Davis Mountains Nut Company was low-key and a small place, but packs a huge punch with their delicious pecans. My daughters and I popped in on 2.15.2025. We were offered free samples by an older, extremely friendly gentleman. This New Mexico girl loved the salted jalapeno pecans, naturally. Lol. They didn't have any pre-packed so I grabbed the "Hot-N-Spicy" variety - love them. My oldest chose "mocha madness" while my youngest gravitated towards chocolate fudge. My total came out to $91.96. While they do not shell the pecans themselves, they get them from the Pecan Capital of the World, San Saba, Texas. I walked away with three small individual bags and a 5-flavors "Texas" round tin for an early birthday gift for a special someone, my mom. I can't wait for her to open it because I forgot what flavors I chose. LOL. Like the sign in the window advises, welcome to the nut house! We stopped in during a recent visit to Fort Davis, and we were pleasantly surprised with what this place has to offer: well-seasoned, delicious pecans. The pecans aren't overwhelmed by any of the flavors, even chocolate. I really liked how the sweet ones were only lightly sweet, and not candied. We enthusiastically bought several bags and made a note to order some for friends at the holidays. My favorite is the spicy jalapeño! read more

This place is great. They produce their own flavored pecans. You can taste the samples to see what you like best. Makes my mouth water thinking about it. The guy that runs it is super nice. They were sampling a possible BBQ flavor when we visited. You must stop by here if you're in the area. read more

Saturday at the Boerne HEB - there was a gentleman giving samples of the 3 varieties of gourmet pecans....Wow! What a surprisingly different way to make pecans delicious! Without hesitation I bought the Sweet and Spicy Pecans. I'll be sharing my new find with friends and family. It's all your fault! We were in town on vacation a few weeks back and stopped in and bought several varieties. They are amazing! Like best ever. After driving through grove after grove of pecan orchards, I had to purchase pecans to make my father's famous pecan pie. The Davis Mountains Nut Company served the purpose. Not only can you purchase pecan halves, there are about 8 or so flavored pecans that you can mix and match in a tin. You are also given an order form for shipping more nut goodness to your home. Watch out for the sweet chocolate dipped pecans they have hydrogenated oil. My fav is the spicy flavored pecans. Make good gifts for grandparents or Christmas time. read more

They send the freshest and tastiest pecans in many flavorful varieties from natural to spicy to ones with beautiful sweet glazes that excite the taste buds. You can't go wrong here and they are also a good community citizen, letting folks leave their UPS packages at the door for pick up which is a "god send" in this quaint and rural west Texas town.
