Honestly the worst experience. I'll attach the email o sent to there office. Hi I would like in writing please an explanation of why I paid Lawfirm over $2,000 and never had my bankruptcy completed. I can get the exact amount paid but of memory it was around $2,600. I'm a hard working mom and was unfortunate to have experienced some terrible times with my auto immune illness. This was a life changing illness. So I'm terribly sorry that in the midst of my extreme sickness I didn't think to call to let you know that I was holding off on filing. I knew once I got sick again that I was going to continue to get medical bills so was planning on revisiting filing when I was on better health path. I was in the hospital 3 weeks straight didn't go home. Im honestly still in such shock of the whole situation. I came to your office in search of helping my situation get better. I met with attorney ONE time and that was when I was emotionally distraught over my financial situation and told all the right things. I actually saw a glimmer of hope that the attorney could really help. I signed paperwork that Was very long and wordy and my eyes filled with tears could not even remotely read. Again the attorney assured me she was going over with me everything and it was ok to trust this process. We literally have such little money that to pay for bankruptcy was a very big expense. Never in a million years thinking it would literally be stolen from us. The deal is this my credit score was an 850 all my adult years. I've always been successful and an extremely hard worker. We bought our first home and literally within weeks my husband lost his job. Then I got extremely sick which included so many er trips I lost count. 3 blood transfusions, tons of medications with terrible side effects leaving me unable to work my Photography business for a year. All this resulting in living on credit cards and maxing them all. Then medical bills that were impossible to pay even the minimum on them all. Then my husband had neck surgery but before the surgery a year of trying to live without pain and trying to not have to have surgery. So I tell you all this why? To say this wasn't a family going on vacations, a momma buying coach purses and dad golfing all day. This was not a result of being irresponsible but a result of our unfortunate circumstances. So now please tell me why I paid this lawfirm over $2,000 to meet w The attorney to meet with me one time for 15 minutes and then speaking to you ( secretary ) through email and phone conversations about things you needed me to send to file for me. Me then giving you documentation to file and you letting me know we were missing ONE thing, so we needed that for you to file. In the time from me giving you the paperwork and looking for additional thing needed I ended up in the er again. Where as i said above was there for 3 weeks. So held off to file. I'm just curious how you can do this to someone and feel good about your job? It truly is just very disheartening. The only reason why i rate one star is because this site would not let me post unless I clicked a star. This office deserves NO star! Robin De Leo attorney's office is the worst. If you are looking for a bankruptcy attorney you can find other offices in town. The attorney herself is very nice and professional. The staff, on the other hand are very rude, uncaring and unprofessional. Once you become a client you never speak to the attorney it's always one of the paralegals that have a very crass demeanour. Furthermore, after retaining counsel I had to do a lot of research on my own for the sake of my own case and knowledge. Having been a client; my advice is to find another attorney in Mandeville or Covington. Going through bankruptcy is very stressful and as a client one should feel like the attorney you retain will work for you, with the best intentions in mind. This office will offer nothing but questions, concerns, dissatisfaction, uneasiness and many many doubts. read more
