You can spend a good amount of time walking through the aisles since there's so much variety. We stopped by later in day (around 6pm), so some of the stands had already shut down for the day, but I could see how extensive and amazing it would be midday (maybe even a little overwhelming for people who don't love crowded spaces or who get decision paralysis when there's too many choices and things to look at). Now having visited, I agree with my Spanish tutor - it's a great market for shopping for souvenirs (jewelry, glassware, silver, etc.). It's really large and really fun to explore.
