Fancy shopping center with some high prices and lots of variety. We came to view the stand glass windows in the stairs. They are beautiful and worth a look. I wish more stores were this decorative. read more

Shitty customer service, probably fine if you get your stuff delivered, but if not good luck trying to get help from people that put all the responsibility on you. read more

Totally mixed feelings. Love, love, love most of the brands. But hate, hate, hate, the plastic puppets near the entrance with their perfums and cosmetics. It's a department store like Macy's. For Dutch standards, high end brands. Lately, more store, in store than a real departement store. Check out their website for their most recent brands. Price level: high. But....good deals for people who join their loyality program via the Bijencard (through Mastercard). Early sales, extra savings and points for every euro you spent. Inside of outside the store. Their new strategy is to keep some signature stores with enough spaces and get rid of the smaller stores. So The Hague and Amsterdam definitely are keepers. And if you're from out of town, or out of the country check out the buildings. Mostly very nice architecture. In The Hague I love the winding staircase / escalator from the first to the second floor. Minus: - Plastic puppets spraying perfum and trying to sell the make up at the the entrance on the first floor; - It can be crowded, especially during sale (the Dol Dwaze Dagen / DDD, twice a year); - Expensive - Even for diamond members there is no free delivery during sale, and no option voor pick up; - I'm here only during my lunchbreak and mostly I've the feeling the all the staff is on a lunchbreak to. Except the plastic puppets on the entrance. Hard to get attention or the needed help. Plus: - good loyality program; - good sales; - besides the sales you can order stuff online and pick it up in the stores for free. read more
I have nothing but great things to say about this place! The atmosphere in this store just can't be matched elsewhere locally - classy, modern, and clean. The customer service here is great. I believe prices here are just about what you'd pay elsewhere (at a store not nearly as nice as De Bijenkorf). As an expat, I find that I still love my American brands (jeans, cosmetics, etc.). Thus, I love that De Bijenkorf carries Seven for all Mankind jeans, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, etc. In fact, I found some Seven jeans here the other day for 50% off, and the fact that they have an in-store tailor is fabulous! This is now my go-to store for shopping. read more

I don't know if the other reviews are paid for but this one is true, at least my truth! I probably go to Bijenkorf one every 2 weeks because they have a good selection and the store is esthetically pleasing to all the senses. However because it's a high end store I also expect high end service, but I wish that I could even get mediocre service. It's like they know they are premium so I should just be thankful to be allowed inside :S For example I had to spend hours over a long period to get replace my suitcase that had a manufacturing fault and I only succeeded after being really stubborn and pushy and that is so not my style because I'm a very laid back, easy going person. It was physically taxing to deal with them. I just wish that they invest just a fraction of that money that they overcharge us back into training their staff of customer service. #FixBijenkorf read more

Of all the Bijenkorf stores, this is the best one in my opinion. The store is pretty well organised and it's not hard to find whatever you are looking for. I was there on a very busy saturday but I still was able to move around the store without to much hassle. Allot of nice things to look at and eat however I wish the menswear department was a little bigger but I guess that's just the way these kinds of department stores are. There are'nt as much shop in shops like in Amsterdam but to me it's a good thing (I never liked that concept anyway). I was a little disapointed in the perfume department since as far as I could see they were not selling a certain fragrance line that Amsterdam does have (Tom Ford Private Blend). Still had a great time looking around. All and all a great store! read more

Worst shopping experience ever. Tried to buy a new pair of trousers, when the security showed up and accused me to steal something. The searched my bag and everything I had with me - which all was of course empty. However, they still took me to the arrest cell in the basement of shopping mall. In the arrest cell they then literally started to treat me like a s*it. Surrounded by like five securities they shouted at me and accused me to be a well known serial thief and I should confess. This is something one would think only happens in prisons of dictatorships. After some shouting and another embarrassing search, violating again my privacy, they put me in front of the door of the mall without any apology, in fact without any word at all. I tried to contact the costumer desk for some explanations and an apology, but after the first "we will look into this issue" e-mail never heard of them again. I was a real good costumer, spending each year more than 1000€ in this mall, and this is how they a loyal costumer. Still cannot believe what has happened. I can only recommend to everyone NOT to shop at Bijenjorf, something is really wrong with this company. read more
This department store is wicked awesome. Love it! Coming from Sweden, Malmö where our department stores only seems to build on H&M, Vila and so on, it's like heaven (for a shopaholic like myself) when you found yourself in a city with your very own high end brands department store. Don't get me wrong, not that I can afford buying tons of stuff there, but it is nice to be able to try stuff on (in case of a sudden larger sum would arrive at my bank account) instead of just looking at the flat 2D-picture online. And let me tell you as well, the staff is amazing at this place. They really are trained in niceness (and in giving compliments I suspect?) and you feel welcome and at ease being inside these walls. You're not at all greeted with poshness. As for the building and store it self there are a number of different floors in here (as it usually goes) with shoes, accessories and bags on first floor, clothes for women and men on second and third and on forth you can find one of my favorites; interior design. There's also a café/lunchplace on this floor if you need to re-energize. Then there's another floor above this that I'm ashamed to say I've never reached (I get stucked on the forth floor). Enjoy ya'll! read more
