This place stinks!! I walked in with a over the shoulder bag and customer service asked to search my bag. My bag contained my planner (holding credit cards, driver license etc). The employee asked to keep my bag while I shopped. Sure let me give you all my identification and credit cards to hold while I am in your store. Lowes/Home Depot do not asked to hold your credit cards upon entering the store. What pinhead came up with this policy. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO HUBBARDS. STAY AWAY!! read more

I took a roller tiller in for them to put on a new fuel tank. The clerk told me, "it will take about 2 weeks, to be ready". 2 weeks later I called, they said, "It is not ready and it will take 10 days more". After about 2 more weeks, I called again and the owner said, "They will get to it in 4-5 days". I went got the tiller and took another shop. Do not take anything or buy anything from them. A few years back I walked into Hubbards with an open mind, and I'm sure glad I did! By far the best hardware store in the Rogue Valley, always has just what I need. Being a family owned business these guys know the importance of a welcoming atmosphere. The staff at Hubbards is very kind and helpful. My family does a lot of maintenance on our house and yard and we always head strait to Hubbards to get the right tools. Even if I don't know what I need if I just describe the problem to a staff member they direct me to the right product with a smile on their face, happy to help. I punched a husks Varna lawn mower back in Feburay 20 2016 and have used it 4 times. Now it's March 6 2016 and I took it in to have it looked at as why it won't start and when it did it didn't go height on the rpm. Now they charged me $27.00 and told me that it needed a spark plug and a filter, cause the gas I was using was wrong, mind you I have other lawns equipment and all works great. So I raised some hell and the response I got back was don't come back, must be nice to be able to run customers off, put a call in to management and still haven't herd back...I would never shop there again and telling everyone that I know about there customer service. read more

I was very surprised when I walked into Hubbards. This is not your typical local hardware store. Their selection is as large as the major hardware chains, but their staff doesn't avoid making eye contact. I had been having trouble with my faucet leaking and an employee was able to help me find the washer to fix the problem. She even made sure I had all the tools I would need to replace the washer. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and with their product selection, I'll definitely be coming back for any other hardware needs i'll have. read more

BAD!!!! Stay away!I am in total agreement with the other reviewer here! I also will never step foot in hubbards again. They have the worst customer service possible! I waited for a repair on a item I bought there( a rush job they told me), My machine took 4 months. I was given so many stories ( by Mark) of why the parts hadn't arrived including that they had to meet a quota to get a better price for the parts ( which meant they were waiting for more models like mine to come in for repair to buy parts in bulk). They were also rude on the phone whenever I called and promised call backs that never came. When I picked up my item it was not fixed , had the same problems. Instead of taking back to them I sent it out to manufacturer and my machine was repaired by them free of charge and in about a month. I tell everyone dont ever take anything to be repaired there. I use a hardware repair in Rogue river they offer customer service you can count on! read more

This store is very dishonest in it's dealings with customers .. I went to Hubbards Hardware in Medford Oregon the other day .. I needed some foam material for my wheel chair in order to put the strap around it to make it more secure on my truck .. There was one girl on the register and one older gentleman at the first counter on the main entry way .. For a time, I thought I was at Home Depot .. There was no-one around except the older gentleman mentioned .. We, (My daughter and I), went back to the older gentleman and asked him where the foam for plumbing was at .. I found what we needed and on the way to the register, my daughter noticed that 3 of the foam corners were used with splits and dried glue on them .. I went to question this type of sale where it had the same price as the new one and it was wrapped with the same packaging as the new one .. The Manager came over (Who also stated he was the owner), and it really did not feel it was that important and he said, "I have to go look at something" .. He came back after a few minutes and said he would give me a 20 percent discount on the used ones .. I told him I would offer $1.00 for each of the used ones .. He said no and he wasn't very nice after that. I bought the only new one he had. I told him I do not deal with dishonest businesses and I would not be back .. Ever. with the recent weather in our area my husband who is disabled and a veteran of our country and i visited your store to purchase some heat tape. the associate who helped him find what he thought we needed never mentioned the stores return policy which now has signs in store that claim no refunds for any thing that has been used to combat the horrible cold snap we had and even though the tape was never opened or installed because there was not any power wire to heat the tape and associate neglected to point this out so it was unusable! so now we are here with a damaged pump from running 24/7 but your rude manager mentions signs posted in store which were not even visible while she was explaining the policy so no refund so basically we bought 50 dollars worth of tape! no heat involved i can assure you we will never step foot in a store who preys on people who need something so completelyj and due to ignorant staff do not get the product they need and then no returns because it falls under some vague guidelines!! she was extremely rude didnt even consider that it was the stores fault for selling us the incomplete product! didnt even offer to make that right! read more
