I used DC flooring because they were highly rated but these are obviously fake reviews. They gave an estimate similar to many companies so I went with them. I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company. read more

One of the best vendors I have ever worked with, and I say this as someone who owned and managed apartment properties for over 10 years and worked with many vendors. David was prompt in providing me with a rough estimate, as I don't trust vendors who can't which indicates their possible lack of experience as they should know how to quote especially if you provide details in your Yelp project profile. I did not have the original vinyl flooring to replace carpeting in my unit's bedrooms, but David put great effort into finding ones what was as close as possible. In any event, David and his partner were able to replace the carpet with the flooring we chose in only 2 and a half days and when we saw the results, we were pleasantly surprised at how well the results were and in addition, though the vinyl was not a 100% match with the rest of the unit, we were pleasantly surprised to find how well it integrated with the rest of the unit and actually made the unit more interesting looking. Edgar showed up within a few days and gave me a detailed estimate with a fair price. He also included an estimate to refinish the engineered wood floors in other areas of my home. I opted to wait on the refinishing job, but agreed to his price on the bedroom install. They started the project within a few days and completed it quickly with only a few minor issues. There were several exposed nail holes in the floor and they had neglected to paint the base shoe trim to match the walls, even though I supplied the paint. Professionalism from beginning to end. David and his crew were meticulous in all the details. They were neat and tidy throughout to ensure dust was kept to a minimum. They communicated well with regards to questions and options throughout the process. They kept me in the loop on all decisions to insure that I would be happy with the end result. We had them refinish roughly 4000 sq ft of existing red oak. They also added roughly 1000 sq ft of new red oak to seamlessly tie into the existing floors. We chose to go with a modern white wash look . They applied Bona Nordic White Wash Seal which gave us the effect we were looking for. We also had them re-tile the laundry room. The entire house is now more modern, bright and light filled. Most importantly, they finished on time as promised! After a couple weeks, we said goodbye to old, dingy yellow floors and hello to bright and beautiful white washed floors. Refinishing floors and tile work is no easy task. Perfection can not be expected since the process is done with human manpower and talent but we can expect something close. It's an art form that involves mastery of trade techniques. Mr. Hernandez and his entire team completely surpassed my expectations. I recently purchased my first home, the hardwood was in a SAD state. I reached out to three different floor refinishing businesses and Mr. Hernandez followed up with me by email and text very quickly. I never heard back from any of the other businesses. We researched wood floors installers and DC seemed like a good option. Looks like they do nice work and lots of good reviews on Yelp. Trouble is they don't seem very professional. I called the number provided on the website and someone answered "hello" and I'm like "is this DC Floors?" and he's like "yes but I'm in a meeting and would have to call you back." So my wife writes an email to David and a day and a half later no response. She also sent a message through their website contact form and left her phone number. No call back. So it seems they are too busy and maybe can't be bother to hire someone to answer the phone. Why would we hire someone who can't even get back to us. Although my job started late due to a prior job they were on being a little more time consuming than previously planned David was in constant communication with me about that and never left me hanging. That is extremely important. He is very responsive to emails and texts. Again, extremely important when you're managing a full remodel and everything has to be staged one contractor after the other. We did Eucalyptus stranded flooring throughout our home with a 6"+ baseboard and the installation looks great. Just got some of our hardwood in the new house sanded and varnished. We scoped around Yelp to find a good company that does amazing work to fix hardwood and stumbled upon DC Floors. I spoke with David over Yelp and eventually had him come down to check out the house and get an estimate. Once everything was squared away, he spoke to my wife and I about options for staining. We told him what we wanted and then the work began. Throughout the 3 day process, David updated me on the work and sent me photos of the floors being finished. Our house went from carpeted floors with scratched and banged up premium white oak hardwood to completely varnished and restored hardwood throughout the house. David and his workers were phenomenal. Only complaint I had is we had left the workers some plastic water bottles to drink during their job, when the floors were finished I noticed some of the empty bottles stashed in different rooms.
