It is a good sized clothes shop that sells really lovely fashionable women's clothes and I always think that they look really classy too. The shop looks like it will be expensive as it has an expensive look to it, but really the clothes are not too dear at all. They are a bit more expensive than places like New Look, but on the whole I think the clothes are good quality and affordable. The store has a really nice layout to it and the clothes are often displayed in a colour coded fashion so if you are looking for a red top, all the red tops would be in one place. It gives the store a great look to it and is easy for customers to find what they are looking for. There are plenty of changing rooms and the staff are helpful in this store too.

This store I believe is good value for money, yes it does sometimes seem a little pricey like a pair of black trousers will cost you £30 but then they do last a long time, so its values for money. The store is pretty big inside and has plenty of room if there is a sudden rush of customers, there are also plenty of changing rooms and someone is always manning them so there is help there if you need it. They sell dresses, trousers, smart tops, casual tops, skirts, shoes and accessories.

They sell a wide range of women's clothes and compared to the Topshop above I would say that it is aimed to slightly younger girls/ladies and their clothes are certainly more 'dressey'. Everything is reasonably priced to quite expensive, but I have never had anything of bad wuality from there. Staff are nice and helpful and it is nice to be able to wander into topshop with your shopping. Worth a visit.

If i find an item i like, i find it impossible to find my size. It seems that the staff have been told by their managers that NOTHING can be put in the stock room, so it is ALL crammed out. Looking for a particular size is HARD because you can barely move the items without throwing them on the floor first. I fail to understand why a store would possibly need 12 size 8's out on the shop floor at one time. What happened to stock rotation and replenishment? There is a bell on the desk to make yourself known when you are waiting and there is nobody at the till. When i worked in retail, you would NEVER leave the till unattended. Big fail. One time i was stood at the till for a while longer than expected, and people behind be began to put their items down and leave. I had rung the bell several times, and a member of staff looked at me as if i was asking the world just to be served. I only shop in this store if there is something i really, really want. Its not a pleasurable experience for me.

The staff on the tills are always helpful and friendly - they are willing to order you something in if they don't have the size you are after in stock. Parking is free and just outside.

There is plenty of space between the aisles, yet they have a lot more stock. It's very easy to navigate by buggy, since you can get between the rows easily, and there is a lift if you need anything upstairs. James has a great deal of furniture on his ebay store too, showin g his nous by vending bulkier items through an alternative medium. Andrea makes 'cushions for animal owners in the image of their beloved pet' and makes look-a-like dolls too for humans! Both are created from a photo supplied by the client. The emphasis in this store is on quality high-end pieces. Having said that there are some delights in here that won't break the bank.

It is also worth noting that this shop sells off sample items, so you can purchase bags and shoes that you are very unlikely to see on anyone else. The stock is organised both by size (shoes) and by colour, (bags, shoes and a limited stock of clothes). It is easy to narrow down the selection if you are searching for items for a special occasion. Don't be put off coming in here if you have large or wide feet; my feet are frog shaped, and I have still been able to buy some lovely summer shoes here (although the boots are far too narrow for me).

There are two shopping centres in Northampton, and this is the larger of them. I say sort of because the car parking there is a nightmare it's kind of split between two different sections and is really confusing if you don't know what you're doing. The shops are well to be honest a bit ordinary, all the places you'd expect to find and very little else boots, smiths, various clothes shops etc. The sort of places you find on most highstreets anywhere. There's nothing to make the place stand out. The market outside the doors is more interesting and now they're talking of removing most of that so poor old Northampton will loose half their market for some giant viewing screen or some nonsense.

The Grosvenor Centre is situated right in the heart of Northampton and is directly connected to the…read morebus station. As a shopping centre, it isn't a bad place to go with a lot of the big named shops being situated there. The main problem with the centre is the lack of originality with the range of shops on offer, but this is starting to become the case with most shopping centres now and it's rare to find an original gem of a shop on a high street or shopping centre. When you leave the centre this also takes you either right on to the market square or on to the main shopping high street. Unfortunately, it could do with a bit of an upgrade as far as the decor is concerned as it does look somewhat out-dated, which does let it down quite badly.
