Another great experience at Daybreak Dental today. The office is always immaculate and the team culture is excellent--you can tell they genuinely enjoy working together. Krissa was so personable and careful during my x-rays and prep that I felt at ease immediately, and Christine followed with an incredibly thorough yet gentle cleaning. My teeth feel great and I felt zero pain. Dr. Rausch remains the most trustworthy and detailed dentist I've found. Even with some new faces in the office, the high standard of care hasn't changed. Made an appointment & took off work to be there. Was told they would call me if there were any issues with my insurance, but I never received any call. They waited to tell me until I came in for my appointment that they weren't able to see me due to insurance issues. Absolutely unprofessional and inconsiderate. Fantastic experience. Just from the waiting room, I felt at ease. Many dentists offices have impatient staff and waiting rooms and exam rooms that are overly clinical. Daybreak Dental was warm and welcoming from the beginning. Dr. Kate made me feel amazing and was extremely attentive, even though I came in nervous and in pain. I had sudden, excruciating pain and ended up in the ER at 10 PM. Turns out, my tooth was infected, so I submitted an emergency appointment request to Daybreak Dental that night, asking if they could call me at 8 AM for an exam. Sure enough, they called me right on time, and I was in the office an hour later. After my exam, I was sent to a specialist for a root canal, then came back to get a cap put on. Kate was amazing--she checked on me throughout the entire process. I've always been terrified of the dentist, but this experience completely changed that. I found Daybreak after an old coworker recommended them. I've referred my sister, my mom, and a couple old coworkers myself since! If anyone asks me for a dentist recommendation I will not hesitate to hype up the Daybreak team. I've always had anxiety going to the dentist due to some previous trauma, but these lovely people really make me feel so comfortable and safe at my visits. They have taught me so much about dentistry, proper home care, and insurance. It's so refreshing having an expert educate you without placing judgement or pressure on you. Their kindness and compassion is truly unmatched. I actually left Daybreak to go to another dentists office in Austin because my insurance changed with a new job & I will never make that mistake again! The other dentist pushed me to get a crown that was beyond their scope of work and they placed a clinically unacceptable crown. So, with my tail between my legs, I went back to Dr. Mortensen at Daybreak and, like the godsend he is, he made everything right. Not only did he show me incredible compassion and comforted me during that unfortunate time, but he took that unacceptable crown off and replaced it with a gorgeous crown that I am so happy with!!! It's on one of my front teeth so I was so nervous that my smile would look messed up forever after going to that other dentist, but Dr. Mortensen fixed the issue and now you can't even tell that there's a crown there! My smile looks natural again and I'm so pleased with the results. After my crown issue was resolved I signed up for Daybreak's in house dental plan after some guidance about dental insurance with Dr. Mortensen. I had my first cleaning recently with Dr. Plagenz & Liz and everything went so smoothly! Dr. Plagenz was so lovely & Liz was super thorough with the cleaning. Liz even took the time to create a personalized daily routine for me and give me recommendations for products as well as show me how to floss and brush correctly. Honestly, all of the staff is amazing, and I truly mean every single one of them. They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I'm a receptionist in the medical field myself and Angie at the front desk is a superstar. She always answers all of my questions clearly and is a master with scheduling and communication to the other staff and patients. She always makes sure to greet me with a smile at my appointments and I love how she remembers all the clients names and connects with us. Suezette helped with my crown issue and she was SO compassionate and understanding. I truly feel heard at this office. My dad used to tell me that the top two regrets people have in their old age are that they should've saved more money and taken better care of their teeth. Daybreak helps you do both. Finally Love Your Dentist! I have been coming to Daybreak Dental for over a year now. The staff here is absolutely amazing! Angie & Tina know me by 1st name & it's always a warm welcome. Selena & Suezett, the assistants, are both hard working and always have a positive vibe. They put me at total ease no matter what procedure I am getting done. Dr. Mortensen and his staff, has taken such great care with my oral health. Dr. Mortensen goes over everything about your appointment and treatment with you and not only explains what he's doing, but why. He is so smart and kind I knew I was putting all of my trust into the right Doctor. He's thorough and patient answering all questions. I have never felt rushed or neglected like some doctors can be. The office has always been extremely clean, and with Covid they've taken all the necessary precautions as well. I actually stumbled upon this place searching for a new dentist closer to my home, and I can't believe how fortunate I am to have went here first. If you are in the market for a new dentist, one you can trust and has a great personality, look no further. Daybreak Dental is by far the best dentist office and Dr. Mortensen is by far the best dentist I have ever had. In fact I am putting my full trust in him in the coming weeks to give me porcelain veneers, which is obviously not something a person just lets anyone do. Final straw. This place was all smiles at first... but it turned out to be a facade. I had my permanent retainers removed and Essex retainers made. They did a mold in office and I couldn't even bite my teeth together with the wacky retainers they gave me. I had to return to the office 2 additional times before they decided to scan my teeth for a 3D mold. I was told I would have to make do with the retainers that don't fit in my mouth and have been causing me pain for over a month and a half now. The office manager stated I should only have to wait an additional 2 weeks max. It has been over the 2 week time frame so I had to reach out to them once again. I was just told by Lauren that I now have to wait a month for my correctly sized retainers. Extremely frustrating that nobody was going to reach out to me. I don't even know if my retainers will fit by then. This has been such a nightmare experience. read more

Stopped by a few months ago and they verified they accepted my insurance but with covid-19 going on they asked me to check back in May. Called in June to set up a new patient appointment to start a plan to maintain my oral health and got appointment for June 3rd at 1pm. Front desk rep Angie called me on yesterday June 1st ask if it would be ok to move my cleaning from 1pm to 3pm I told her that would be ok. Got a call today June 2nd at 5:08pm informing me that my insurance isn't accepted there I'm just confused as to how it was verified appointments set, times changed and now it's not accepted read more
