This Debenhams used to stock a very good range of clothes, but their buyers seem to have let their standards slip and it has been ages since I found anything I really like in this shop. There seems to be a constant sale on at the moment where you can pick up some bargains for work wear but shoes and hand bags remain quite expensive. There's only limited choice in the home department and their stock policy doesn't seem completely effective when trying to check with the staff if something is in stock or not. Still, the staff are always helpful and chatty. read more

My favourite department store in Meadowhall - the home wear department is very good, and they have some fantastic sales so look out for some good bargains! They have all the different departments you would expect, and the staff have always been really helpful - even helping me get a massive mirror into my car last year which was very much appreciated! read more

Debenhams is a rather boring shop with a range of generally boring and unispiring gifts and clothes. However, with the onset of the ever looming 'credit crunch' Debenams have upped their game to provide some very good bargains. I found that the menswear department offers great bargains on pretty good quality suits. However, whilst the lady on the department was friendy and quite helpful, the checkout staff seemed to know nothing about how to put the offers throught the till. I found them frustrating, but luckily I wasn't in a hurry. read more

This is very much like House of Fraser, with the clothig and accessories, houseware, travel stuff etc, again they also sell designerwear, but they are more designer names than the desginer brands. It is near the newly located near the topshop/man, theres an upstairs and dowhstairs to debenhams, it is really big, but i think the one in town is bigger as it has more levels than this one in meadowhall. The staff are really helpful, if youget stuck i always ask. read more

This store is huge! Has everything you need in one place. There are lots of designer names to be had here. There are often a lot of bargains in the mens department! Staff are really friendly and are willing to give a helping hand. read more

I love this store. The range of women's clothing is excellent, and their designers at Debenhams stuff is great value for some well made and designed clothes. The new restaurant downstairs is also good, with great freshly-made sandwiches. Debenhams is also the only place you can buy Mac make up in Meadowhall. read more

This is the best thing that could have happened to witney. The store is of a good size not as big as oxford centre but enough in it to cater all departments, a good selection of perfumes and aftershaves.They also have plenty of space so you don't feel claustraphobic. They do all of the events too, so you can get some good deals. Use it a lot never go into town now. read more

Had purchased a dress online in June for a wedding, at last min the wedding was cancelled and I telephoned the customer services department to ask on procedures to return, was advised that shouldn't be a problem as not worn and still had proof of purchase, then passed through to store where explained situation again and was told that could have an exchange or money credited to gift card. On this advise returned dress to store to be confronted by a manger who advised he would not accept dress, explained I had returned this due to advise his staff had given, he was not willing to listen and asked me to leave the store. Contacted customer service who then arranged for dress to be collected and full refund minus £4 delivery charge. In my experience managers need more training on how to deal with customers - I certainly won't be dealing with them again! read more
