A new Asian dessert spot that blew up on social media for their stretchy milk pudding. That was also the reason as to why I decided to check it out! Upon walking in, the line was long and the wait was long as well. They are newly opened so maybe timelines of their service are better now. Got their stretchy milk dessert with assorted fruit. It's refreshing and very milky/ creamy so if you're into that, you'll definitely like this dessert. Also tried their taro mochi dessert which was packed with chewy mochi and jellies. Overall, not my type of dessert I enjoy. BUT can appreciate the art and flavours of this. My friends all loved it!

Da Xi offers contemporary Chinese/Taiwanese desserts with trendy toppings. If you're feeling the classics, like Sesame or Almond Paste, they have those too. In particular, I was drawn to their build-your-own dessert menu b/c sometimes you just crave the lesser known combos that don't have a place on the menu. Thanks to this DIY option, I got to satisfy specific cravings. For the customization, the à la carte pricing makes sense and is honestly not that much more. My DIY dessert: milk tea base, milk mochi, mangoes and crystal boba ($10). Although the colour was very depicting, you can't really distinguish the milk tea taste (nothing special, would not get again). Mangoes and crystal boba were exactly what I was craving that day. But what's to die for... is their MILK MOCHI. It is soo irresistible & chewy!! The fact my entire bowl was milk mochi made it seem bottomless and it made me so happy \(^^)/ We also got a Mixed Fruit Coconut Milk Sago Dessert ($7.5). However, all the fruits were tart, none were sweet :( For the portion of a large size, I think the price was fair compared to other Chinese dessert shops. This place has a very zen decor. We came here on a weekday afternoon and enjoyed the entire place to ourselves. When it's quiet like that, it makes for a bright and spacious place to study/work. Da Xi is a great dessert staple to have in the area. With hot & cold desserts as well as tea, it's a suitable spot all year round.

Daxi is very relaxing with wooden chairs and tables. You order at the front and bring it to your table. We ordered the 紅糖芋圓鮮奶麻糬 Brown Sugar + Taro Ball + Milk Mochi The milk mochi was so chewy and tasty with grass jelly inside. It was delicious along with my Jasmine tea! They have Jenga and card games.

The place went viral so needed to go try it for myself. Let me tell you, this dessert shop doesn't disappoint. The Taro was full of flavour where the taro was noticeable but didn't overwhelm anything. The typical mixed fruits never disappoints. Overall the dessert here is very light and delicious. Would recommend 9.5/10
