My buddy and I were traveling down from Wisconsin and New York, Cpt. Paul was totally flexible about scheduling a time that worked for our flights arrivals. Gave us the go-ahead to bring some refreshments and a few cold ones out on our trip. He was right on time at the dock, he was even out before our scheduled time catching bait fish which we didn't have to waste time doing during our charter. Cpt Paul was super patient with some of our not so stellar casts and gave us plenty of insight to help with technique. When the fish weren't biting like we hoped for he moved us to different area's and found us action. All in all we had an incredible day catching tons of fish, laughing, catching up with one of my best friends that I don't get to see often. Cpt. Paul is a superb fishing guide, super knowledgeable (been in the area for a long time), and a great guy to spend the day with on your charter. Will go out of his way to make sure everyone is having a good time, comfortable and safe. I highly recommend Cpt. Paul and will for sure give him a call if we make it back down to the area again!! Breezy day, but Jimmy found good water and got us in the trout right away. Fished that for a while then moved to the Snook around the mangroves and had a lot of fun with the live bait. Didn't hook a shark, but we finished the day with some attempts at them in the channel. Great host and guide and kept everyone fishing and happy the whole time.

One of the islands, Hickory Preserve I believe, I'm not sure of the exact name, was awesome. It was planned it as our first stop, and when we arrived, we found ourselves to be the only ones there. There were beautiful, perfect shells everywhere: conchs, whelks, alphabet cones, wormies, murexes, and even unseparated cockle shells (I actually thought it was a different type of shell because I had never seen an unbroken pair before). I could barely take one step forward without having to stoop down again (I'm glad I left my sand dipper on the boat, because it was completely unnecessary). On our way back to the dock, he took us to see manatees, and it was pretty much the perfect end to both our excursion and our trip to Sanibel. We got close enough to take photos and videos without bothering them, and we even got to see two eating together (I think he said they were eating the algae off the dock post). There were just so many extra kind gestures that Carolyn and John extended to us, just top notch customer service and friendliness overall that made me feel very spoiled. Photos of our day were uploaded to a Dropbox account for us to download, we didn't have to waste time transferring shells to our bags because we got to keep the buckets, a thank you postcard was sent to us in the mail. The boat was comfortable and clean and stocked with ice in a large cooler for our drinks. We saw dolphins and a group of 5 manatees. We swam and went shelling on an island accessible only by boat. We stopped on Cabbage Key for lunch at Jimmy Buffet's restaurant. Our family consisted of 2 50 year old and our 21 and 23 year old children and their significant others. Everyone had a great time.
