Went to this place with my daughter she wanted brown hair with blonde highlights and a layered haircut....simple right. Now the hairdresser Debbie was rude, she always had to express her opinion and said she couldn't do certain things to my child's hair.... Why be a hairdresser if you can't do certain services, anyways. She butchered my child's hair layering, and the blonde highlights came out different colors all over her hair. It look like she had tiger stripes at the top of her head. She also didn't do the highlights to her scalp at some places and there's many spots. It was $120 for a very butcher job. I went to Lura. She was AMAZING! She has over 20 years experience and it shows. She took the time to listen to what I had to say. I have Red hair, which is hard to match but she did the root touch up perfectly. Overall, is was just Gorgeous. She trimmed up the ends and have new life back in my hair. I have patronized this business for a number of years. I have never had a bad experience with Debbie doing my hair. She always does exactly what I want her to do. Recently I moved to Bogart GA which is a long way to travel just to get your hair done even if you do have a good hairdresser. However, my plans were to continue to come back to Toccoa every 4-5 weeks to get my hair done by my friend, Debbie and just hang out with some of my Toccoa buddies. But as fate would have it or I really should say as God would have it I was forced to make a very necessary change in my plans. My husband has been through a lot of health issues but is now suffering from dementia so I am a 24/7 caregiver and anyone that has ever experienced this knows you have to be flexible to take care of someone with dementia. I had an appointment with Debbie on the 21st at 2 o'clock and had something to arise that morning that threw me behind so long story short Debbie was not able to work with me and let me come in at 2:30 which force me to make a change BUT GOD and I will say that again, BUT GOD already had another plan for my life. I received a card in the mail that was post marked on the 21st the day that I had the appointment with Debbie and it was from a hairdresser 15 minutes away. Her name is Courtney and she had sent out a notice to all of her customers to inform them that she was changing her hours of operation and I received one of these notifications !!!! Go Figure!!! I have never heard of her before and so I called her and told her this must be a God thing since I don't know her snd she don't know me. I asked her how she got my name and address and she said she don't know!!! So AIN'T God good??? I have an appointment with her coming up soon and we just know this is exactly something that God has planned for both of us. A new friendship and relationship just waiting to happen!!! God goes before us and makes the crooked paths straight and He always has a ram in the Thicket just had to share this because God cares about us so much that He numbers the hairs on our head and I'm sure He also cares about what color they are! Debbie is a good friend and has been a good friend for a number of years and does great work and I will miss her dearly. God bless take care. just felt like I needed to share this with everyone!!!
