Great service! Whenever I bring my dog to Debbie's, she comes back looking great! She is a small Maltipoo with very coily hair. They handle her coat well and she comes back super fluffy. They are also sure to trim her feet and ears, giving her a cute doll-like look. When my dog developed some skin sensitivities, Debbie's was very accommodating and adjusted her shampoos and scents. This allowed my dog to still be groomed without itchy or irritated skin! They always finish the groom with either a seasonal bandana or bow which is super cute. Unfortunately, there have been a few times where they have nicked a small bump my dog has on her back which has bled but it was never something super concerning. Sometimes they leave some dark lick stains around the mouth and feet but I understand it's hard to get out with a white dog. But overall, she comes back whiter and fluffier than I could ever imagine! Even when busy, they always finish the grooming within just a few hours. They call the number you provide at drop-off and let you know what time they plan to close for the day. The staff members are very personable and friendly. The business seems very sanitary and I have confidence in its cleanliness. I will definitely keep bringing my dog here! read more

If you're looking for a great pet groomer, Debbie's is great. Unfortunately, they are so good they have a waiting list if you are not currently a reoccurring client. Debbie's is easy to find as it is an old house and it is painted bright yellow. The staff is always friendly and happy. Our dog does not enjoy the groomers, but the staff are always so great with her. The groomers always do a great job clipping our dog's hair and nails. She always comes back so soft and smelling fresh. We have a small dog that is roughly 10 pounds. I think their prices are pretty fair. It was $45 to get her hair/nails trimmed and a bath. Debbie's is the go to groomer if you're located in the Ripon area. read more

Accidentally scheduled an appointment with the Debbie's groomer in Turlock, but they were so kind there and made time in their schedule to get my puppy in. I don't have any experience with other groomers, but felt very comfortable at their establishment. They were very kind, attentive and welcoming. They also did an absolutely wonderful job on my pup. She's a miniature schnauzer and we did one length everywhere and did a schnauzer face and my spouse and I haven't stopped gushing about how much we love her cut since I brought her home yesterday. Staff is upbeat and definitely appear to enjoy their jobs. I have an older male shepherd mix, who is friendly yet anxious; so anxious that he trembles when he gets bathed. I shared this with the staff and they spoke to my boy so kindly and gently that he trotted away with them with not a care in the world. A few hours later I came to pick him up from his spa day, and he seemed to look younger! He was smiling, his shedding had stopped, and his fur was sweet-smelling and snuggly soft. My puppy-love was transformed and he knew it! The price for such a transformation could've been much higher, and still worth it. It was the first time when I took my fur babies. I thought it was weird that they didn't ask for my fur babies' names or my name. Also, they didn't ask for my phone number until I offered to. When I called to ask if it was time to pick up my babies, it took them forever to figure out which ones were my babies. When I picked them up I could tell right away that my fur babies were not groomed, though they claimed they did. Furrs & nails were still long! What kind of business are you running into? I just decided to stop coming here because of how disrespectful the employees are there. I called to tell them how I wasn't satisfied with my dogs haircut after they kept her for 6 hours, and on the phone they were mocking me and mimicking me. And also making fun of my mom who "has broken English" when she speaks perfect English. They were not apologetic or reassuring at all. In fact they didn't care that I felt disrespected or dissatisfied. And before this visit, they cut my dog during a haircut. So, don't come here. This place is horrible. read more

All of my dogs for the past 30 years I have gone there every Friday for grooming. Not one of them have ever been scared or upset when they get there. I have two dogs now and every Friday they go and get pampered by these wonderful ladies. They take extra special care of my 13 year old Maltese who is fearful of the blow dryer so they let her air dry and brush her out to make her feel more comfortable. They love our pets just as much as we love our pets. I am so glad that they are here in Ripon and I have absolutely loved taking my dogs there. read more

I am a long time resident here in Ripon . And I really have to put this out there to everyone that goes to this awful cold hearted grooming hellish dungeon for our precious animals. Not only the women I saw grooming someone's small cute little dog at 11am today ,with so much hurried force that the small animal was totally afraid and uncomfortable experiencing that women. I wish I got her name. But if your reading this I will give you such an embarrassing mouth full if I ever seen you out in public in our town. 3rd time my dogs nails bled because of being in a hurry. We have been taking both of our yorkies to debbies for years now and have been incredibly unsatisfied with our past few visits. Debbie's groomers have kept our dogs for over 5 hours without any food, what kind of service is this? We have told Debbie many times that we do NOT want our dogs there for so long. My dogs do not need to be in the groomers for over 5 hours when they're tiny dogs, it's animal cruelty to keep dogs in cages for so long without their food. Also we've noticed that our dogs are always depressed when they come back from their grooming visits which just makes us wonder how they're treating them when they are there. I took my Komondor here for the first time hoping to find a competent groomer that would know about the breed. Before going I called ahead to inform them of his breed and was assured they could handle him. To my dismay they didn't recognize his traditional coat and told me his body was covered in mats. If she did know the breed she would know they are called cords and are similar to mats but protect his body. She then lectured me about how bad it is for his skin in this climate and tried to give me advice about how to better care for him. I was just wanting to get his nails trimmed, the hair between his paws cleared out as it is a problem with his breed and his ears cleaned out. Now he won't stop scratching and shaking out his fur, it's obvious he did not like his visit. Maybe they're better with smaller and more normal breeds but if you have an uncommon or large breed don't go here. read more

After many years of taking my beloved dogs to Debbie's in Ripon, we will no longer be using her services. The quality of service we have received has declined with our last several visits. This last visit was the absolute worst. After dropping my two med/lg breed dogs off for bathing/defleaing/grooming at 8:45 a.m. imagine our disappoint when arriving to pick them up at 5pm they hadn't been groomed. My pets had been caged for more than 8 hours!. We were asked to wait while they took our dogs out of their pens and started their grooming. Within 20 minutes both dogs were "groomed". Neither of the dogs received the quality grooming they deserved or what we paid for. One dog had several "scalped" marks to the bare skin. This dog being black in color the scalping is sorely obvious. The other was clipped with scissors and looked "laughable" when completed. Both dogs' nails weren't trimmed and their facial whiskers (which we repeatedly asked to be cut) were never touched. Where ribbons, bows, and scarf were the norm when we left in the past all we got shown was "the door" when we left this visit. Sorry guys, but this is one customer who won't be returning and we don't encourage any one else to take their pet in too! read more

We have been taking Peaches and Bella for years. While a few issues here and there have occurred, they have always been more than helpful in fixing the issue. For the people that were upset that their dogs were not groomed by 5 PM, you showed up without being called, and I am betting you also did not let them know what time you would like your pets done at. They handle a lot of pets on a daily basis, and if you don't specify what time you want them done at, they will be done last. If you want them done at a specific time, just ask. Having a standing appointment every other week works great for us. They are much more affordable than other places, and I trust them with our dog. Is your dog going to get razor burn every once in awhile, yeah probably. But you try shaving a dog or cat and see how successful you are. There is a reason why you are paying a groomer to clean your pet. Accidents happen, especially when it comes to animals who don't understand why this load clipper is touching them. Also, and probably most importantly, they don't turn away dogs based on their breed. We took our chow mix here for years before he passed, and they were the only place that would see him. Not that he was mean, but because he was part chow no groomer would see him. Thanks for all your help Debbie and Staff! We love you. read more

Love them!! Debbie and her employees love their clients, and that's as important as a good cut in my book. They're always excited to see my little guy, and I know he's in good hands. Debbie's takes pride in how the 'kids' look when they leave, which is evidenced by the 'oh, how adorable!' comments we receive as my little pooch prances down the sidewalk to the car when he's done! I moved a few years ago and decided to try another salon for convenience, and after a two months, I went right back to Debbie's. I have to agree that there has been a time or two I wasn't completely happy with the cut (didn't take enough off...that's an easy fix! And hey, I've been known to go back to MY hairdresser for a tweak here and there!) but nothing even close to CH's experience. And as for CD's review about the time? Tell them you need to pick your pet up at a certain time and they'll prioritize; they're very accomodating. For those looking for a groomer for their pet, don't let that review cloud your judgement. It's very unfortunate, but in my experience, this is an exception. You want a bad cut, try PetSmart. Yikes. read more
