But after going in the front door and greeted by friendly staff I was off to a good start. Even before they brought the menu, they offered me a drink! Nice second step. Then I had to take a business call and went outside. 20 minutes later I finally met my waiter who had a cold beer waiting for me and presented a large menu. Several fixed price options and a la carte rendered me confused and undecided. I chose the baked fish and lobster bisque. But I mentioned that the asparagus on a different fixed menu looked good as well. The waiter immediately said we will add asparagus or "white gold". And white gold it was. The Flemish asparagus is in season and a delight. The excellent lobster bisque had bite size pieces of lobster and the cream and French cognac came separately, adding to the interest. The fish was not to disappoint, either. In summation, this is NOT a hotel restaurant and a great find. I will be back.

It is divided in two areas, the main restaurant and the pub. They serve the same menu in both areas. The menu is a combination of pub food, some pasta and grill entrees. I got the pork medallions and they were cooked very good, not greasy at all. Even for dessert they have like 6 things to choose. I doubt you will come from far just to eat in this place but if it happens that you are in your route to Breda or Etten-Leur, this restaurant serves good food to fill you up. Normally in the weekends the good is nice and the most tasty around this area, you will have an amazing pair of ribs or a nice burger. My ribs were just not as good as on the weekends. Either my chef had a mental breakdown or it was prepared some days ago, who will say. Service is good, drinks are nice, it's cozy and nice, it's just a good place to eat, to bad the food sometimes can be meh.
