I never agreed until I actually went to one as an adult), but we were allowed to go the Linnaeushof, and by our early teens we were riding our bikes 30 minutes to go hang out here. The Linnaeushof has equipment for kids of all ages, ranging from a simple play area for toddlers, to go-karts, an indoor playground, huge slides, a small waterpark, and really cool chairlifts that took you for a ride across the lake, which you could also explore by paddle boat! At the heart of the playground stands a restaurant, though perhaps snackbar would be a better term. Basic french fries, kroketten, etc., and ice cream. Nothing special, but it's perfect for kids parties and long playground days.

It's a true European holiday park, where they give you the cabin, a fully-equipped kitchen with a microwave/oven and refrigerator, kitchen utensils...and not much else unless you get a better package. First time I stayed here, I didn't get the VIP cottage and quickly learned that there weren't even towels or toiletries at all. Quite the welcome. Since then, I've always made sure to get a VIP cottage. At least that guarantees you towels. But it also includes a sauna and hot tub, which is pretty nice. It also gets you bread in the morning. They make their bread fresh every morning, so I'm guessing that it comes from that. And yeah, don't expect A/C. The upstairs bedrooms can get very hot in the summer. They do have a center which has a grocery store, restaurant, and other activities. Not that I ever do any of the activities. But the idea of the holiday park is that you never have to leave it if you don't want to. Also note that this is very close to Circuit Zandvoort, so don't be surprised if you hear very loud cars if you are trying to sleep. The only reason I ever stay here is that it is generally the cheapest option for a group when compared to the hotels and Airbnbs in the area. Not ideal, but it serves its purpose.

I…read morefound a lot of stains on the mattresses and the rooms are small, but you pay a fairly decent price and are able to accommodate up to 8 people. Bonus is that there is a grocery store on the complex and you can also rent bikes here as well. Make sure you bring your own towel, or you can buy a thin one from them for a few euros. I'd come here again for convenience, though I do feel like the quality/cleanliness at the Airbnbs/hotels are probably better.
