Deanna was the best decision we could have made for our wedding journey. We fell in love with her work before we even had the chance to fall in love with her. The way she captures true emotions is an indescribable art. She brings you in, making you feel comfortable and walks you through every motion if you need it. I really could not have picked a better photographer. Deanna was up front from the beginning. On the day of my wedding, I just left it in her hands to get the right shots because I was so overwhelmed. After I saw the pictures, I realized just how talented she is. We didn't have that much time to get the right shots, and Deanna was right there to make sure all of the important pictures were taken. Also, after we had taken a lot of shots of the wedding party, she had a digital photo frame set up on the placecard table with shots of us during the reception. I thought this was a great touch because people could see just how awesome the pictures were. There were also cards there with our engagement photo on them so people could find the pictures later. This saved me the time and hassle with providing the information to everyone. Deanna always walked me through every concern that I had, and called me back within minutes. SHE KNOWS HER STUFF. Deanna did our wedding in August and shot at multiple locations, My parents house, Hotel Los Gatos, St. Josephs Basillica, and Byington Winery. A lot of places to get around in one day, but she rocked it. She met with us before we hired her, and she has an awesome studio in Campbell, with lots of her work all over the wall. Once we met her, we knew that we wanted her to shoot the wedding. Once we signed the contract, she included a engagement session where we did it at Villa Montalvo. It was super fun, she makes you feel really relaxed, and she knows what looks good. We also got a small album with all the photos, which was super cute! She is good with Email and phone, normally if it is an extended answer she will just call you back. Which is one thing I had a problem with (most of the time I was at work, and then you don't have the email correspondance as a record) She started out meeting me at the my parents house and did all the getting ready photos with me and my bridesmaids. She just took charge walked through the house, and found good places too take photos. She had limited time with the boys, since she spent a while with us (mostly since we weren't ready) But the boys didn't care! When we were at the church (which has a ton of rules where you can and cannot photos) She was almost invisible, got great shots of the church, amazing! Let me just say going to many weddings, where photographers are overweight, not properly dressed, and unattractive. Deanna looked like she fit in perfectly, most people thought she was just a guest at the wedding. Also she knows how to take charge, there were 15 people trying to get shots of our group, and she politely asked them to stop while she gets her shot. She knows Byington so well, our "romantic" shots turned out so well. After the wedding process, the wedding photos were on her website already the next Wednesday. She sends a proof book (nice to see things printed) Our wedding albums, we made 3 turned out WONDERFUL (2 for our parents and 1 for us) She even sent us a Christmas card! I couldn't have imagined using anyone else, while her cost is not cheap, I think she is worth every dollar. I will be keeping her in mind later in life and for my friends! read more

My Fiancé and I met with Deanna about 2 months ago, and we booked her for our wedding within 24 hours. To be honest I was hesitant to start looking into photographers because thinking about how awkward it would be to have a stranger follow us around for our wedding is extremely intimidating for my shy Fiancé and I. My husband and I are not comfortable in front of a camera so finding a photographer that we connected with for our engagement and wedding photos was important. We needed someone that made us feel relaxed but at the same time could capture the emotions of the day. That woman is Deanna. We instantly connected with her, so much so that we cancelled our interviews with other photographers the moment we met her. She was welcoming and sold her work in a way that wasn't pushy. When starting out the wedding planning process, I wanted to make sure I tackled the things most important to me first. I really wanted to make sure that I connected with my photographer, he/she understood my style, and had the same ideas about how the wedding day would flow. As soon as I booked my venue, I started to search for my photographer. I came across Deanna's website and set up an initial phone meeting. Deanna blew me away with her professionalism, experience, and passion about what she does. As we talked about her style and how the day would go, she had me in tears imaging how magical my wedding day would be. The emotional connection Deanna made just from the initial phone call ultimately led me to choosing her for my photographer. Before our engagement session, my fiance and I were a little skeptical about how well we would do in front of the camera. We were worried about getting personal in front of someone we didn't know too well. Deanna ensured us not to worry and that we would just spend the day doing what we normally do and the magic would happen. We chose Sonoma for our engagement shoot and the day was more than I could've expected. We had so much fun hanging out in the square and visiting a few of our favorite wineries. Deanna even went off script and found us some awesome spots along side the road in a field where we captured some amazing pictures. Deanna made us feel so comfortable which really shows in the pictures she took. At the end of the shoot we just felt like we had spent the day in wine country together rather than taking pictures. It was such a fun day! As we neared our wedding day, I was very concerned with the timeline of my day. So much planning goes into the day and I wanted to make sure I could actually enjoy it. I had Deanna work with me on a timeline to ensure all (or most) of the pictures could be taken prior to the ceremony. We added in buffers in case we got off track and time for a little down time before the ceremony. Deanna was available through the whole process to answer any questions I had and almost doubled as a wedding coordinator. The day of the wedding was perfect. We were so on schedule that we had time to add in photos we didn't even plan on. Deanna is so creative and really just flows with the mood of the day. She makes everyone feel comfortable and does such a great job capturing the candid pictures that show the true emotion of the day. After the ceremony she took my husband and I out into the vineyards for a short photo shoot as newly husband and wife. This was such a special moment to take a moment after the ceremony before entering the craziness of the reception. I truly credit a large part of the success of my wedding day to Deanna. You spend so much time with a photographer, you wouldn't want to hire someone you don't love. I absolutely LOVE Deanna and would recommend her to anyone. She is so passionate and the pictures speak for themselves. Deanna recently shot our engagement shoot. Both of us knew when we met her at her studio that she was perfect for us. She is calm, comfortable, experienced, and flexible which makes this potentially awkward photo shoot effortless. We were able to do a few outfit changes and bring our props- we told her our vision (we had some creative ideas) and she was all for it and helped us stage it so we didn't look like fools. She also was reachable for advice on what to wear, etc and gives honest opinions. She is also very aware of hair flyaways, unbuttoned shirts, arm angles etc. and that made for even better photos. Her turn around time is UNHEARD of. We shot on a Saturday late afternoon and were given the edited photos by Friday morning! They look fantastic and everyone is raving about them. My mother who is also hard to please kept saying, "She is so talented. Wow." We are excited to book her to shoot our wedding! I highly recommend doing an engagement shoot with her if you want to capture your real personalities. Deanna took good photos at our wedding a few years ago. No issues with the quality of her work. However she was late at delivering the photos when they were promised. Three different times and it took her almost about 4 months to get our wedding pictures back. She was a little short in her conversations, but it didn't bother me. I think we paid too much for what we got. read more
