I came to see William for a shampoo and haircut. What an amazing experience! He took his time to consult with me about my hair, my past haircut experiences, and my expectations. I peppered him with questions about hair care and products, and he patiently answered every single one. From the washing sink to the haircut to the style and blow dry, I felt very taken care of. honestly don't know what this salon is doing or how they train their staff, but I had a terrible experience at DeCarra Salon. Part of my hair was literally burned during the service, and instead of taking responsibility or helping to fix it, they tried to brush it off. I've been trying to cover the damaged area ever since, and it's honestly embarrassing. The customer service was just as bad and no apology no offer to make things right.... nothing...they brushed it off like it was nothing... Well, came in for a blow dry never having been there before. The lady at the reception desk didn't greet me when I arrived so I introduced myself and requested the stylist I was to see. She said 'go on back' to which I replied I'm new here, where is that station? Immediately she got up and started walking deeper into the salon, I figured she wanted me to follow her so off I went. I then introduced myself to the stylist who was friendly although didn't seem to hear what I had requested, in fact she didn't ask which way I part my hair. She offered a flat iron when I asked for body. The blow dry lasted a couple days after which time one wouldn't even know it had been done. Great clean salon but, HORRIBLE service i mean like i am never returning to this place. The stylist who did my hair was Camryn, I chose her because she claimed to specialize in LONG hair. Therefore i just wanted a trim and long layers, keep in mind i had LONG hair up to my hips, i left the salon with hair cut SO unevenly, till this day it is so uneven and can't grow back correctly, and she cut my hair so short, shoulder length. I was furious and very upset with my service. especially since it was around $100. Didn't listen at all to what i wanted, never communicated with me throughout the service was busy talking to the girl next to her, and left me with horrific uneven short hair. I was so specific that i wanted long layers, and a small trim but i kept telling her i wanted to keep my length. 0/10. First & Last time here. read more

My last stylist I had been going to for over 10 years and she moved out of state last summer - needless to say I hadn't had a haircut since Aug 2018. I came here a few days ago after booking a last minute appointment for a hair cut. The receptionist booked me with Neta and I'm so glad she did! Neta is great! So relatable, but doesn't force the small talk and she did an amazing job cleaning up my dead ends and thinning it out a bit. I like that she also provided feedback on my requests vs. just doing what I'm asking for. I'm obviously not a professional so I like that she wasn't scared to offer her opinion as well. My hair feels so much healthier now and dare I say that it looks like it got its wave back. Post-kids my hair has had a weird kink for a while and I recently air dried it and it looked great! As for the salon itself, it's definitely a little dated and cheesy looking. They use an intercom system to alert the stylist their their client has arrived - not gonna lie, it sounds like I'm at the grocery store and there's a clean up on aisle 2. I will add, it they sell and use Unite hair products which I appreciate because I've had a hard time finding a salon that sells the Unite line. Overall, I will be back to see Neta! read more

Love, love, love this place. I started coming to this salon last year after moving from the west side. I have been seeing Emily for the past few months and have to say that she has me addicted. She's so personable! I used to hate having to sit for color, but time flies when we are hanging out. Also, I'm getting non stop compliments. I thought my hair was OK and even tipped stylist. But of course my hair was already blown out by me and shaped. It was not until I came home and washed it and blew it out. I asked for a blunt cut but I did not ask for a shapeless cut it is a disaster done by Kristi. And I think her prices are exorbitant considering she did not shampoo and condition my hair and just wet it down a little and blew it out. I don't care how long you've been cutting hair the length of time does not determine whether you're good or not. And when she was almost through with me one of her clients walked in for color And that person's haircut and style I considered a total disaster. The service is impeccable and the prices are very fair compared to other high end salons like Decarra. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is extremely welcoming. I just got back from seeing her after my horrible experience at Floyd's, and even Cristen was horrified by the cut. She went in and corrected everything she could. I love my short blonde hair and I'm no longer feeling like a Long Island medium look-alike. My new haircut doesn't feel like it's a fix either, more like an amazing makeover. I will never cheat on my girl again, I love my cut and I feel amazing. The salon is also very clean and well-kept. I went in to get my color fixed today by Kariann. I just have to say she is a color goddess. I had been doing my own hair (I know) and I had 2" of natural hair, 6" of reddish tinted hair and another 6" or so of platinum on the bottom. It was a hot mess! I used to go to Rita Hassan in New York City. I moved to Calabasas and Karianne at Decarra was better than every Beverly Hills stylist I saw.
