The bar felt safe for the most part, metal detector and searches to get in, lots of security in the building. They have a few VIP options with seating in the main bar area and VIP upstairs. Drinks were reasonably priced. The crowd is slightly young, I would say predominately 18-21. I would recommend not showing up until 12, we showed up around 11 and the club was dead. The main artist (Dillon Francis) did not even start until 3am which I found to be way too late. Overall, cool experience while visiting London but couldn't need to return. Main floor is accessible, top floor there are stairs to access 1 room and VIP area.

The room is really very cool - the lights and smoke machine give a very unique effect and the smoke filled the room which didn't make it seem quite so empty. Despite the lack of people, the music was good and the atmosphere was quite nice, so it was a fun night. The drinks were overpriced for a student night which was very disappointing. I found the bouncers very nice, not as aggro as many can be, they had a casual chat with me and my friends, weren't rude at all. What I found bizarre was that Lightbox don't allow you to take pens in. A strange thing to be upset about but I had come with a work bag which had a lot of stationary in, which had to be confiscated. A bit of a shame! Regardless, I will definitely be visiting again.

The venue was perfect and offered a variety of different rooms and settings from Little Finger's brothel to the Red Wedding banquet table, the opportunity to sit on The Iron Throne itself or dance the night away with star DJ Christian Nairn (who plays Hodor in the hit show). They decked out every room brilliantly and had an area for every vibe you might be feeling. The encouraged costume element just also made it so much fun and had a mix of those dressed as characters, creatures or in general medieval attire. The venue is located up the road from Brixton Station, so it's really easy to find. The main space has a very large standing area with a bar and DJ booth. Perhaps this is only true of the day that I was there, but the decor on the main floor was supremely plain. There is also a balcony, but I'm not sure if it has seating or not. It looked like standing only. The colorful balcony, on the other hand, was covered in gilded crown molding. According to the website, the capacity is 1700 people. If I was an artist, I would be nervous to perform in a space this size. It's not small enough for an intimate show, but it's too small to convey the power of a stadium show. Lucky for me, Rudimental's crazy live show energized the entire space. For future reference, I probably wouldn't see an R&B or old school singer here.

Couple this with the fact that they don't display set times and the bouncer refusing to tell me earlier in the night when walking past makes the cynic in me say that this is just another ruse to get you in earlier buying drinks whilst waiting and waiting for the show to start! Until these places start working on the fan experience then a 3 will be the max unless something very special happens.
