Offering a no-fuss, laid back vibe & serving up all-day-breakfasts, lunch, as well as great coffee from Uncle Joe's coffee. Friendly staff & a happy atmosphere that matches perfectly with it's colourful outdoor seating. Lots of delicious sounding items to choose from, but we went with: 1) "Stacks On" - smashed avocado on toasted turkish bread, crispy bacon, two poached eggs, haloumi, herbed cherry tomatoes on a bed of rocket, drizzled with balsamic glaze ($16.50) & 2) "Breakky burger" - crispy bacon, grilled haloumi, spinach & a fried egg with tomato relish, as well as avocado on toasted ciabatta roll ($14.50). It did not disappoint. A very flavoursome & incredibly filling breakfast. My long black coffee, spot-on. Perfect temperature, the right strength & no bitterness. Surprisingly this particular cup had a slight sweetness to it, but enjoyable nonetheless. Great day at Deedot & looking forward to finding ourselves in this part of Brisbane again. read more

A slice of West End in Brisbane's South-East! Picture this: you're greeted by a smiley (but not creepy) waitress. She invites you to sit at a cute table suited to your needs (high chairs for kids, long table for groups, two-seater tables snugged up near the wall - whatever you need hey!). One look at the menu and your mouth waters. Then boom! They serve your AMAZING breakfast on a wooden chopping board #ontrend SO. GOOD. The mochas are good too. Must of attended on an off day. After reading previous reviews and being in the area we locked in Deedot. The eggs Benedict were the final choice for myself and dining companion with a supplementary long black each. I always forgot to have a plan B when attending a cafe/restaurant as they were out of my first choice for breakfast. The bagel w/ smoked Salmon. With the cafe coming to the closing hour and the outdoor seating empty. Hopes for quick and friendly service were quickly answered but that wasn't what let us down. The meal did. I could not finish the coffee due the flavor being indistinguishable whilst there was far more bread than eggs or Benedict, being the main ingredients it should be the other way around. Both members of the party left unsatisfied and I understand that it was towards the end of the day but if the kitchen is open, its open. read more

Beautiful cafe with amazing food. The coffee was a great blend, the smoothie was nicely balanced, and the food was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive and were more than happy to alter some orders for dietary requirements and other changes. Prices were affordable and well worth the cost for what was served. Menu was lengthy and most certainly had something for everyone. Decor and atmosphere was great. Love the little corner cafe vibe it's got going on. Will definitely be back! read more

A place packed to the rafters is good indicator on what's installed, having said that, we did find a seat very quickly . Service was quick and friendly , and breakfast was fantastic . We ordered the smashed avo with poached eggs and halomi on Turkish bread, also the traditional eggs Benedict . read more

Never had a bad experience at this place. The coffee is great and so is the food. Well I assume all of it is.. I only assume because I am completely addicted to their Stacks On. Mmmm Haloumi... *drool* Their protein smoothies are yummy too. The service is always excellent. I don't know where they found the young peeps working there but they are amazing with their customer service. They all seem so happy and willing to help. This goes a LONG way. Love going here on a lazy Sunday and being fed incredible noms. read more

Yay! I was very excited to find this place recently - a local cafe that means I don't have to trek into the very inner city area to have a great breakfast is a massive bonus. Deedot Coffee House has a huge sunny outdoor area to eat in, serve up Uncle Joe's Coffee (currently the Hey Joe blend), and have a great breakfast menu. I had a very simple bacon, scrambled eggs on sourdough with tomato, but it was done very well and very delicious. I had jealous eyes over my sisters "Stacks On", a lovely ensemble of avocado, bacon, poached eggs, haloumi, cherry tomatoes, rocket, balsamic on turkish bread. Unfortunately the poached eggs were a bit borderline - still had a bit of goo in the yolk but slightly overdone. I'd rather them that way than underdone though. Still, due to the convenient location and Uncle Joe's coffee, I am definitely making this my new local. read more

Where was this place when I lived in Holland Park? On my last trip home to Australia my sisters were insistent on taking me to Deedot, and I'm stoked that they did. My breakfast was a literal stack of food, served on a wooden board and drizzled with balsamic. Eggs, halloumi, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, rocket, all piled up high on toast. On a busy ANZAC Day running errands, we wanted to find somewhere to eat Breakfast. What a challenge! Finding somewhere OPEN in Brisbane on a public holiday! But we came upon this nice, welcoming cafe on the corner in Holland Park West. We pulled into the car park behind it, and realised that all the car parks were reserved for every other business in the complex except the cafe. So we parked in a nearby residential street. Even though the other businesses there were all closed, we felt that we would probably get towed or fined for parking in those other reserved spots. That's probably the ONLY thing wrong with Deedot. No special exclusive parking for Deedot customers. But aside from that - this place is amazing! We were greeted with a friendly smile, a "Hey, guys! Welcome!" and were seated immediately, even though the place was packed inside and out. They immediately placed a bottle of cold water and two glasses on the table for us. We ordered some amazing food from the breakfast menu. You line up and order/pay at the counter. The line went fairly quickly, and the service at the counter was friendly too. There was a sign saying, "No surcharge today" (amazing!), and there were heaps of staff working! All happy, smiling, singing, laughing, working hard and really having a good time on the job. Great to see! We were given a table number... Well, actually a table letter. The coffee and food was served with such a positive and fun attitude, even though they were extremely busy. The coffee was just delicious, and the food was some of the best cafe food I've had in a long time. A most pleasant experience. We were one week from travelling to New York and it was like we were experiencing a little bit of New York in Brisbane suburbia. In NYC they work for tips, so everyone is always really positive and friendly - but I dare say it's all an act to get the good tips. Here, they were just naturally fun and happy. No worries about it being a public holiday either. They all just seemed really stoked to be the only venue open on the street. Happy to all be working, happy to not charge the public holiday surcharge that others would have (the few who can be bothered opening). They even had high speed wifi! FREE! Yep - For your enjoyment, you can use your phone or laptop and get some free, decent internet. Very cool! Loved it! Would've received five stars if not for the parking. But if you're walking there, catching a bus, or don't mind parking outside a house and walking for a bit, you will find that this is a really awesome place to eat. They even say goodbye to you when you leave. You will feel welcome and cared for at Deedot. read more

My husband and I have visited deedot twice now in the last couple of weeks. It's a cute little spot with a hipster vibe. Although you may have a short wait for a table, once you have been seated and ordered your food, the service is pretty quick. The coffee, food and even the juice are all really good. The "stacks on" is amazing. This past visit I tried the bacon eggs benny but I was a little disappointed. There was too much bread, not enough hollandaise. I wouldn't order it again. The immunity booster juice (orange, raspberry and ginger) was delicious. The portions here are huge, you will not leave hungry. read more

My husband and I like trying new cafes and, as we were coming from different directions thought this would be an ideal spot. It was a week day lunchtime and it was fairly busy which is a good sign. We ordered and our hot drinks arrived fairly quickly. We finished our drinks and still had to wait a while for our food. As it seems a popular place I would have thought the drinks and food would arrive closer together. The food was nice though but probably won't go out of our way to return. read more

In summary -Great coffee, good food and the friendly staff. Love walking my dog up for brunch and lunch. I have been here several times now and have always had a pleasant experience. Stopped in for a take away coffee. Took my keep cup along to save a bit of rubbish. Disappoint to see the "barista" make it in the paper cup, pour it into the keep cup and bin the paper one. Whats the point, seriously poor show. read more

This is my local coffee spot and I pass every morning with my staffordshire cross, Guoppo ( beautiful in Spanish), the wonder dog. Despite looking like the odd couple, we have always been greeted by Jade and the crew like long lost relatives. This is a great place for food and coffee. The service is quite frankly some of the best I have seen in Brisbane. They have experimented with different coffee blends and I must admit I was not a fan initially of the Marco and only came for the service, but the present Uncle Joe's blend is a winner. The meals are always top notch , ranging from the Egg Bennys to the sumptuous home made baked beans with poached eggs. Yum, you can see I am an egg aficionado. This is the best cafe in the strip, among some tough competition. read more

I went here breakfast recently and all I can say is disappointing!! Not only was it ridiculously slow to get our meals, but unfortunately the service was less than exciting. We came here for a combined birthday brunch. It is nice and handy to where my folks live. They kindly gave us a nice protected spot out of the wind for the 9 of us. I would have given them 5 stars but unfortunately the kitchen forgot a few ordered items off the breakfast menu. Bacon was missed twice off two meals and a coffee was missed as well. The staff are very friendly which somehow made you not mind about the little mix ups so much. The coffee was good, not blow your mind but very good. Food was delicious and the price is reasonable. A busy and popular spot on the weekend, book if you have a big group. Overall I will come back here in a flash for breakfast or lunch. read more
