Debbie is a lifesaver. When we moved to Seattle our dog Olive experienced severe separation anxiety any time we left her alone in our apartment. My husband and I couldn't even go out to dinner with out coming home to a screaming and very distressed dog. Dog daycare was not an option because they had to test the dog without the owner present - which was a huge deal breaker for our dog. As soon as I left the room she lost it. Then I found Debbie through some recommendations. Debbie not only understood our concerns and constraints but she willingly worked with us to make our dog feel comfortable on her own terms, which meant Debbie coming to our apartment to meet our dog, then us going to Debbie's house to have an introduction to her dogs. And then a few random meetings out on the street or at the dog park with me there. Now our dog Olive willingly and happily follows Debbie anywhere! It's wonderful to know that if we leave on a weekend getaway or have guests in town that require us to be gone all day or late into the evening, we can count on Debbie to care for our dog and that Olive feels happy and safe in her home. I think Olive may like spending time at Debbie's house with her dogs and family more than she does with us sometimes! ;) So in short, Debbie is not just a dog walker, she's a dog lover who treats your dog as if it were her own. Debbie is fantastic wth dogs! She has been taking our golden doodle to the park for off leash play time while we're at work for almost a year now. It is wonderful to know that she can come pick him up and drop him off when we're not at home. She is very organized, easy to communicate with, flexible and responsible. I've been at the park when she is there with the pack and have been so impressed with her control of each member. She engaged the dogs that like to fetch, keeps an eye on the ones that like to wrestle or chase and easily gets their attention to regroup. Debbie even washes our dog off if he gets muddy at the park! She takes her job very seriously and is simply a wonderful easy person to work with. Ace, my old German short-haired pointer, and I are so lucky to have Debbie in our lives. Ace joins the morning pack which heads to the Golden Gardens dog park each day, and he stays in Debbie's home when we're out of town. I can't say enough about Debbie. She is a delightful person, professional, punctual, responsible, flexible, accommodating and personable. But that's just me. It's my pup who says it all! She has been extremely patient and understanding when our pup was having some behavior problems, and she found a solution that worked for her, us, and our dog. Debbie has been so great with our dog, Ocalla, through all of Ocalla's ups and downs. There have been periods when Debbie had Ocalla over at her house every day (during a remodel), times when she has taken her on dog park trips, times when Ocalla got scared at the dog park and would only go on walks, and that time when Ocalla had to go to the vet. Jackpot! Debbie has been taking care of my 70lb+ Labradoodle when I head out out of town & it's been such a relief knowing that he doesn't have to stay indoors for the days/weeks I'm gone.
