My wife and I have been at "De Haven van Zandvoort" four times now during our holidays. It's something like a routine for us: Walk along the beach and having a coffee at this open place at the beach. We always sat down at the tables for two right at the beach and enjoyed the view.
The staff is very friendly and it never took long until they came over to take our order. We used to try to order in a mix of Dutch and German. I think most of them understand German as well as English (and Dutch of course...)
The coffee (and variations; Latte Macchiato, etc) was good and the apple pie was okay, too. Would have been nice if it had been a little warm to unfold it's full flavours but we didn't ask for it either. There was a small cookie with every coffee (a small round one like those you can buy at a supermarket).
At first it seems a little pricey but it's located right at the beach and at least the apple pie was not small so I guess it's okay.
Only downside is that sometimes they took a little long to take the used dishes off empty tables but overall a nice place to spend some time. read more
