Alexandra was amazing. She showed up on time, with all her supplies, and was excellent with the kids. She did very elaborate face painting designs, with rhinestones, and glitter, and was able to do about 12 kids in an hour. After she did lots of face painting, she made balloon animals for the kids. We hired Alexandra for my office's family Halloween party. She did a great job! I think people were nervous to go up to her at first, so she started making balloon animals to go with the costumes the kids were wearing- great idea to break the ice! We hired Alexandra for our son's 2nd birthday last weekend. She was amazing! Many parents came to me asking how I found her and how great she is (and many are likely going to hire her for future events). She went out of her way to make the kids happy with the face painting and balloons. She added glitter, used stamps for kids who wouldn't sit still, even did a Mickey Mouse painting for the birthday boy! She also created some very unique balloons that the kids loved. And to top it off, DC face painting was one of the more reasonably priced services when I was shopping for face painting and balloons. Alexandra is amazing! We hired her for our son's fifth birthday party. We hoped that she would arrive on time and be able to fit in balloons and face paint for all of the children. She exceeded those expectations by quite a long mile. We were pleasantly surprised by her attention to detail with the face paint. I didn't think my son would get anything sparkly on his face, but she included a little... I'm not sure what it is... Black shimmer? In his superhero eyes that made them noticeable even to someone like me, who typically doesn't pay a lot of attention to these things. The balloons exceeded expectations also. She made bow and arrows, special butterfly wands... At one point, the kids had to take a break to tour a fire station. She proactively used the time to make extra balloon animals for the kids. We celebrated my daughters birthday and hired Alexandra from DC Face Painting. She was exceptional!!! I found her on Thumbtack. Alexandra was the first to respond and even called me to discuss details. She was punctual showing up a few minutes before the party. I was shocked she was able to paint 13 kids faces in about 45 minutes and even had time to make each child a balloon animal before the hour was up. Fantastic experience!!! Alexandra came out for our 4 year old's birthday party. Alexandra had a large selection of designs. I even saw her painting a couple of mom's arms. After all that, then there was the balloon twisting. Alexandra was so fun and sweet with the kids. A couple of parents came up to me and commented about how great she was. I hired Alexandra for my daughter's birthday party this month. She is the best face painter and balloon artist I've ever seen! Her painting was beautiful, she did all the kids and some of the adults too. She did designs as well as masks, with glitter and even little gem stickers. She is very fast and was able to give the kids multiple drawings - on their face and arms. Her balloons were also a hit - some extremely creative and skilled balloons, including a crown and flowers for the birthday girl. There were also some pretty cool animals and even a train with a little puff of smoke coming from the engine! Very impressive. She showed up a few minutes early to set up, was friendly and very good with all the kids, and had books with varied designs to look through for both face painting and balloons. She used her time very well, taking any down time to make extra balloons for kids who didn't have any yet, and seeking out the more shy kids.
