Memories that I had long forgotten emerged from when I was about 5 or 6 years old, that I finally resolved. Problems Every Time…read more I am a former patient of Dr.Thompson (excellent) but now teaching, not practicing I found this provider in the yellow pages. I called to become a new patient and was told I had to make an appointment. I went to the appointment. I waited about 45 minutes to be seen. The Doctor came in and was very nice - she asked why I was there. I told her when I called to become a new patient I was told that I had to come in. (I had to take the day off work to do so) she told me that was not necessary and was not sure why anyone would tell me that. She apologized and stated that I would not be charged and I left. On the way out - I stopped at the front desk to fill out a request to have my files transferred. A few weeks later I had an unexpected issue arise that I needed a referral for. I made an appointment and waited, again - about 40 minutes to be called back. The p.a that seen me was great, she referred me to specialist. While I was paying my cooay at the office window I asked if they had received my records. I was told that they did not have a release on file. I told them that I had completed one the last time I was there. She said they didn't have it, so I completed another one. I called to schedule an annual exam today. Nobody from the office had contacted me - and I am a couple weeks past due (I called my insurance provider to see when my last appointment date was so I could figure out if I was due or not) I was expecting that the new office would have contacted me to arrange. I called in to make the appointment and asked if they had ever gotten my records. I was told "No." I called the records holder and they told me they never received a request from the new provider. I called the office here again and asked to schedule an appointment because I am passed due. After giving my name the woman that answered the phone this time said "did you call here earlier" - I replied "yes". This woman stated that it was "funny that I called back" because the "girl" that took my call earlier said I hung up abruptly" (after thanking her I suppose) She said "My Name is Jodi and I'm the Office Manager". I asked if she could schedule my appointment or if I needed to call back at a later time. She said "LOOK! ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE AN ISSUE HERE?" I said - I am trying to make an appointment and you are giving me a really hard time". She raised her voice and said "I THINK YOU NEED TO FIND ANOTHER PROVIDER!" and hung up on me. I was in shock. So much for patient care. :( I cannot imagine being in a crisis or expecting a child and being dealt with in such a hateful, condescending, unprofessional manner. I never had any issue with the health care providers here, but clearly the office is not ran/managed in a way that is conducive to patient care. Until this unfortunate situation is remedied, I would avoid this office completely. I can see having an occasional mix up or hiccup every now and then, but every time I encountered issues with this office, until the final Blow up/Hang up. Not Professional, Not Caring, Not Organized. Very Sad.

She will adjust you and tell you to come back if you are not better in X amount of time. If she tells me to come back then I know I really need to and I ALWAYS do. Her staff always gets me in to see her the same day that I call. She is pleasant, fun to talk to and does not rush her patients in and out. She actually takes time to talk to you and find out what is going on to help pin point how to fix you up. I can't say enough good things about her and her staff!
