Have had deere construction equipment for years, the new stuff has alot of problems, when warranty is up, your screwed, 800 hrs on a $91,000 skid steer, needs new final drive. every other brand didnt replace final drive till 3000. hrs. machine is 2 yrs old. this is the last dollar john deere will ever see from us. over rated, over priced sub par equipment, beware, buy something else......... read more

We have made many visits to the John Deere World Headquarters and nearby John Deere Product Pavillion. Both have large displays of machinary for the kids (and adults) to climb up in and explore. I love the buildings and grounds of the HQ. Very serene. read more

If you are looking to buy a utility tractor don't buy John Deere. Their factory support is terrible. Save your $20,000 and buy a different brand. In February 2014 I purchased a used John Deere 1026R from Tractor Central in West Salem, WI. It had a bucket and a 60" deck. It was a 2012 but only had 11 hours on it. The first year of mowing I broke a connecting rod on the lift arms of the tractor that connects to the mower, It think it was just white metal, very cheap. So I purchased a replacement for $27.82. If you know John Deere you can tell it was a cheap part. The next year the same part broke. When I went back to Tractor Central they said John Deere had redesigned the entire lift arm and the replacement was now $290.93 which would have been covered under warranty but since my tractor was out of warranty I had to pay for it. You can imagine a ton of owners had the same problem I had and that is why John Deere changed the part. I said the original part was obviously a very inferior design and the replacement should be covered by John Deere. Tractor Central could do nothing but give me the address for John Deere customer service. After sending a letter John Deere they again said tough, no warranty you pay for the part even if they knew it was a poor design from the start. I have been waiting for 4 months for the factory rep to show up at Tractor Central so I can talk to him in person. All the Tractor Central manager tells me is he continues to email and call the factory rep but he never responds. Very frustrating. Think twice about buying a John Deere utility tractor and working with Tractor Central. read more
