This spot underwent a glow up and a rebrand since the last time we were here and I love it!…read morePreviously you would do your shopping in the big building on the property (where I assume they do a lot of the processing and kept all their equipment, it felt kind of like a "facility" or warehouse of sorts) and it was pretty barebones. And it was fine! Better than fine because the blueberries were so good! I had no complaints. But now they've leveled up. Now it's not just good blueberries but good ambiance as well! They've converted another smaller building next to it as a storefront and it's chock full of blueberry based goodies like jams, jellies, baked goods, dips, mustards, beverages, etc. Way more to choose from! They also sell ice cream and added a play structure to help entertain the kiddos that get a little bored of picking (smart). The day of our visit it was around 100 degrees and humid so I was not up for picking myself. Instead I arrived ready to buy a box of pre-picked fruit in bulk like I had in the past. I walked into the cute new storefront, scanned the shelves, and panicked. There were no boxed berries to be seen! Was this no longer a thing?? U-pick only?? Why God why!? No need to panic, the really lovely woman at the counter explained to me. They just ran out because nobody wanted to pick in the heat (fair) and they had another load of blewbs (just processed and boxed) enroute and arriving at any moment, she just wasn't sure when exactly. Our time in town was limited so we decided we'd come back instead of waiting. She assured me there would be plenty available. And she was right! A couple of hours later we came back to find the coolers absolutely stocked full of 5lb boxes. I was fielding requests from the family back home to bring them some so in the end I bought 20 pounds worth. I also added a blueberry lemon coffee cake for good measure. Great visit! Wonderful changes! Lovely personnelle! And most importantly, the blueberries are still amazing. Next time I just hope it's cooler so I can get an ice cream cone that wasn't going to liquify the moment I stepped outside.

It started to sprinkle rain as we pulled up to park, but that clearly didn't stop people from picking strawberries as we saw a family walk away with baskets and baskets of strawberries. The girl at the U Pick Stand was the sweetest walking us through the different types of baskets to choose from, the cost, and the process before we were set free to pick our berries! There were SO many strawberry fields and so many good juicy strawberries to choose from! My toddler, my husband, and I had a blast even in the rain! My only regret was not picking more because when I finally ate one - it was quite frankly one of the best strawberries I've ever had. On our way back to the car, we noticed the blueberry farm. They looked like they were almost ready for blueberry u-pick season and sure enough, a week later they were open! I wanted to see what they had in their little market, so we pulled up front and I saw they had strawberry donuts for sale! I grabbed half a dozen and both my husband and I devoured one as soon as I got back in the car. The next few days, I air fried them to reheat them and they were EVEN BETTER. So fluffy, airy, and full of strawberries! We can't wait to come back in the future.

Loved this spot! It's a classic Michigan blueberry farm but what sets it above some U-Pick spots to…read moreme is how easy and close everything is. Right when you park, you'll see a large area to buy goodies (pies, cookies, produce), you'll see animals to pet, and then blueberries to pick. We went in late July and the berries were abundant (and delicious). We definitely tried our way through some favorites and then picked entirely too many. We ended up eating most and adding tons to blueberry pancakes over our vacation weekend in South Haven. Can't remember the exact prices but cheaper than I've paid for berries all summer, I know that much. And we ALWAYS have blueberries in the house. Also loved the super sweet blueberry lemon sugar cookie that they had in their shop, and felt welcome by the friendly staff. Lastly, speaking to how close everything is both on the farm and off; this is quite close to downtown South Haven when driving, but still feels way out in the country. It's a perfect combo, IMO, and we'd come back again and again if we lived near here.

When we arrived today we were pretty bummed that bumbleberry changed how they run the farm. We used to be able to give everyone a bucket and then the blueberries would be weighed and we would take them home. Now, be prepared to pay 12 dollars a bucket(you get to keep it). It's not the same experience when you are walking to the fields and the entire family needs to share a single bucket. We also adored the low key barrel ride. I believe it was about 5 dollars a ticket in the past. Now, you must pay 12 dollars per child plus 5 dollars per adult to watch your child play and go on a barrel ride. The petting zoo, bumbleberry chair, tire castle, everything is gated off. We passed and noticed most families did the same. This would have cost our crew 45 dollars for one ride (two toddlers, 4 adults). What was once a quaint family farm now feels off. We will be picking somewhere else next year.

They do have signs for it on the highway, however I would definitely suggest using your GPS as it is out in the country. Pulling into their parking lot, I was not expecting to see the large barns that we did but it looks pretty cool to me so I was excited. I was actually breaking one of Ben's and my rules and that is to not tour new breweries without the other one, but since ciders are mostly for me, he said it was okay for me to go with my family and he wouldn't hold it against me. LOL Inside was pretty cool looking obviously like an old barn revamped. You walk through the area where you can purchase things to go first and then the bar to order is directly in front of you. They do offer flights that are pre-arranged and you can order separate small glasses if you would like to try anything else. I do remember trying something that was not on the flight. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of it, but it was my favorite and of course because it was my favorite, they didn't have it to go. Story of my life. It was a super sunny day that when we were there and they have outdoor seating areas where there are some live animals wandering around and in enclosures. Looks like it could be really relaxing and fun to spend the afternoon at. I will definitely return as I have to show it to Ben so he can experience it as well and try anything new they have created.
