Homebase is a huge DIY type store it sells all sorts og things like lawn mowers, strimmers, bathrooms, flooring, paint, tiles, gardening stuff , plants, sheds etc. Homebase is a bit more expensive (generally) that other DIY shops. The store is organised into section and rows to make it easy to find things. There are lots of different types of trolleys depending on what you intend to buy. I prefer Homebase for lots of reasons. firstly it is clean tidy well lit and organised.l secondly they have toilets which are great when you have young kids that are after an excuse to leave when they are bored!! Homebase at frome has plenty of parking and in my experiance the staff are very helpful. They also run a points system where you can get point on your purchases and then use them to get money off in the future.

We hired IH Flooring to install the luxury Amtico Signature range throughout our home, expecting…read morehigh-quality workmanship to match the premium product. Unfortunately, the installation did not meet our expectations. The installer used a cutter directly on the flooring without proper measurements, leaving visible surface scratches -- especially noticeable in sunlight. Within three months, bubbles began forming on the ground floor. On the first floor, the installation creaks in several areas. We believe this is due to poor nailing of the plywood underfloor they installed during prep. Though IH Flooring attempted a repair, new bubbles reappeared shortly after, the creakins has worsened and screw-heads bumps become visibile on the floor. Regrettably, despite the Amtico quality itself, we're very disappointed with the installation. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend IH Flooring at all.

A family run business with fifty years of experience tucked under their belts they offer a wide range of services to provide you with your ideal carpet. Masquerading as a quality retailer, but really just a money grabbing outfit…read more Awful customer service....over estimated quantity required by a significant amount and then refused take back surplus. .......said it was our fault even though they were responsible for measurement, supply and installation - unbelievable!!. Owner then tried to blame my wife even though he was not party to the discussions when we were offered an alternative tile layout ( we went for a running pattern rather then the brickbond/ 1/3 bond pattern - which was offered to us by the installer) - left us with around £500/600 surplus tiles. The only positive out of this experience was the tiler - who was superb - and fortunately a third party contractor of this business and someone who I would recommend - polite, courteous and professional - everything this business is not. The owners attempt at reconciliation for his mistake ( he was the one who came around and measured them) was that we deliver them back to his over priced little tile shop and he would resell them for us). His excuse for not taking them back - he had no room. The sooner business like this go bust the better for consumers.

I have to say that I would still rather go to Cabot Circus rather than Cabot Carpets however, if you do need a carpet at least at Cabot Carpets you'll find a huge showroom and may find what you're looking for without having to go and compare in lots of other shops. A man from CC's came and measured up our office space, and rather than try and sell us a more expensive carpet, pointed us in the direction of an equally good cheaper one - it's a shame not all salesman aren't like that!

The owner was amazing though, talked me through how it all works and came round and measured our house and priced up for several carpet types in each room. The only problem was that we couldn't have any samples left behind to umm and ahh over until we made a decision. We didn't get anything fitted by them, not because we didn't trust their business, but just because we found something elsewhere we preferred.
