You basically go through a neighborhood and head right into the park at the end of a neighborhood street to go into the main section. We went on a nice Saturday in January and the park was super busy with disc golf players. It definitely seems like the thing to do here. They also have a large tennis court people were using. I went over for the playground. I thought the setup was great. They had four baby swings and a nice smaller play structure for toddlers. They also had a big play structure for older kids, multiple swings, little bouncy car things, and a sand pit with digging toys. It's in a wooded area so I think in the Summer it would stay a bit cooler and still a place you could go play.

They've also got these cement (or some sort of stone anyway) tables and chairs that are built into the ground. They are great for stopping to chill and have a snack or for playing chess. One of my favorite things about this park is that the big kids section and younger kids playground are pretty well separated as well as fenced in so you don't need to worry about your toddler running off and disappearing. The toilet here is pretty crap ngl but hey, at least they have a toilet st all. Look out for the birds in the summer. They will stare you down and follow you like you're treading on their turf and it's pretty damn intimidating haha RUN!!!

Cool that they named the town after that Ape. I played a concert once in this little Posh suburb of the Triangle Raleigh area. I've also been pulled over here. A few locations of Cook-Out are the best food I tried in the area - but I'm hoping to find some more delicious things next time I come to this part of town. Cary and Morrisville and Raleigh and Chapel Hill and Durham are full of great food (try the Pimento BLT at Merritt's and the Backyard BBQ $5 Pulled Pork Platter), but nothing specifically in Apex yet. I'm working on it. Local food: There is a lot of great food here too, such as Rise and Sunrise (2 biscuit shops), Clyde Cooper's BBQ, and the amazing Cook Out chain, where you should always order Cajun Chicken sandwiches and fresh banana shakes. If you include Chapel Hill (where Sunrise is, home of the best chicken biscuit in the region), then you get the greatest BLT on earth at Merritt's, and the greatest BBQ in Carolina at Backyard BBQ Pit. Honeydew Bubble Tea at Crema, and especially the Brown Sugar Milk Tea at Quickly in Morrisville. Happy & Hale in Durham for excellent healthy salads. There are some great taco places (like Vaquita) and lots of little holes-in-walls all over the region that you will discover yourself. When I reach this town I reach the Apex of my potential.

It's an artificial turf field, which can be tough on the skin when it comes to sliding, but it's a pretty nice field. It's well-marked and has soccer and lacrosse goals for use. The disc golf course is pretty fun as well - the majority of it is wooded, but there are a few more open holes as well. It's decently marked, so it's not too confusing to follow. Parking usually isn't an issue, but since it is right next to the high school, trying to find your way around can be a bit confusing.
