Sink would not drain. Zoom in to see facial hairs in sink from previous tenant.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We looked at 4 rooms before we decided to stay in one, the best one of the four. Room 1: Nasty stains on the sheets and bed spread. Bathroom door was very hard to close. Once closed, I was stuck in there for 15 minutes because the door would not unlatch when you turned the handle. Had to pry the door towards the hinges to get it open. The bathroom door was falling apart at the bottom. Room 2: Non-washed blood stain on the top sheet. Something sticky, that looked like taffy, on the bed spread. Other nasty stains on the sheets and comforter. Room 3: Non-smoking room that smelled like cigarette smoke. When we asked about it, we were told "if the customer pays cash we allow them to smoke." Room 4: This is the room we took... Only a couple of stains on the sheets and bed spread. There was a hole burned in the top sheet. fridge was not cold. TV remote did not work. Facial hairs in the sink, as if someone shaved their face. When we did try to rinse out the sink, the water would not drain. It stayed that way over night. The blow dryer was broke off the wall mount. Other small misc issues as well. We ended up going to Walmart and purchasing sheets, pillow cases, and towels. This place is dirty and nasty. Anyone who says this hotel is clean and nice, must be on the wrong Days Inn. The pictures on the website make this place look nice. It is NOT nice.

Disgusting!!! Actually 0 (zero) stars. I have actually never been in a hotel room in this level of disrepair (disrespect). I wasn't expecting luxury here, far from it, but I NEVER expected this! You ask, did I stay the night? Absolutely NOT, vacated the property as soon as I could, actually sat in my car for well over an hour, rather than the room.

Urine left from the previous guest...quite obvious the staff didn't change the sheets.

This is an older property but the room I stayed in looked like it had been updated in the last couple years. It's cheap and pet friendly.

Well, nothing has changed, except maybe it is better, although I am unsure how that is possible. Becky is truly one of the most gracious hostesses ever! Each room is just as welcoming and warm for your arrival. Your name awaits you on the door, and a piece of chocolate is calling your name from the nightstand beside the bed. Water, and other beverages are in the fridge in the foyer/hallway upstairs outside of the rooms, with any extra amenities you may want to use, such as when you forget your toothpaste, or if you want to use the iron, etc. We went in December so the house was so eloquently decorated for Christmas. Becky always accommodates any special needs or requests for breakfast, such as nut allergies and hubs and I being vegetarian since the last time I frequented the Moss House. Becky is also always equipped with local restaurant recommendations, as well as fun things to do in the area. A little extra thing that I love, The Moss House has it's own little soap in the bathroom. They leave you a little bag to take the soap that remains home with you, so (1), you are not wasting soap by leaving it and it getting thrown away, and (2) You can enjoy the herbal soap at home, because it truly smells amazing! We've now stayed in all of the rooms available and I truly love each room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in any of them as they are all wonderfully accommodating and cozy!

Washington is a sleepy town but very pretty and peaceful. The Moss House had pleasant large rooms with modern amenities and lots of old fashioned charm. Our hosts went above and beyond to help us book dinner reservations and a sunset river cruise. They even had chocolate cupcakes to celebrate my boyfriends birthday! The rooms were very comfortable and really inviting. But the reason I will be returning? The breakfast! Both mornings the breakfast was interesting and made wonderful use of the local produce. There was plenty of fruit and local vegetables and we both indulged our sweet tooths with the pastries and sweet rolls! A fabulous find in a sleepy little town!

**Hampton Inn Washington, North Carolina - Stay Review**…read more Overall, I had a very good stay at the Hampton Inn in Washington, NC. **Check-In & Staff:** Due to issues with the digital key system, I checked in at the front desk and used a plastic key card throughout my stay, which was no problem. The night shift front desk attendant was exceptionally friendly and helpful--she's truly an asset to the company. She also thanked me for being a Gold member, which is something I rarely hear at check-in, so I appreciated that extra touch of recognition. Impressively, she was also the one who handled my checkout and addressed me by name, maintaining her professionalism from start to finish. **Cleanliness & Maintenance:** The hotel is very clean, which is one of the first things I noticed. Some remodeling is underway, so the pool and exercise room were closed, but I don't typically use those amenities, so it wasn't an issue for me. **Room Details:** My room was ample and clean, with a standard bathroom setup. The towels were thinner and smaller than I'm used to from this brand, but they were clean and sufficient. There's a hair dryer in the bathroom and a closet with an iron, hangers, ironing board, and a cotton blanket or similar. There was no luggage rack, but a wall-mounted coat hanger near the entrance was a nice touch. The room includes a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave--though the microwave did not work well (couldn't even pop a bag of popcorn). There's a small shelf area for storage, a desk with a desk chair, and plenty of lighting--four lights total, including a double lamp. The room also has a TV and conveniently placed power outlets with USB and USB-C ports. **Lighting & Noise:** Light-blocking was mixed. The bottom of the door was well-sealed, requiring a firm push to fully close it, but it did not close automatically. The sides of the door and the edges of the window coverings let in noticeable light. Hallway noise easily filled the room; there was little sound dampening. **Breakfast:** Breakfast was acceptable with some variety each day. - Day 1: Scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, grits - Day 2: Bacon, cheesy omelets, oatmeal - Day 3: Western omelets, sausage slices, breakfast potatoes, grits Blueberry and regular waffles were always available, along with breads, coffee, and other breakfast staples. The coffee bar was always stocked and never empty. One of the best features was the grab-and-go breakfast bags with a bagel, apple, peanut butter, and more--very convenient for guests in a hurry. **Other Amenities:** There is a small lobby shop with snacks and drinks. It was low on stock during my first two nights, but it was restocked by the morning of my last day with candy, sundries, and beverage options. **Summary:** Despite some minor issues like the microwave and light/noise concerns, this was an overall excellent stay. The staff, especially the night shift front desk attendant, elevated the experience with outstanding service. I'd definitely stay here again.

I really liked my room and the layout of the suite made more sense than others I've stayed as the bed was in the middle of the room and the couch and desk near the window. This suite design had both overhead lights and multiple lamps. Then with the relaxing area being near the window there is the sunlight too. I even got to watch the sunrise from the window. The cable lineup was on the smaller side with just a handful of stations but did have the stations for the games. Hallway noise was a bit of an issue with doors slamming frequently and conversations. So more soundproofing would be nice. Breakfast was to start at 7am and the breakfast seating is a large area. There were at least two large groups here during my stay and already at breakfast at 7am. The food was better the first day as the second day the oatmeal was cold not even luke warm. So I don't think the warmer was plugged in. It was hot the first day. The toppings were in a different section. The breakfast area isn't organized the best either. But there are waffle makers; biscuits; omelets that were rubbery; scrambled eggs; bacon and potatoes. There were pastries; bagels and bread for toast. I think I should have grabbed that instead. I stopped at Bojangles on the drive home. I'd stay here again but skip the breakfast.

Check in went smooth, quick, and the desk clerk was very pleasant. There was a stand up poster in the lobby for a golf tournament and when I asked about it I was told it was a caddy shack related tournament. Well that's interesting! They also have free cookies available, but get em fast cos they go quick! Our room was on the first floor and that would come back to haunt us later as those golfers were partiers and had setup a full bar for themselves that evening at a table in the dining area, which is near the front desk. They had assorted hard liquors they brought with them to make drinks and needless to say they got very loud. The room itself was spacious, very clean, and the carpet looked new. The TV is nice and big. The curtains did a good job of blocking out light. The bed tho was not very comfortable at all so I did not have a good night's sleep. The frig is small and does not have a freezer compartment. My eyes and nose got very irritated from what I discovered was a plug in deodorizer that had a very strong scent so I unplugged it. The toilet is low so if your knees are not in great shape it could be an issue. Unfortunately I'm finding even in most hotel chains the handicapped rooms still have a low toilet! The shower door didn't want to stay closed, plus water leaked on the outside. With the exception of bar soap, the other toiletries are mounted on the wall in the shower, but are pleasant smelling. There is no hand lotion. The breakfast seating area is large, but there was only one attendant who looked stressed and was kind of cranky when I asked for some forks to be replenished as there were none, not to mention several of the hot bar items were wiped out. An employee with full trash bags on a cart for some reason walked by all the receptacles that were filled to the brim with trash in the dining room. To say the hot food on the free breakfast is not very good is an understatement. The "fried" potatoes are coated in a seasoning salt and were kinda hard and the scrambled eggs are microwaved in a pre-sealed plastic bag and are a bit funky. The bacon tastes fake, yet is extremely greasy. The turkey patties looked too horrible to even try. The waffles are ok just have your batter ready as soon as you prespray the iron or it'll get stuck. The syrup is in a dispenser and none avail that is low sugar. No fresh fruit that I saw either. Lots of carbs like assorted breads and bagels to toast. Oats, grits, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. I could be missing some things, but all in all if it'll pass for your kids, ok, but if you're just two traveling adults you might seek out breakfast somewhere in town. If this is an example of what Fairfield Inn offers, I think we'll pass on this chain in our travels.
