our driveway. Kirk at Davidson-Gebhardt was a pleasure to work with. He communicated regularly with us throughout the process and after obtaining the truck we wanted from another dealer, Kirk set up an appointment for us to come in and finalize the deal. We arrived at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, April 21st and were driving off the lot with our new truck just after 6 pm. That's what I call service. Had a service appt on 8/9/25, scheduled more than 2 weeks ahead. I had so many issues with the appt that there's not room here to list them all. So on 8/11 I emailed the service manager with a list of all the issues. Waited a week and no response. So on 8/19 I initiated a chat through their website. Got a person and requested the GM's email address so I could escalate the issues to him. Was told that the agent didn't have that info but would pass on my request for contact to the management team. Fast forward to today, 8/25 and still no email response or phone contact. I've purchased my last 2 vehicles from them, and they've done the service work on both of them. I usually don't have issues, but this one was a screw-up of epic proportion and I'm getting no response. I'm at the point now that I'm likely not going back, for neither service nor new car purchase. My key fob was worn out. There was a recall on them so I took them in. I was told that I would get a separate key and fob. Not ideal but at least the fob would be replaced. Waited for almost 4 hours in the waiting room only to get two new keys and my old broken fobs back. AND...all they did was cut the keys off the fob. The keys themselves were never the problem. Now I have two things to carry in my pocket. I was told I could get a replacement fob at my own expense. Over $100 for just one! I went to Amazon and ordered 2 for $20 with shipping. In far less time I spent sitting in the waiting area, I will be able to fix them myself. I was told "yeah, about 99 percent of all people pass on the recall. Well,.I would have too if it had been explained correctly to me in the first place. And NO! It was NOT explained as the dealership claims. Really good experience with this dealership as an out of state buyer from CA. I bought a used 2011 camaro from these guys and drove it over 1200 miles from home in less than a 24 hour period after picking it up lol. So it passed the reliability test and I made it home safely. My salesman Kirk was a great guy and easy to deal with in person and over the phone. Ryan the finance manager was a pleasure to deal with. Everything went smooth and I have never been in and out of the dealership so fast before. (we did get the financing done before I arrived fyi.) Just minus a star because the car was missing a Tonneau cover which supposedly came with the option package of the car, which was also on the window display as an option. I made the decision to buy from a large dealership so I didn't have to worry about buying a problem car. Everything went quick and I was on the road in the Yukon in no time, but before I got home, the transmission started shifting extremely hard. So much so, that it was actually painful. The dealership had closed for the night, so I returned the next day. The salesman gave me the phone number for service and I made an appointment to get it in. The service advisor said, "Your Yukon needs a new transmission. The cost is $7,700." I drove in to speak to the salesman. He said, "The car is yours. You're stuck with it." I said, "You showed me that your technician checked the transmission before I bought it. Now five miles down the road, your technician says it needs a new transmission!?" I told the salesman that this is ridiculous and to do the right thing and take back the Yukon. He said, "There's no way we're taking that back. It's your car. Legally, it's your problem, not ours." I called the lender and spoke to a representative. I asked if the loan had been funded yet. They said it hadn't. I told them about the transmission and the lender said we won't fund the loan. Great! I went back to the dealer and they said, "Wow! You know what, this has never happened before." They were stuck. With no loan, they had to take the Yukon back. I waited for over a week for my down payment, and nothing. I went in to the dealer and they never sent it out. Davidson Gephardt Chevrolet was absolutely horrible to deal with. The worst part, by far, is that they turned around and put it up for sale again. Only for someone else to go through the same ordeal. I'm shocked that a big dealership could be so awful. Last year I bought a 2020 2500 Chevy Silverado HD diesel from this dealership I dealt with the owner son Matt and a salesman named Danny Green when my new truck was delivered I did not have runner boards on it as discussed Also the truck had door dings on both the passenger and driver door with chips and paint missing from it also when I picked up my truck it had over 800 miles on it (which I excepted some miles but not that many beings it was not a Preowned vehicle I talk to the salesman Danny they said they would get it taken care of along with my clear bra which was purchased during the deal when I picked up my truck clear bra had bubbles in it and all they did was touch up paint on the doors which I could've did myself and it looks like they used a fingernail polish Which purchasing a new brand new vehicle is unacceptable in my opinion they should've repaired them up to a new standard since then I have reached out to this dealer and also the owner which is Matt's dad for the last year and a total of 10 times and have not got but one response back Matt told me that basically his hands were tied (in a text message I have) and enjoy my new truck I reached out to his father and to the guy that worked my deal and finance and no return call to me the ethics morals and values of this dealership or at least with my deal was trash!!! And during these phone calls I had let them know that my clear bra was peeling and coming off which they value this at $14-$1700 no return call now I'm in the process of trying to figure out any other legal options or what not that I have because these guys obviously don't care once the deal is done. The dealership and service department were aware of damage to a new 2017 SS Sedan I had purchased. The damage was not disclosed at any point during the transaction (including the 1000 mile drive to take possession of the vehicle), or preparation of the vehicle. The damage was clearly visible at initial inspection, and appeared to be primarily cosmetic. When the vehicle was lifted for service, the extent of the cosmetic damage was noted. It is unknown if mechanical damage was present. The servicing employee was aware of the damage, as were other employees, yet never attempted to inform me or suggest additional inspection. Fuller inspection was possible by my request for an escort to the service area. The underbody indicated more damage than I had initially noted. Inspection paperwork indicates the damage was known prior to my scheduled pickup. Information was never presented to me regarding the mechanical status of the vehicle. The lack of disclosure by the sales department and the service department is inexcusable. The dealership has not followed up as it was stated they would. The vehicle was published for sale less than a day after my scheduled pick-up. No damage of any kind was noted in the listing information for the vehicle. read more

They do an excellent job servicing my vehicle and getting me back on the road in less than an hour. The entire staff is great.

My work truck had to be repaired, and I had used this place before, so I had no worries with coming here. My driver side power window only works when the door is open. I made a reservation for Saturday, and when I dropped it off the counter clerk did a quick investigation to confirm my problem. I called an hour before closing that day and the tech said that they had an out of state couple that were squeezed into my place instead. My truck was moved up to first in line for the following Saturday. Before closing on the following Saturday, I called and found that nothing had been done. They assured me that they wanted my business and would make me the priority for the next day. I called and texted several times through the day to check on the progress. I received little to no information. I called an hour before closing and was told that the service dept had closed early. I told them to get the manager down there and get me the key because I need that truck for work the next day. The manager met me and asked to see my log of phone calls and texts that were made with the dealership. After looking at it, he had no response other than saying that he wanted to make things "right." I didn't want anything but the key. The next day the manager called my supervisor and tried to get him to force me into bringing the truck back to them. I am an electrician. If a customer scheduled me to fix a light switch in their house, and I spent three days just sitting on their couch instead of doing what I was hired to do, I would not expect them to ever hire me again. I will never recommend this establishment for vehicles or service work again. read more

This is a review just for the service department. I have to take my vehicle here due to the warranty and each and every experience has left me more and more upset. The first time I went in my car received scratched all the way up and down the driver's side. When I brought it to the managers attention he basically accused me of doing it and trying to get them to fix it for free since his guys didn't Owen up to it. I recover horrible customer service each and every time, and have over heard them talk poorly about customers. Like the wall blocks others from hearing them. I have always taken care of our family cars and have dealt with many different service locations. They could learn a thing or two from Nissan, they have top notch customer service. Another time I called because my car wasn't engaged in Park and would have drained the battery. I made an appointment and was told on the phone they would take care of it same day since they had the part needed, we added an oil change as well. I dropped off the car and was told my car wouldn't be able to be looked at to the following week but they could do the oil change. The only reason I was there was to take care of the parking issue!!! I got understandably upset, have the manger a price of my mind and they took care of everything that day. This last time I dropped my car off to get a diagnoses of loose struts and possibly a brake issue, three days later they still haven't even bothered looking at it!!! Never been somewhere ran so poorly or so unprofessional, horrible horrible communication. Honestly how hard it is to say when you drop off your car expect it to not be looked at for at least a week, I would never have assumed that it would take that long when we scheduled it to be stored off. You waste my time!! What kind of operation is this!?!?!? I've never been to such a horrible service department. Ford was better, advantage automotive was good and Nissan was the best. The manager and the the way things are run at Gebhardt Chevrolet is an absolute joke. These were only the top 3 most horrible experiences. read more

They had vehicle all day never called. I called the next day and was told they were not done. We checked reviews and did our homework before we began deciding where we wanted to shop for our Colorado Pick-up. Buying local was really important to us and we wanted to find a trusted dealer in Northern Colorado. We had our sites on a 2018 with the current incentives being offered, but they were very hard to find in the specs we were looking for and the GM zero percent financing was only for 36 months on this model making the payments way to steep. We ended up buying a used 2017 GMC diesel Canyon which we are extremely satisfied with after 30 days. Davidson-Gebhardt has been around a long time and although there are a few negative reviews on here they have an outstanding reputation with the community which is why we chose to shop with them. This is our first purchase from this dealership, and I must say for as bad as you hear the car buying experience is we encountered none of this here. Marlin was our salesman. Marlin was a "no pressure" kind of guy and did not try to "sell us" on a vehicle. He was very helpful, listened, and when we had questions and made us feel like we were important and not just another customer. When it came down to negotiation we offered slightly under blue-book fair value about 7% less that where they had it priced and they accepted our offer. We needed to get a bit more on our trade in though and much to our surprise they did not try the classic pressure technique of "The deal is only good for today" when we walked away and asked if they would honor this offer for a few days. It was literally zero pressure on us, which sat really well with me and made me feel like this was the place to buy our truck. Maybe this was their strategy, but it worked. We reproached the matter a day or two later and figured something out that would work on our trade and made the deal. Again, even the negotiation was very pleasant. We made a reasonable fair offer and they most-likely realized that was what we were trying to do and they accepted it. The sales manager Scott even took some time to personally have our vehicle looked over on some very small scratches that showed up after it they were revealed when it was washed. We had already signed the paperwork before we noticed them. As with all dealerships these days they will try to offer you extended warranties. These may or may not make sense for you depending on what age of vehicle and your particular concerns, experience with repairs, etc. We dealt with Ryan, the Finance manager and he was extremely low pressure, and he took the time to explain things and listen to our concerns. A pleasure to deal with. In conclusion, I would absolutely shop here again and will tell refer anyone looking for a new Chevy or even a used vehicle to shop here with confidence. read more

I am new in town and had a knocking under my car so i took it to this chevy dealer. I was told i need a rack and pinion. Picked up my truck and on the way home i had the same knocking noise. Took it back next morning. They said it needed struts and strut plates. They called me and said it still knocks after that so they said i needed a stabilizer bushing. Still knocks. Then they say it needs a ball joint and tie rod end. I go back to pick up my truck up 3000.00 later and on way home still have the same problem for what i took it in for. They took the money and said take it to a frame shop. I thought the dealer knows how to fix cars. This one just know how to guess and change parts. Put what you want on my car but at least fix the problem after 3000.00 dollars. I will never go back to this backyard dealership. read more

Won't bother with this place ever again. Went in to look at diesel truck this weekend. Drove an hour from Denver to find the truck dirty. Has minor hail damage, needed tires, brakes, oil change, leaking trans pan, and transfer case. I'm a mechanic and know what to look for. So I brought these things to the attention of the salesman David and his excuse for the dirty black oil was they had just changed it but use a "dark diesel oil". The brakes pads were measured to have life left even though they were screeching and grinding and is safe. The tires, "oh, well, yeah it needs tires". But their price was priced according to these things. What a joke. Just another one of those dealerships to stay away from. read more

I initially started my search for a new lease vehicle by sending emails to several Chevy dealers in the area in hopes of getting some initial figures. I received lots of responses (some not exactly helpful) but was immediately impressed with the very detailed and prompt response I received from David Curry at Davidson-Gebhardt. He took the time to break down absolutely every last penny on the deal, factoring in taxes, the amount due at closing, monthly payments with tax, etc. There was no "game" with David, just facts. My opinion of him (and the rest of the Davidson-Gebhardt team) only increased once I arrived at the dealership and had an opportunity to speak with him directly. They were kind, professional and more than willing to work with me in order to come to a deal that I left (in my brand new lease vehicle!) being very happy with. When it came time sign on the dotted line, Scott in the financial office was great about going over each line with me and making sure I understood every charge. Extremely nice guy. We took our suburban for repair work. It was there two days and when my husband went to pick it up there was a large piece of metal in one of the tires and the tire was flat. They tried to say it wasn't their fault but the tire wouldn't hold air. We just bought these tires last summer. So they kept the car said tire unrepairable due to where the metal was and they would replace it. . Then my husband goes back to get it today and they all of a sudden said they fixed the tire and if we wanted a new tire we had to pay half. Um you punctured the tire. Oh and no paperwork because guy isn't there. . Poor service, lies, doesn't own up to their mistake. If my husband or I get in a wreck due to this tire I will get an attorney. As of today we took the tire to discount tire and they said it should not have been repaired. It would have failed and separated at some time. We replaced the tire ourselves. This dealer put our family at risk. Today we took the tire to discount tires and they said it should have not been repaired, needed replaced of which we did. My husband and I made the drive from Denver to visit George at Gebhardt Chevrolet today. I had contacted George about possibly upgrading my current Camaro to the ZL1 they had on their lot. George was extremely helpful, after very few back and forth phone calls George was able to beat the offer I received directly from the dealer I purchased my original car from. Once we arrived at the dealership George greeted us and had the car washed and ready for a test drive. All of the information George provided me verbally was 100% the same when we arrived.
