Songs were repeated multiple times throughout the night, and at one point the family had to step in and fix the situation themselves. We literally had to go get an AUX cord and use the mother of the bride's personal cell phone just so guests could hear decent music and keep the reception going. A wedding DJ should come fully prepared and professional, especially after confirming details several times beforehand. Instead, we were left scrambling during what should have been a special and stress-free event. I would strongly recommend staying away from DJ CONNECTIONS if you want your event handled professionally. They completely dropped the ball and put unnecessary stress on our family during my daughter's wedding day.

We called a few listed and most were somewhat rude stating they needed advance notice or wanted to charge twice as much for the wedding. We got a hold of Steve Weller at Kahuna Sound and he referred us to his partner who was extremely helpful and even helped us plan the music, lights and entire sound system with microphone for the wedding toast. At the reception they were very professional, arrived early and setup, let us provide some of our music and took requests from guest (sober and not so sober) throughout the night. The sound system was good, the lighting was perfect and the DJ helped make the evening a success. I recommend Kahuna Sound for any event, wedding or DJ need since they were professional, affordable, honest and exceeded our expectations.

My Husband and I hired Tim to be out DJ/Photographer for our wedding , when i talked to Tim back in…read moremarch i told him that my husband and i are not party people at all and that we didn't want anything to loud , i also informed him that we didn't want any rap at our wedding at all since my husband does not like rap AT ALL !! we hired him to take pictures and be our DJ from 11AM to 7 PM. The week before our wedding i could not get a hold of him for anything !! after several attempts of calling/texting him he finally called me the night before our wedding to tell me that he would be leaving Kansas around 6AM and would be in the Ozarks by 10 at the latest, that next morning while my Bridesmaids and I were getting ready i got a text from him saying that he was going to be 30 minuets late for pictures which were supposed to start at 11 and i figured an hour for pictures would be fine but he didn't end up showing up till 12:30!!! we got maybe 10-15 pictures at the bridges where i originally wanted to get all my pictures at , we ended up having to wait till after the ceremony to finish all the pictures up at the church ...... which i was trying to avoid so that we could spent time with my family who traveled so far to join us on our special day which some of them ended up leaving shortly after we were done with our pictures, after the wedding i was later told by one of my bridesmaids that the photographer wasn't even going to take pictures of our first dance till my aunt who was also my bridesmaid mentioned that we would want pictures of our First dance, after the wedding i had my father talk to him abut him being late and he took off a small amount for that, and we were also told that he would expedite out pictures for us and have some of them for us that next weekend , i didn't see any pictures till September 25th , by that time i would have thought that i would have a least seen the raw pictures but we hadn't seen anything!! Before he sent us some of our pictures on the 25th the day before i had tired to text him to ask when we would get any of our pictures. I was told and I quote " Dakkota, would you like a rushed job? I wont put out less than quality products because i want my brides to have the best" end quote when i got the pictures the nest day i was looking through them and every picture is blurry and unfocused and I cant use a single picture I've gotten so far, on the contract it states that I would have my pictures Raw/Edits/DVD within 21 days it has been almost 2 months since my wedding and i have only gotten some of my pictures. As for Tim being our DJ he did play rap like we asked him not to he didn't play all the songs we wanted him too for the intro we wanted Bruno Mars- Marry Me but he played a song by Micheal Jackson, i don't have a problem with him but Tim didn't even consult me before changing the song on us,when it was time for the Father/Daughter Dance He ended up not being able to even find the song i wanted and it took him 20 minuets to find it,the music after the dinner was so loud we could barley even hear ourselves think. i ended up leaving with a bad headache that night. when Tim and his Assistant showed up that morning neither of them looked professional at all , he showed up in baggy shorts and a lose t-shirt and she was wearing Leggings that looked like denim with a t-shirt , now we didn't have a big fancy wedding but it wasn't exactly casual either. Tim is also almost impossible to get a hold of , we have been trying to contact him for weeks now about the pictures and i have barley heard a peep out of him ... and the only time i got a hold of anyone it was his secretary and i had called his cell phone and he was forwarding his calls to his office , Both my mother and Father have tried to get a hold of him and we haven't heard a peep, when my Mother tried to call she said that she got to talk to him for about a second and the the call got "dropped" and when she tried to call again it went straight to voicemail, his inbox is almost always full so you can never leave a message and trying to text him is nearly impossible and when you do finally get a hold of him its either several hours after you called/texted or its a couple days afterwards. I will not be using R2R entertainment for anything ever again, My husband and I are quite upset with how he has handled things and i think someone who id thinking about hiring him should look around to see if you can fund someone that will do the job right and the way you want it .

We used Capture the Moment KC at our wedding reception. It was a blast!…read more - The staff was great to work with - very responsive either via email or phone. - The photo booth is a great size. We fit 8 people at one time - It was definitely snug! - They customize the bottom of the photo strips to be any colors, fonts, little heart designs if you want. We practically got our own logo made. - Optional "guestbook" for the event where a copy of each series of photos is put in a book for guests to sign. (guests also get a copy) - Plenty of props come with the booth. Funny hats, pirate swords, a giant beer pillow thing. - Guests waiting in line get to see what's going on in the booth via a live stream to a laptop. It helped the line not seem quite so long at our reception. I have one qualm. We only had them set up for 2 hours, and of course me being the bride I was running around for a good chunk of it. They started to close up shop exactly at the 2-hour mark, which happened to be when my 4-year-old niece and I were headed their way. They Did Not make an exception for us. I realize their time is just as important and "I get what I pay for," but - no exceptions? Not even for the bride and her (adorable!) niece? Sad face. When I tried to use the equipment at 5:30, the iPad was at 17% and she did not leave a charger or cord. It was an older iPad so someone had to leave and purchase a lightening cable. In addition the TV screens I had paid extra for were asleep and she did not leave a remote to turn them on. So they were unusable. She told me it would be $55 for her to drive out and deliver the remotes (they should have been left in the first place). We went to the store to get a universal remote, tried downloading the Roku app at her suggestion - the TVs failed to work. Paid the up charge for the TV screen to sing a long for no reason. At about 7:45, we finally bypassed the TVs and used the iPad with a speaker - the speaker did not play music at any discernible level so it was just kids singing into a mic on an iPad. As all my guests said it would have better to just buy equipment at Costco. And she will not refund me my money for this debacle. UPDATE: The company tries to blame the weather when it is their fault they forgot to leave remote controls to restart the equipment and a charger for the iPad. And wanted to charge me to deliver the remotes and iPad charger that they forgot to leave. It is absolutely ridiculous. Also your records are wrong the TV screens never worked. I have 75 witnesses if you need support for this claim. I asked to proof of their multiple attempts to reach out after the event, as I never heard from them (other than to confirm pick up). It is so disappointing that they continue to make up things.

They arrived early and set up quickly. They forgot a bar for the backdrop and left to go pick it up. It was about an hour into the party when they arrived back but they let us keep the booth longer for the inconvenience. It didn't help us since the event ended at the same time regardless of whether we had the booth or not. It was a very nice gesture though. They also offered 10% off the next event because the boomerangs had someone else's overlay on them that they couldn't remove, unfortunately. A zip drive was hand-delivered with all the photos from the event within two days.
